Dakota Traditions of Food Sovereignty is a conversational podcast with Dakota Elder Angela Redman. We will explore growing food as medicine and which foods help remedy certain health conditions. We will also look into the importance of food sovereignty in Indigenous communities and learn more about Indigenous agriculture.

This series is for Dakota language learners with an interest in this traditional use of the land.

The name of her podcast is Wicozani (Wi-cho-zuh-nee) and means: “Good way of life, how the person and their family guide their life in a good way”
