Are you a Christian entrepreneur feeling shackled by self-doubt or the fear of selling? Prepare to have your mindset radically transformed. In this candid interview, Nicky Billou, a renowned Iranian-Canadian entrepreneur and top podcast host, pulls no punches as he challenges conventional wisdom and inspires listeners to embrace the ultimate key to success: freedom.
Drawing from his powerful personal journey of escaping tyranny to unlock his true potential, Nicky passionately articulates why freedom is the bedrock of entrepreneurship. Without the liberty to express ourselves freely and chart our own course, he argues, the spirit of enterprise withers. Yet when we operate from a place of freedom, rooted in our faith and values, we unleash our ability to create abundantly and live out our God-given purpose.
At the core of Nicky's message is a paradigm shift in how we view sales – an area where many Christian entrepreneurs stumble. With tough love and refreshing candor, he reframes sales not as a necessary evil, but as an "act of love" – a sacred opportunity to serve those we care about deeply. This mind-shifting perspective invites listeners to confront self-limiting beliefs head-on and embrace discomfort as the catalyst for breakthrough growth.

Developing a growth mindset involves cultivating the belief that abilities and intelligence can be developed through dedication and hard work. This mindset contrasts with a fixed mindset, where individuals believe their abilities are innate and unchangeable. Here are steps to foster a growth mindset:
Understand the Concept: Learn about Growth Mindset:* Familiarize yourself with the concept of a growth mindset. Understand that challenges are opportunities to grow, and effort is a path to mastery.
Embrace Challenges: See Challenges as Opportunities:* Instead of avoiding challenges, embrace them. View them as a chance to learn and improve.
Learn from Criticism: See Feedback as Constructive:* Instead of taking criticism personally, view it as a way to identify areas for improvement. Use feedback to adjust and enhance your skills.
Persist in the Face of Setbacks: Develop Resilience:* Understand that setbacks are part of the learning process. Instead of giving up, see them as opportunities to learn and try again.
Effort is the Path to Mastery: Value Effort:* Cultivate a belief that effort leads to improvement. The more effort you put into learning and developing skills, the more progress you'll make.
Learn from Others: Celebrate Others' Success:* Instead of feeling threatened by others' success, use it as inspiration. Learn from people who have achieved what you aspire to and see it as proof that your goals are attainable through effort.
Cultivate Curiosity: Stay Curious:* Develop a love for learning. Be curious and explore new topics, ideas, and skills. The more you learn, the more you'll grow.
Mindfulness and Self-awareness: Reflect on Your Mindset:* Regularly assess your mindset. If you notice a fixed mindset thought, challenge it. Replace it with a growth mindset perspective.
Set Learning Goals: Focus on the Process:* Instead of just setting outcome goals, set learning goals. Concentrate on the process of acquiring new skills and knowledge.
Create a Positive Environment: Surround Yourself with Positivity:* Engage with people who have a growth mindset. Create an environment that encourages learning and development.
Acknowledge and Celebrate Progress: Value Progress over Perfection:* Instead of aiming for perfection, focus on progress. Celebrate the small victories along the way.
Continual Improvement: See Success as a Journey:* Recognize that success is a journey, not a destination. Keep seeking opportunities for improvement.
Model a Growth Mindset for Others: Be an Example:* If you're in a leadership or teaching role, model a growth mindset for others. Demonstrate how challenges can be approached with a positive, learning-oriented attitude.
Read and Learn: Read About Growth Mindset:* There are several books and resources on growth mindset. Reading about the experiences of others can reinforce and deepen your understanding.
Developing a growth mindset is an ongoing process. It involves a shift in perspective and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. By intentionally applying these principles, you can foster a mindset that promotes resilience, adaptability, and a love for learning.

Jeffrey Continued writing music in high school and at Wayne State University as a Music Management student would meet his first and recent producers that would open the opportunity to record music for the first time.
In 2014, Jeffrey would start working on his first Album "The JLE Experience" that would be released in March 2019. Before Graduating from Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business in August of 2020, Jeffrey would start his Podcast "Middle Ground with JLE L.L.C." "Where We Treat You Like Family". Bron didn’t know she was a “fish”. Not when she responded to the Salvo email for volunteers to work on Nauru. Not when she landed there and walked out into the hot tropical sun. Not even when she completed her induction.
Bronwyn first started to get an inkling that she may be a fish when she recognised the churning in her stomach as fear. She was afraid of the asylum seekers because they were different to her and although it took her a while, Bron came fully face to face with her “fishiness”. She realised that she’d been swimming in the water of racism and white privilege her whole life – part of growing up in a mono-cultural conservative Bible-belt part of Sydney.
Bron couldn’t stop being a fish, but now she knew about her “water” she could work with it. As she returned to Nauru in the full-time role of Religious Liaison Officer, responsible for the religious needs of the entire asylum seeker cohort – Muslims, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Zoroastrians - it became a joy for Bronwyn to sit at her desk and hear so many languages swirl around her. Working in a multi-faith, multi-race team, Bron learned to value difference as an asset rather than see it as a threat.
Now, Bronwyn uses that insight to raise awareness of bias, work to identify the biases at play and assist in developing strategies to work with bias rather than have it be a limiting factor in the workplace.

In this episode, I had a great conversation with LaTisha Styles about the importance of identifying subconscious blocks and tools we can use to overcome them.
Subconscious Blocks hinder our ability to be productive in life and in business, some of these blacks have been with us so long we chalk them up to simply being a part of who we are.
In our conversation LaTisha states, "I could give someone the tools and the systems and the how to sometimes there was always this little thing here or there that prevented them from taking action and getting success with it.
So then the question became, not only what causes someone to buy, but what causes someone to just take action and help them to get the results.
And that led me into where I am now, which is helping business, owners entrepreneurs and any individual who realizes that they have more potential, help them to shift subconscious blocks so that they can create massive profit and assume the throne, in their in their life and in their business.

What does it take to become a coach with clarity ? In this episode I ask that question to Lee Chaix McDonough founder of "Coach with Clarity". In this conversation Lee provides us with practical and easily implementable tools that we can use to become that which we desire to be.
Here is just a snippet of our conversation, Lee states :
I developed a tool that I call the coaching business compass, and it's composed of eight different directions that you can take in your business at any given time, based on what your priorities are, where you're at, in your journey.
If you're creating a new offer, I mean, there's a lot to consider here, I created it as a compass and not a roadmap. Because a roadmap is really linear, it suggests we're going to do something, we're going to hit a milestone, check that box and move on.
Whereas we know in business, a lot of times we're going back, we're revisiting core concepts and ideas and even our core values. So a compass allows us to pivot to head in another direction and then move back at a later point.
But on that compass that I've created, the true north, the very first direction is about your identity. It's really ensuring that you have a clear understanding of what matters most to you. So before we even start talking about your ideal client, who they are and your offer and all of that, we need to really ground down into your values.
What matters most was to you ,the natural skills and talents you bring to the table because I guarantee you have them. Even if they don't necessarily feel like strengths or talents right away, they're in there. And in fact, often what makes us really powerful as coaches and what sets us apart, we don't even see as a strength because it comes so naturally to us.
We actually have to have other people point that out, right?
Yeah, right, right. So we will, we want to make sure we're really clear on who we are not as even as a coach, but as a human being, what we stand for and what we believe in.
Once we're really solid on our values and our strengths, then we can start facing outward. And looking at our ideal clients, our coaching approach, our coaching offers, all of that is important that comes next.
But we have to have that really strong foundation in our identity first.

Mom's we are enough !! In this episode of La'Quita's Toolbox, me and America's Supermom have a discussion about the stress of motherhood and the importance of identity.
In this episode we highlight how important it is for us as a community to learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of when people are struggling, even when they won't admit it.
And likewise, learn some tools that you can use to help them navigate through their situation, because depression is real. It doesn't care about class, race, ethnic origin, religious belief system, or non-belief system, it doesn't matter.
It's something that can happen to any of us, regardless of who we are, what we do. And as women, we have to be aware of that, whether we have one child, or two children, or three children, it seems everyday we have to learn how to show up as our authentic self.

In this episode, I have a great conversation with Theresa Lear Levine.
We discuss the technique that she uses to help her clients called EFT and that stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. It's been around for decades.
Some people might have heard of it called tapping before.
It's not uncommon these days for a lot of therapists to incorporate some tapping or some EFT work into their sessions. Everybody does it a little bit differently,
Theresa shares with us a few details as to how EFT works and what EFT is.
When working with EFT, we're working with our Meridian endpoints, which are the same areas of your body that an acupuncturist or a massage therapist would access in order to release physical pain and things like that. But we're also combining that with modern psychology. And we are releasing those negative emotions. The coolest thing I think about EFT is that anything you can feel, whether it's physical or emotional, can be improved upon or eliminated completely, when you use EFT with it. So it gets all four of your bodies, so to speak. So we have a mental body, we have a physical body, we have an emotional body, and we have a spiritual body.

In this episode Dr. Jenkins and I are having a blast discussing the 8 dimensions of Self-care and how we need to include them into every aspect of our lives
Sitting and enjoying a meal in the company of friends is your social self care, eating a better quality of food is your physical self care, right?
Even being in an environment that is uplifting, is environmental, self care, but you've also got spiritual self care, because spiritual self care is not just about your personal religious practice, it's about your space in the bigger universe, and how you connect with the world around you.
Like there's just this whole vibe, that when you leave, you genuinely leave feeling better.
The company you're keeping is actually nourishing the environment, the aesthetics of the place, the pub or the marketplace where you're going to eat is aesthetically pleasing. Like, it's self care is literally woven into every piece of life there.
Unfortunately, that's something that not a lot of Americans get to experience. And when I say things like, okay, but you can create that for yourself. People look at me like I got six. heads it's like, yeah, no, I can't. No, yes. You can.
You have to set a boundary. It starts with you saying, No, I'm not going to do all of this.

Brittany Nicole is an Author, Podcaster, Speaker and Award-winning Educator!!
Brittany and I had such an amazing conversation in this episode!!
I remember reading this devotional I forget, I can't remember who wrote the devotional. But the writer said something so profound. He talked about the multiple uses of a butter knife, he said, you can use a butter knife to get gum off the wall. You can use a butter knife to scrape something or unscrew something. But that's not what its purpose is !
So many of us are doing things just haphazardly or because we think it'll make money or, you know, we think that is the popular thing to do or what have you. But it's something about doing what you were purposed to do.
And when you really understand that it's so powerful, because you find joy and peace and saying, Okay, so the opportunity is just not my thing this time, you know, and so I'd rather operate in the place that God created me to operate in than to just be out here, just doing whatever, you know what I mean? So yes, there are a lot of good things we can do. But we really have to make sure we're doing the things God designed us to do and not just good things, that things can be good. What's your purpose? And I think that's huge, like you say, for entrepreneurs, especially because a lot of times there's so much competition, whether we say it or not, we're looking at other people who are doing what we want to do, or they're seemingly successful.

Alexandra Stockwell, MD is known as “The Intimacy Doctor.” She is anIntimate Marriage Expert who specializes in coaching couples to build beautiful,long-lasting, passionate relationships
Alexandra and I had an amazing conversation in this Live Broadcast about Marriage, Intimacy and Entrepreneurship
Celebration is so important, especially when it comes to our spouse, or our romantic partner. And here's why, as human beings we need it in order to just survive and thrive and live our lives.
We need to be on the lookout for danger. I mean, it used to be for, you know, the Tigers and the lions that might endanger us. Now, it can just as well be the ongoing judgemental commentary in our head, which is what is not keeping us safe.
But the point is that if you've got an issue with your partner, or there's some way in which he or she is bugging you, or you just have some, challenge, that is mostly what people focus on, even if it's only 15- 20% of the relationship, they focus on that 90% of the time.
It's like whenever you think of your husband, you get that feeling in your body of disappointment and frustration, because you can't quite figure out how to get him on board, as you want to use your creative energy and bring in more income and grow in the way that any entrepreneur needs to grow whatever your motivation is.
And so we can easily fill the real estate of our mind with something that really only deserves a small amount of our attention. It does deserve attention, but only a smaller amount. And in that case, one of the very best things to do here's the first tool is to celebrate, celebrate what is going well, celebrate that you all had a lovely dinner together, celebrate what a beautiful home you've made with your partner, there are things that still bring you pleasure in that relationship.
And don't forget about them, celebration will remind you and just doing that often makes whatever the challenge is a lot simpler to navigate. Because it's not overtaking you and you don't feel as helpless. When you remember the larger context.

Maryann Rivera-Dannert is the Fearless Living Coach !!
She and I had a great conversation about the importance of "Fearless Living" Her mission is to see women silence their insecurities, build healthy boundaries and fearlessly pursue the life and career of their dreams.
And what exactly does that mean?
As women, we are wives, girlfriends, mothers, daughters, employees, you know, we are always taking care of other people, whether it's a significant other, whether it's your coworkers, your employees, if you're the boss, your neighbor, elderly parents, and so forth children in some way along the lines, our dreams and our goals, our passions, they get put on the backburner.
"I don't have time, I'll do that later. I don't have time, I'll do that later, I'll go back to school when the kids are, you know, in high school and can you know, fend for themselves, you know, I'll go back to work when the kids you know, enter kindergarten, and I'll just get a job around there, you know, schedule, you know, I'll do this, when I retire, I'll travel the world when I retire.
we're constantly putting ourselves on the backburner for everyone else. And at the end of the day, if you're not taking care of yourself, if you're not pursuing your passions, you're just going by life, and instead of making life happen, life is happening to you.
It's not a healthy way to live.
Because deep down inside, eventually, you are going to get to a place that you are going to resent, you are going to just give up on life, you're going to possibly get depressed, stressed out and sometimes people may not take you seriously. I'll just do it whenever.
But the more something is eating at you, that little burning sensation, that feeling inside of you, that just keeps nagging and nagging and nagging, the more that you ignore it, the louder it gets, but at a certain point, is just going to stop.

With Dr. Ian Brooks
I’m Ian D. Brooks, and I care about people and cherish the relationships built. My career spans 24 years – covering clinical psychology and personal development – with the mission of helping people move incrementally toward sustained achievements.
My early experience in clinical psychology taught me a valuable understanding of how our history and choices influence the direction taken. The power of this experience transitioned to working with organizational leaders and individuals – who are already successful – but want to expand beyond their current boxes.
I invest in – time, money, and energy – and am willing to take risks toward improving my life. I challenge myself to extend beyond my comfort zone to see what’s next. This is not in comparison to others but in comparison to my personal bar.
I earned my PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Marshall Goldsmith School of Management at Alliant International University and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University at Montgomery.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Morehouse College. I also pursued a National Academy of Sports Medicine certification and a bar-tending license, furthering my development to understand individuals and build connections.
In my free time, I enjoy working out, wine tasting, motorcycles, conducting “mixologies”, attending sporting events, and continuously pushing my personal boundaries. In the end – what’s the worst that can happen?
Ian’s Coaching Style:
My coaching style integrates laughter and dialog. I’m here to reestablish the behavioral foundation of leadership and personal transformations. I have a reputation of asking tough questions that penetrate, where the answers expose the deepest kind of individual conditioning.
My strength is to recognize the potential and talent of other people and offer guidance. I have an inherent ability to understand the challenges you are facing or the growth you are seeking. By reducing the anxiety associated with transforming, I focus on the behaviors and management of emotions that can be transferred to other situations.
I am here to break you of old patterns and acknowledge the templates that have offered safety. Intended to be vulnerable, this awareness offers the groundwork to act and experience the journey of transformation.

Clarene Mitchell is my guest for this episode.
We discuss a few key things that can help bring clarity to those looking to improve their LinkedIn or get started on LinkedIn.:
Are we fully utilizing LinkedIn?
Do we understand LinkedIn best practices?
LinkedIn is not just for job seekers!! LinkedIn is a great platform to organically generate value added leads for entrepreneurs.
Do we understand the process and value of social selling?
Consistently providing value-added content is a great example of the 80/20 rule for social media stresses the importance of providing value over “selling”.
Clarene’s work history includes print journalism, public relations, community outreach and activism. When she initially started TCM Communications, she offered broad public relations consulting.
Clarene quickly zoned in to providing LinkedIn coaching, training and speaking exclusively based on the inquiries she received.
She also saw a gap in there being skilled professionals who exclusively provided the services.
Clarene’s daily use of the platform gives her expertise that goes far beyond what some may just read in a book or gain from a training.
As of January 2021, she created 'The LinkedIn Results Ignitor' as her business moniker. Clarene is very outcomes driven. When clients begin with her, she tells them that the process is all about them getting a return on their investment. She starts out with key LinkedIn data regarding their status on the platform.
Clarene and her clients work as a team to improve the data. As their analytics improve, they start generating results on the platform.

Do you trust the process? When writing the vision, we must understand the process. Understanding the process means TRUSTING the process. In the process, there will be times to take action, times to be still, times to seek guidance and it will always be necessary to be prayerful.
In the process, you will always end up where you are destined to be. Stay positive and keep the faith, this attitude is what will help keep you on the path to your purpose. Holding the vision in your heart is not only seeking God’s promises. It’s also trusting His process.
What do you see as the outcome of your vision? How do you embrace God’s vision for you? If things do not happen the way you expected, how do you embrace the thought of it being what you asked for?

Do you know who you are? When it comes to what we want in life, we must know who we are. If we want to go after our desires and success and happiness we must get to the root of who we are. Are we doing what we love or are we just doing it to occupy our time? Are we fulfilling our dreams or are we doing what others think we should be doing? It’s time to get to know you. Knowing who you are creates a path of opportunity and knowledge of where you should be in life. Knowing who you are means you know what business you want to work in, what success you want to achieve, and getting the happiness you strive for. Knowing who you are allows you to take part in things that will teach you lessons and be bigger and better in a situation that you didn’t think you could handle before. Knowing who you are reveals the power that you have to ensure that your next step will keep you ahead even if it looks like you’re behind.
Whose are you? A main part of knowing who you are is knowing WHOSE you are. Being secure and knowing that if we cast all our cares, we can be humble and know that everything will be okay. Knowing who you are means knowing that there is a higher power that cares and loves you and that will fulfill the desires of your heart. If you know who you are, and WHOSE you are, why worry?
Know you. Know your PURPOSE. As we discover our likes and dislikes, our strengths and weaknesses, and our way of thinking, we get closer to fulfilling our purpose. Your life, your career, and your dreams are all setting you up for your purpose. Everything that you are working towards is for your path of success. It’s for your path to purpose. How well do you know you? How are you preparing for your purpose?
Purpose. Your purpose is intended to motivate you and others to show what can be accomplished. Your purpose will lead you to lead others. No one's purpose is going to be the same as the next person but you fulfilling your purpose allows others to see that mountains can be moved. Success can be achieved. Dreams can come true. Happiness can happen. The purpose of life is a life of purpose. What is yours?
Every day, we seek what our purpose in life is. Our day-to-day actions, our memorable interactions, our impact on a person’s life, and vice versa. Our true purpose brings joy and keeps us motivated to want more and to do more. Our purpose not only brings joy to others, but to ourselves. We overcome trials and tribulations because we know who we are and we know our purpose strengthens us to become more than what is meant to break us.
Success and is not determined by how much money you have, the rank in which you hold at a job, where you are on the social scene, or how the “higher-ups” view you in society. Knowing your purpose and truly being yourself is success. Seeing something in others that they don’t see in themselves and helping them determines success and purpose. Knowing who you are in Christ and being the best you can be determines your success and purpose. Don’t allow what the world deems as high class or “it” to distract you from your purpose and helping others reach their potential as well.

Do you know how to overcome fear in your life? Do you have the tools to push through when fear strikes?
In this episode, host LaQuita walks you through different strategies to overcome fear in your life.
Overcoming fear through transformation: Use motivation to push through the fear. Take action on where the fear is causing a halt in your life. Take action on what is keeping you from your purpose. Faith without works is dead. Along with our faith, we have to work for the change we want. We have to fight the fear that is holding us back. Your actions won’t look like anyone else’s so find your fear and make sure that you walk through the steps to overcoming it.
Let Go: When it comes to overcoming fear, you have to let go and let God. Releasing your cares and your worries and giving them to God means the fear of something is no longer a problem. Letting go and letting God means you’re trusting the process and you know your outcome and purpose will be fulfilled. The fear that you once had on your mind 24/7 is but a mere thought. Fear is not in control.
It’s You: Overcoming fear is knowing that you are ENOUGH. You are enough to fulfill the goals you are trying to accomplish. You are enough to understand that each problem needs a solution. You are enough that you don’t seek acceptance and validation from others to determine what your outcome is going to be. You are enough and you will always be enough. Overcoming the fear of not being enough in any aspect shows that you’re intentional about your growth and change. Knowing you are enough means you’re never giving up
Claim everything you want: Everything that you want to do, but say you can’t do: start saying you can. Start saying “I can start that business”, “I can achieve success”, “I can be happy”. When you start claiming what you can’t see, it allows you to actually take those necessary steps to overcoming fear and stepping out on faith.

What’s stopping you? The first step to accomplishing your goals and achieving success is identifying what is holding you back. We have to understand and recognize the thing or things that hinder us. It’s vital to identify fear because it can be so heavy that we miss out on what could make us the best version of ourselves. Resentment for self and the “what if’s?” will stay if you don’t fulfill.
Let’s talk about it. When on your journey to success, are you identifying fear? What is your fear? Is it the fear of former experiences? Is it the fear of an emotional overload? Is it avoiding unfortunate circumstances? Is it the fear of something being too impossible to accomplish? Once you identify your fear, you come up with a solution in order to take the necessary steps to overcoming that fear or multiple fears.
