What does it really take to please God? This pivotal question forms the heart of our exploration into the conditions that make our lives pleasing to our Creator. Building on previous teachings, we delve deeper into the essential ingredients of a life that brings joy to God's heart.
Faith emerges as the cornerstone of pleasing God. As Hebrews 11:6 powerfully states, "Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." This faith isn't merely intellectual assent but a dynamic trust that shapes our daily decisions and responses to life's challenges. When we exercise faith, whether for salvation, provision, or guidance, we demonstrate our confidence in God's character and promises.
Beyond faith, we explore the transformative power of being large-hearted. Scripture reveals that God is "well pleased" with those who do good and share with others. This generosity of spirit reflects God's own nature and creates a beautiful cycle—as we receive God's blessings, we become channels through which others are blessed. The practical outworking of this principle touches every relationship and interaction in our lives.
The rewards of pleasing God prove both profound and practical. When our ways please the Lord, we experience answered prayers, peaceful relationships (even with former enemies), and supernatural power to overcome temptation. Yet perhaps most significantly, we gain the immeasurable treasure of God's smile upon our lives—His divine approval and pleasure. Just as Jesus declared, "I always do those things that please Him," we too can live in ways that bring joy to our heavenly Father's heart.
Join us as we unpack these truths and discover how to align our lives with God's desires. Subscribe to New Day of Hope for more insights that will strengthen your faith and transform your walk with God.

What does it truly mean to live a life that pleases God? In a world where most people are fixated on pleasing themselves, this timely episode explores the profound difference between self-satisfaction and divine approval.
Helena and Glynis Langley guide listeners through a compelling biblical study on making God's pleasure our highest ambition. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 5:9 and the powerful example of Jesus who declared, "I always do those things that please Him," they unveil five essential conditions for a life that honors God.
The journey begins with spiritual rebirth, as Romans 8:8 plainly states that "those who are in the flesh cannot please God." This foundation leads naturally to the second condition – separation from sinful influences that entangle believers in their spiritual warfare. The hosts then explore the transformative power of complete dedication, referencing Romans 12:1's call to present our bodies as living sacrifices.
Particularly moving is their examination of Enoch, who "walked with God" and "had this testimony, that he pleased God" so completely that he never experienced death. This ancient example provides a powerful template for modern believers seeking similar divine approval.
The final sections on witnessing and obedience drive home the practical implications of prioritizing God's pleasure. As 1 Samuel 15:22 declares, "to obey is better than sacrifice" – a truth that challenges every listener to examine their own spiritual priorities.
Whether you're struggling with worldly entanglements or seeking to deepen your walk with God, this episode offers clear biblical guidance on trading self-satisfaction for the deeper fulfillment of pleasing your Creator. What do you do when your prayers seem to hit the ceiling and the miracles you're desperately seeking don't materialize? Pastor Glenis Langlais tackles this profound question through the eyes of Habakkuk, a prophet who trusted God yet found himself troubled by divine silence.
Drawing from Habakkuk's raw, honest dialogue with God, Pastor Glenis reveals how our response to apparent divine silence determines our spiritual trajectory. "Trouble will make you bitter or it will make you better. It will drive you from God or it will drive you to God," she explains, showing how Habakkuk chose to climb higher rather than fall into despair. This powerful metaphor of ascending to a watchtower gives us a blueprint for handling those perplexing seasons when heaven seems silent.
The message weaves through Habakkuk's transformation from questioning to trusting, from trembling to rejoicing, offering listeners practical wisdom for their own faith journeys. Pastor Glenis reminds us that prayer isn't about manipulating God to act according to our timeline but "giving God permission to help as His love, power and wisdom directs." His closing declaration resonates with hope: "With or without miracles, Jesus wins. With or without miracles, Jesus is with us." For anyone navigating a season where God's intervention seems delayed, this message provides both comfort and courage to keep trusting in His perfect timing.

In today's episode, Minister Helena reminds us that God is looking for fat disciples. Not someone who's physically fat, but spiritually fat. So, the question is: How fat are you?
Faithful
Available
Teachable
Would you determine in your heart to be a F-A-T disciple? remember the fatter you become spiritually, the more God will be able to use you to make a difference in the world.
Isaiah 6:8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom will I send? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me!”

Faithful
Available
Teachable
Would you determine in your heart to be a F-A-T disciple? remember the fatter you become spiritually, the more God will be able to use you to make a difference in the world.

We all want to live the blessed life where we're free from sickness and disease, money in our pockets and all our debts are paid, but this is not living the blessed life.
The blessed life come from fearing and obeying God and delighting in Him. When we delight in Him, we live a life full of joy and peace. It starts by delighting in the Scripture.
Delighting in His Word is about living and thinking through the Gospel. If you have a hard time with this, ask God to give you a burning desire in your heart to seek more of Him and what He has for your life. Ask Him to change you. When we remove the wicked, we can fully experience delight in Him.
I decree and declare that from this day forward you shall live an extravagantly blessed life!

February is considered the love month, and Valentine's day is celebrated during that time. We take great pride in giving roses, candies, fancy cards and the list goes on. These things symbolize our affection, but does that really represent love?
When we think of love, we think of God's love (Agape) this is the highest type of love. It is God's immeasurable and incomparable love for mankind. His love transforms us, and then, it is our privilege and responsibility to share that love with others.
You are destined for transformation as you accept this profound love! I encourage you to be an intentional lover. It begins when you allow God's love for you to fill up the emptiness inside you. Allow God to invade your life with His love.

Prayer is important in the life of a believer. And there are many promises that should inspire us to lay hold of God and bring our requests to Him, then we will experience the joy that comes when we pray.
So, what do we gain by praying to God? Prayer aligns your will with God's will, He supplies our needs and fulfills our desires, He gives us inner peace, we are drawn closer to God and we have sweet fellowship with Him. So, if you are in need of a breakthrough then it's time to pray.
Luke 18:1 Men ought always to pray and not to faint.

Valleys are defining times in our lives, they are unavoidable, you cannot get around them. They are unpredictable and temporary. Valleys and Baskin Robbins are alike, they have 31 flavors.
So in order to thrive in the valley, you cannot dwell in the valley. You must walk thru the valley, going through implies an end of an event. It is not to be our dwelling place. Not a place for us to camp out, or take up residence.
Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

When we have an encounter with Jesus, He places a fire inside of us. Too often in our lives, our spiritual temperatures fluctuate. The fire of love for our Savior may never be fully extinguished, but the fire is at a low intensity and the embers are losing heat.
However, like the priests of old, it is the responsibility of the believers today to keep the fire of God's love burning and glowing. We can afford to lose a lot of things, but not our fiery passion for God.
We need to get on fire and stay on fire, we must keep it burning!
Leviticus 6:8-13

In a world that is filled with darkness, believers are to be the lights shining through the darkness to lead people not only to safety but to the arms of Jesus. Now more than ever, we are called to be lights to a world struggling against physical and spiritual forces like never before. Especially as we currently deal with issues involving our health, identities, finances, and government, our presence as lights for God is so important.
No light in our physical world is self-sustaining, and neither is ours. No matter the type of light—lamp, flame, solar-powered, even the sun itself—if lights get disconnected from their power source, they eventually lose charge, weaken, fade, and die or burn out. Likewise, we have to continuously recharge our connection by replenishing the oil in our lamps: God’s spirit.
(Matthew 5:16 ) If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine!
Jesus means everything to me! He is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me functioning each and every day. Without Him, I will be nothing.
He is my Redeemer, my Savior, my guide, my joy and He is my peace! He's everything that my soul ever longs for! Can you say the same thing today?
Everything around us is changing and the only person we can count on is Jesus. He never changes!
Hebrews 13: 8 (NLT)Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
You and I live in a world of access codes, security measures, digital barriers, and restricted use. We need ID cards to enter certain buildings, we need passwords to retrieve particular computer files, and we need PIN numbers to get money from our bank accounts. Access granted provides the ability to get some things done where previously you hadn’t been able to do so.
We have access to the Father because of the blood of Jesus. It wasn’t until Jesus died that we had access to the Father. We can go to Him at any time! We have been given full access granted to the things of God. It is there for us! We can go boldly to the throne of grace with reverence and with confidence. There is nothing keeping us from God right now. We can get as much of Him as we want. He’s our High Priest! He’s our Savior! He’s our EVERYTHING!
We are called by God to bear fruit: It is a command from God and it’s not optional.
John 15:16 – You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain.
There Are Consequences for being Unfruitful: Matthew 21:19 – Seeing a lone fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it except leaves only; and He said to it, “No longer shall there ever be any fruit from you.” And at once the fig tree withered.
This tree was simply fruitless. It wasn’t fulfilling its purpose as a fig tree, which was to produce figs. We need to be fruitful Christians! We need to examine the fruits of our lives. This will help us to determine if we’re fruitful or unfruitful and what we need to do to bear fruits.
This is the time of year where we stop and look back over the last 12 months. For some of us, it has been filled with many challenges and bittersweet memories. But in the middle of chaotic times and uncertain futures, we can still cling to our Lord.
This will be a good time to evaluate and examine your life. Are you fulfilled? which areas of your life need the most improvement. Is your thirst to know God greater today than it was this time last year? Are you govern more and more by God's word? How you answer these questions will tell you a lot about your spiritual direction.
So, go ahead and look back to thank God for His blessings and appreciate Him for all He has done for you!
People all around us are seeking the way to happiness. And many people are seeking happiness in materialism, some are seeking happiness in pleasure, some are seeking happiness in just a busy life, some are seeking happiness in their work, but what is the key to real, lasting happiness?
Psalm 1 offers us true, lasting happiness. The first words of the Psalms pull us in with the possibility of having this kind of life—a life that is blessed by God: "Blessed is the man…" This blessing means being supremely happy or fulfilled, a deep sense of well-being. This is not superficial happiness that comes and goes but a deep sense of joy that only God can gave.
This is the time of year when everyone starts getting ready for Christmas,
We become so busy celebrating the season that we totally miss the reason for the season! We become centered on shopping for the right gifts and forget to tell others of God’s perfect gift. We are not prepared for Christmas until our priorities are in line.
This year the wonder of Christmas can come alive for you in brand new ways if you will open your heart and allow God to prepare you for Christmas.
Are you ready for Christmas? I am not talking about decorations and shopping. I am talking about your hearts. You may be materially ready. You may have all the gifts bought. But are you spiritually ready? you better get ready because the time for getting ready is short. Make way for Christmas is coming!
Living in this world, we will encounter troubles and the only person who can help us or deliver us from trouble is Jesus. This study gives insight on what you must do to be an over comer.
Living in this world, we will encounter troubles and the only person who can help us or deliver us from trouble is Jesus. This study gives insight on what you must do to be an over comer.
And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10;41-42 (NKJV)
At this moment, there are endless things in competition for our attention, time and money. This can lead to confusion, worry and even anxiety. Are we Martha or Mary? Distraction causes irritation in our lives.
Why is this ”one thing” so absolutely necessary? The fact that Mary was sitting at the Savior’s feet indicates that she loved Him very much. Mary did not stand, she sat down at His feet, indicating that she was submissive to Him and recognized Him as her Lord and Sovereign. She subjected herself to His authority, truth and teaching. She sat in the place of humility. Sitting at Jesus’ feet and listening to His Word is the one thing necessary in life.
Do we believe that the only thing that is needed is to sit at Jesus’s feet? If we are not getting with Jesus and truly spending time with him it is because it’s not important to us. If it’s important to us we will make time for it.
"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” –James 4:8 (NKJV) As believers, we desire a closer relationship with the Lord. Drawing near to God involves coming close—just the way you wish to be with those you love.
If we want to draw near to God, then we must be surrendered to the Holy Spirit of God.
The Scripture above talks of drawing near to God, but few people actually know how to practically ‘draw near to God’. There is no better time to draw near to God than right now! The reward is that He, in turn, will draw near to you. There will be a closeness between you and God—a fellowship—a friendship. Nothing is more precious than friendship with Almighty God. Are you ready to experience the rewards of drawing near to God? this study will help you to understand why you must draw closer to Jesus.
Psalms 37:4 4 Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. (NIV)Taking delight in the Lord means that our hearts truly find peace and fulfillment in Him. Many delight in wealth, status, material possessions, and other temporary things of this world, but they are never satisfied. They never truly get what they want, hence the reason they are always wanting more.
This world can never satisfy our deepest longings, but if we choose to delight in God’s way, He will always provide above and beyond our expectations.
Jonah was a man sent on a mission to warn the people of Nineveh, and he decided to go the opposite way, but there arose a storm and he was sleeping in the bottom of the boat.
Jonah on board this ship is very symbolic of how we can allow things to get into our lives that don’t need to be there. It could be a sin, it could be harboring a bad feeling toward someone, it could be a wrong relationship, it could be allowing something in our lives that keeps us from moving forward with God.
Have you ever stopped to think about the other people on the boat who were about to lose their lives besides Jonah? In fact, they were in danger because of Jonah. You see, sometimes all it takes is one rebellious, disobedient person to take down a whole shipload of people.
There are times in life when you are not the problem; the problem may be the people you’re associating with.
Today, throw Jonah overboard. Don't allow him to continue sleeping in your boat, get him out of your life today, so you can have the peace of God in your life anew.
We all want to be successful in life and the only way this can take place is to recognize God for who He is in our lives.
You must desire Him and delight in His word. Believe the promises of His Word, and being obedient to what He has said. Continue to walk in His ways, and remember this is a walk of faith.
These are the keys to a happy and successful life as a Christian.
Joshua 1:8 (GW) Never stop reciting these teachings. You must think about them night and day so that you will faithfully do everything written in them. Only then will you prosper and succeed.
Prayer is very important in the life of a believer, and the bible commands us to pray without ceasing. So no matter what you're going through always remember to call on the name of the Lord and I guarantee that He will answer your call.
Prayer is very important in the life of a believer, and the bible commands us to pray without ceasing. So no matter what you're going through always remember to call on the name of the Lord and I guarantee that He will answer your call.
We are living in a time when we are hearing a lot about requirements. The CDC, the President and others says, we are require to wear a mask, require to social distance, and you are require to get a vaccine and the list goes on, but what does the Lord requires of us? To serve Him, Fear Him, Love Him and keep His commandments.
These are simple requirements, but they are hard to do. But through Christ we can do all things!
We all have giants, and just in case you're wondering what a giant really is. A giant is anything that distracts us from our focus on God. Some of the giants we faced are: unemployment, sexual abuse, alcohol, insecurity, broken relationship, discouragement, loneliness, worry, depression or bills we can’t pay.
So how do you defeat your giants? you must know your giant. Don't let the giants in your life stand between you and God. Don't try to face those giants in your life alone, but with God's strength.
In the midst of our ever-changing world, it is a real comfort to know that we have a never-changing God. For man, change is inevitable, for God , change is impossible.
He is changeless in His promise, Deuteronomy 7:9 and changeless in His love. Jeremiah 31:3
There is a shortage of laborers in the work place today, and it's also true for the body of Christ. The work is great but the laborers are few. We all want to feast at God's table, but few want to work in His field. There is a great urgency for harvesters, will you stand in the gap today?
The Lord is looking for laborers, will you sign up today? The fields are all ripe and ready to harvest, but no one seems to be available. Will you answer the call?
Life is filled with expectations. Do you wake up each morning with a happy anticipation that God is going to do something amazing in your life? Or do you find yourself bracing for the worst? When you have a relationship with Jesus you ought to expect something different every day of your life.
What are you expecting in life? There’s a good chance you’re going to get it. In other words, you often get whatever you expect out of life. Your words have power, use them to declare what you are expecting! Take the limit off and do not settle for mediocre expectation. Instead, raise your expectations!
Survival rates for breast cancer are very high when the cancer is detected early and where treatment is available. Early detection is the key. So go out and get tested today it can save your life.
We are all plugged into something, make sure you're plugged into the right power source; and that power source is none other than Jesus.
All of us at one time or another go through stress, but how you handle it makes all the difference in the world.
1 Peter 5:7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
Live one day at a time and you’ll conquer worry—handle the demands of each day as it comes with-out borrowing from yesterday or tomorrow.
Are you feeling sad of gloomy? The Bible teaches us that as Christians we should be joyful in everything. Philippians 4:4
Jesus wants His children to experience fullness of Joy.
Bethel means “the place where God dwells.
The way forward is to go back to your Bethel, where you made a vow to God. God is calling you to go back and fulfill your vows to him.
Have you made a mess of your life? Then go back to Bethel, to where you first met God. Build an altar and surrender your all to Him.
“Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!”Psalm 150:6
Do you have any idea how many times a day you and I breathe? 17,280
It’s ironic, though, that few of us spend any time at all thinking about our breathing. Our Creator has graciously arranged that breathing takes place automatically, whatever we happen to be doing — even when we’re sleeping! Most of us, in fact, are only conscious of our breathing when it doesn’t come so easy: after a hard workout at the gym, or if we’ve got some respiratory problem.
God wants our praise and gratitude to be as vital and habitual as the way we breathe. Don’t hold your breath! Freely breathe in the goodness of God, but when you breathe out, let it be a breathe of praise and thankfulness for all God has done and will do in our lives. So don't hold back your praise.
This is a world of burden -bearing. We all have to carry burdens. There is no respect of persons; the rich have their share as well as the poor, but God knows your load limit and it would be out of character for Him to burden you without supporting you with His strength and wisdom.
We will learn in this episode what we are to do with life's burdens.
(1) Cast them upon the Lord and
(2) Leave them with the Lord.
“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Psalms 55:22
