Hey Hey Hey, (that’s my impression of Yogi bear by the way!)

Anyway, this is your weekly edition to the Jackumentory Experience with me, The Original Street Yoot, MrHun! The night's show was inspired by a week of R+R and good weather and great company. I say great company because of the people that I truly felt honoured to have as a family of friends, of old and newly formed, that i had the plesure share it with.

I kicked of the show with a new lil number from Joshua IZ called "The Juice EP" which is a driving beatness and deep melody that is soon to be released on Bonanza. I then stepped into the new Clique Trax EP which features a collaboration between JT Donaldson and Uneaq, the EP is titled "We Got This" but the track that I felt is the strongest of the EP, and dropped, was track 2 titled "why not rock", something that I think brings classic sounds from 5years back with a newer grittier face! You need to check both to really feel them. I moved on a little into what I think is one of the best tracks for 2009; I played the new Bernard Jones release called "Thirst" which for me is right up there with LGC remix of Alexander East "Believe En Me" (Nordic Trax) which was my track for 2008!)) This new joint from Bernard, for me, is what it says on the tin, totally thirst quenchin’ bumpty house music! Amoungst all this great house music, I spun some joints from the new school kats Jangatha, Astropimp, Terence Dizko and Jack Jones, who in my mind, are all hot at the minute. All those kats tracks are courtesy of and are featured releasess on Midwest Hustle and Round House music.

After that I stepped on the gas and went in da’ mix “MrHun in'a Blend’a” style for the next hour or so playin’ a ream of hot funk’d up jackin’ disco fused beats from over the years, that has traditionally become a trade mark for the Jackumentory Experience Radio Show.

To round up the show, went down the classic music route playin Gemini's "Swimming Wit Sharks" and freeform5's "BreakMe"; both tracks for me illustrate what Classic Music as a label represented for house music because both are so different musically and yet up hold the free thinking groove that truly projects the “no boundaries” vibe of house music! If you are a connoisseur you may just get what I’m sayin’; however, if you are hearing these 2 tracks for the 1st time, just listen to either with an open ear and let it in what was shape what is now. I also played Daft Punks "Face2Face", taken from their "Homework” Album, this track was produced or basically remixed by Todd Edwards who for some people helped shape the fast driving 4x4 of house and garage of the mid to late 90's, a definite classic in my opinion and will always be a firm favourite in the Jackumentory archives.

I hope you all enjoy and to all those that listen weekly and download my shows, I can't thank you enough for your support. It’s all you guys that keep me motivated to keep doing what I do weekly.

Don't forget you can catch my show and others on www.chicagohousefm.com ... The station that is a house with open inviting doors and is warm inside that truly is one nation under a groooooooove!

Peace Unity and House

Hellllloooooooo!

Just want to thank all the lovely people that listen and have supported my show over the last 18months…. It’s been totally awesome to say the least and through it I have made so many good like minded friends.

My opening track was something of a blast from the past, a track titled Shout-N-Out by LooD featuring Donell Rush (MAW08). This mega tune will jog the memory banks of the heads that will know it from a time when house and garage was very unified on the dance floors. A Collaboration between Mood II Swings Lem Springsteen, Jon Ciafone & Masters at works Lil’Louie Vega for MAW records 8th release. The original on white label back in 96, and this baby still sounds as fresh today as it did back then and is sure to cause the exact same damage too, as from the moment the vocal kicks in to the moment the beats and bassline drops which was very much the sound that was coming out of New York at the time. Its one that just shows how these power houses of house, together, really shaped the underground for years to come with their unique music that, from the production itself of this track, is inspired from their roots of disco, funk and soul…. You’ll be left singing it!

2nd up I dropped another classic, one from Canadian label StickMan Records, C-Lime Woman TMP’s original mix. Along with Mood II Swings “The Slippery Track”, possibly one of the labels most notorious tracks, C-Lime is no exception to the groove. This version is just Beats and vocals, but its driving, and is a great track to lead the throttle either to take it there or somewhere over there or even just …. There… You know what I mean. The vocal is the driving force behind this track and many that have frequented the world’s dance floors will know it well as this track has been remixed by industry stalwarts Chris Simmonds, Nick Holder and also Farley and Heller, whose mix I think crosses the boundaries of the house genres effortlessly.

3rd in is a personal favourite of mine, Adventures in Dancing by Cosy Creatures on a lil’ label called Push and Pull. Released back in 1999, it follows an evident French House inspiration with deep beats that rolls through with that jesto funk slap style bass. Cosy Creatures, better known as Swirl people (Raoul Belmans & Dimitri Dewever), for me, really issued a big siren of sound terrorism with this one, as with other productions under this guise (and others), really showed they business and also showed where house music was at around that time, as more European producers (especially the French) where really raising the stakes in the scene.

Moving on from there I fell in the mix for the next hour chucking everything from Stacy Kid to Sneak to Mike Dunn to Lance Desardi In’a Blend’a to carry on the general vibe that I started with and also to pay homage to music that hasn’t by no means been forgotten but it just gets over looked a lil’ against today’s more favoured beats!

After the hour, as billed in my pre show bulletin, I played into my feature paying tribute to the French masters of house music.

In order, I played: -

Don’t Go Mad - Mr Clean & Karl the Voice - New Label Keep Me on Fire – Kojak – Crime in the City Grab my Hips – Sebastian Leger – Black Jack You Can’t Stop It – Kojak (Dj Spinna Mix – Pro-Zak Trax Mothership Reconnection – Scott Grooves (Daft Punk remix) – Musique Vol.1 Music Sounds Better – Star Dust (Bob Sinclar Mix) – Roulette Chord Melody – Ian Pooley (Daft Punk Remix) – Musique Vol.1 Art to Breathe – Kojak Feat Jemeni (De pompidou Flash Remix) – Pro-zak Trax Visions of Paradise – Bob Sinclar – Album Version Revolution 909 – Daft Punk – HomeWork Stupid Jack – Kojak (Troublemen Remix) – Pro-Zak Trax My Only Love – Bob Sinclar - Album Version

As I said in my show there was so much more that I wanted to play from these guys and others like Antoine Clamaran, DJ Falcon, Cerrone, Alan Brax, Fed Falke, Cassius, St Etienne, Laurent Garnier and Joachim Garraud…. And also ne
