This title is self explanatory! The Devil is a liar because GOD says he is... as a matter of fact the Apostle John gives his account in the eight chapter of John verse 42 Jesus is speaking to a group of Jews who were questioning His identity and authority. Jesus tells the Jews that their father is the devil, and its in your heart to carry out your father's desires! He (devil) was a killer from the beginning, ignoring the truth, for there's no truth in him. When he speaks, he lies, his native speech is lies, because he's the father of lies! As Jesus continue to expose their hypocrisy and their failure to recognize Him as the Son of God. Jesus challenges them to see the truth and turn away from the lies and deceit that connects them to the devil.

So let us be discerning when it comes to the devil (adversary) trying to deceive us into rejection, negativity, lack, sickness, jealousy, poor self-worth, poverty, negative attitudes, lack of faith etc. Rick Ross said it best in his song called "The Devil Is A Liar" to paraphrase the hook Ross said the "devil is liar bro I'm the truth. the devil is a liar. bro I'm the proof!" Know that the promises of GOD are yes and amen. 2 Corinthians 1:20!

Let me leave you with this I came across a reel on social media and it resonated significantly with me and encouraged me instantly! The song was sung by Gospel legend Lisa Page Brooks the words are simple... The devil is a liar.....Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah! The devil is a liar.... Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.... Victory is mine Yeeeeaaah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah yeah yeah Yeah!!

Stay Encouraged,
Kevin D. Bradley

00:01
you

00:25
Well, welcome to the new normal podcast, 2020 edition, where information and conversation leads to revelation. I am your host, Kevin D Bradley.

00:46
And you know what time it is, we are, I guess for the month of October, we still talking transparency.

00:59
What? You guessed it.

01:10
Surprise, surprise, surprise

01:15
Yes, we still talking transparency.

01:21
But we're gonna take a little twist with this for transparency. Check out the previous episodes. Transparency one, two, three, part one, two, three, and four to get caught up. So good information, some insight. Share some information. Some of the things that.

01:50
I have been going through and why I took a break for a while and I'm back and looking forward to a better and brighter future.

02:08
I will say this.

02:12
Hope the third makes the heart sick. Have you ever, full transparency?

02:23
As I...

02:26
put that stamp on this podcast. Full transparency moment. Have you ever been hoping for something to happen?

02:41
All your hope, all your faith, trust and confidence that it's going to come through, strong. You see improvement, you're making strides. And then all of a sudden, kablookup.

03:06
things don't turn out the way you had hoped for in your heart. And a lot of times when, for me personally, when your hope...

03:25
get sucked up out of you by life and just unreasonable circumstances, it can really weigh a toll on your inner man and your outer man. And a lot of times people who experience hope deferred

03:56
if not aware of what's happening.

04:02
can go into depression.

04:06
regression, regrets, even suicidal thoughts or

04:18
unhealthy tendencies. So

04:23
I want to talk about being transparent.

04:29
And you know the three categories, transparent, translucent, and opaque. When your hope, when you feel like your hope is gone.

04:51
One thing for certain.

04:56
that will never ever ever change is life. Life is gonna keep lifeing. What do you mean by that? Meaning that despite how you feel, despite of what's going on around you, what's going on that includes you.

05:25
Life is gonna keep on moving. People are gonna keep on living.

05:33
time will keep on ticking even when it feels like your world has stopped. Whether that news that made your world stop is it's finding out you have an uncurable disease or finding out that

06:00
someone who you connected to.

06:07
for all your life or most of your life has seemingly transitioned.

06:16
from life to life beyond Earth?

06:24
Maybe it's a divorce. Maybe it's

06:32
your children not

06:36
acting the way in which you raise them. Whatever it may be that calls the shift in your heart.

06:50
and the hope to be smothered or smoldered, when it happens, it's the worst gut-wretched feeling that an individual can experience.

07:17
In my rehab.

07:21
I was experiencing great strides and growth and all of a sudden something just popped out that slowed me down and really just every step I took.

07:46
for progression seemed like it was countered with another step backwards. Two steps backwards. One step forward, two steps backwards.

08:04
and

08:07
The lost or the... My hope.

08:13
started to dwindle and you come to a point where

00:01
you

00:25
Welcome to the new normal podcast 2020 edition where Information and conversation leads to revelation. I am your host Kevin D Bradley

00:47
Let's get into it.

00:51
Transparency Part 4

00:57
I left off talking about or explaining how

01:06
Families are harmed by the lack of transparency. Episode one, well, no, not episode one, but transparency part one, two, three. I talked about briefly situations that

01:37
happened to me, how I responded, and the process of my response and my healing. The reason why I took time off and I'm back. Baby, I'm back.

01:59
But more importantly,

02:05
It's...

02:08
I believe it's by design.

02:14
I have been chosen to endure certain hardships.

02:21
I think it's by design. I believe so.

02:27
One is because...

02:31
You know, God allowed.

02:35
too.

02:39
God.

02:42
would place the burden in my heart to share my experience and how I am overcoming.

02:54
and a healing, but also to expose.

03:01
The hurt, the pain.

03:06
the situation shed light or be transparent in this situation or in my situation.

03:20
Transparency verse translucent, being translucent, and verse opaque. So you have three categories to be transparent.

03:36
to allow all light, or most of the light in.

03:42
Translution allows some light.

03:49
opaque Allows no light

03:56
So you have these three categories in which I.

04:03
feel moved to speak on my situations and the family dynamic that I have experienced and why I, you know, and why I as a dad operate in being transparent with my children. And as they grow older.

04:32
more transparency will be warranted. Because after I'm gone.

04:42
They will be left to do what God has placed in their path. And it's important for me, the legacy I leave behind, that they are prepared as much as possible with information, with love, with support, with care, with insight and instruction. Now,

05:12
Him following that is a whole different subject because we have choices. We have choices, but for the most part, I'ma do all I can. It's in my heart to do all I can to raise my children the way God has ordained me and created me to be.

05:42
So let's talk about generational curses and the root identifying a crisis. Too often we experience, and let me speak about myself, that experience the...

06:03
the consequence of the lack of parenting from the previous generation. A lot of things I had to learn on the go.

On today's podcast I discuss a Safe Place and what it means in today's world.  So much is happening, so many changes, and with threats constantly surrounding our well being rather physically, mental, and certainly not least spiritually.  We must protect and create safe places for dialogue, safe place for confession, and most importantly a safe place for dwelling.  Tune in for the quote and scripture of the day also I share a song that blessed me during the preparing of episode 14. Happy Resurrection Day!  In this podcast episode I'll be discussing the popular phrase especially in the 90's  (W.W.J.D).  So much has happened in the last week from Cash App founder being murdered to 3 Democrats in the TN being expelled for peaceful protests and former US president being indicted and beyond.  I'm convinced we are living in the last of days which makes this question so pertinent... What Would Jesus Do?   Of course,  the scripture of the day and the quote of the day are intact. Plus I share a song that blesses me real good on this Resurrection Sunday!  Last but not least Happy Born Day Kristyn Darielle Bradley!!

Midnight Mania!! This episode drops at Midnight!  The quote of the day is "How can you pull down strongholds of Satan if you don't even have the strength to turn off your tv."- Leonard Ravenhill

Stronghold- A place that has been fortified so as to protect it against attack; a place where a particular cause or belief is strongly defended or upheld.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

2Co 10:4  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

2Co 10:5  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

2Co 10:6  And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

On today's podcast we continue the conversation from last week with another example of needed discretion when the pulpit is the platform.  The quotes of the day and scriptures of the day remains as last weeks with an emphasis on 2 Corinthians 4:4,5.  Also, added the word familiar and its definition.

  1. Carnal- pertaining to or characterized by the flesh or the body, its passion and appetites; not spiritual; merely human; a man of secular, rather carnal leanings.
  2. Enmity- a feeling or condition of hostility; hatred; ill will; animosity; antagonism.
  3. Familiar- well known from long or close association; in close friendship ; intimate.

Question- As leaders, teachers, preachers, evangelist, pastors, prophets have we become too familiar with God... too casual in our heart space regarding Him? Have we become abusers of His new mercies and new graces daily bestowed upon us?

In this episode I discuss events exposed via social media of how clergy are using there platform.  I presented two occasions where in my honest opinion the speaker should've used better restraint in the pulpit.  With our scripture of the day coming from Romans 8:6-8.  Also, quotes of the day coming from Paul Washer and Mahatma Gandhi.

  • Carnal- pertaining to or characterized by the flesh or the body, its passion and appetites; not spiritual; merely human; a man of secular, rather carnal leanings.
  • Enmity- a feeling or condition of hostility; hatred; ill will; animosity; antagonism.

On today's podcast I talk from the subject and title of the podcast Order In Your Court.

Q.O.T.D- The world is going to do the world, but as believers we must do Christ!-Kevin D. Bradley

S.O.T.D-
4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

6 Though he was God,[a]
he did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to.

7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges[b];
he took the humble position of a slave[c]
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,[d]

8 he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

Points

  • Don't be selfish, be selfless.
  • Be the example not the sample.
  • Sacrifice is for the strong.
  • Privileges is for the proven.

On today's podcast I discuss forgive and forget; I start off by defining the two words.
Forgive is defined as stopping feelings of anger or resentment toward someone for (an offense, a flaw, or a mistake).
Forget is defined as to fail to remember, to inadvertently neglect to do, bring, or mention something, or to put out of one's mind; cease to think of or consider.
Q.O.T.D- To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that prisoner was you. -Lewis B. Smedes-

S.O.T.D- Matthew 6:14-15 (CEB)
If you forgive others their sins, your heavenly father, will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive others, neither will your father forgive your sins.

Happy Father's Day Weekend!! Today I shared my perspective on the Qualities of a Good Father and some of my favorite Father's Day quotes.

The S.O.T.D comes from **Genesis 18:19 (CEB) I have formed a relationship with him so that he will instruct his children and his household after him. And they will keep to the LORD’s path, being moral and just so that the LORD can do for Abraham everything he said he would.”

In today's episode I talk about the need for God's love in our world on today.  Our quote of the day states: True Love does not come by finding the perfect person, true love comes by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly -author unknown.  Our scripture of the day comes from 1 Peter 4:8 (AMP)  Above all have fervent and unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins( it overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others).

I Corinthians 13:4-8a
Love is patient, love is kind, it isn’t jealous, it doesn’t brag, it isn’t arrogant, 5 it isn’t rude, it doesn’t seek its own advantage, it isn’t irritable, it doesn’t keep a record of complaints, 6 it isn’t happy with injustice, but it is happy with the truth. 7 Love puts up with all things, trusts in all things, hopes for all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails.
