The Future of Internal Communication: Recent Episodes

Institute of Internal Communications

The Institute of Internal Communication is the UK’s only independent professional membership body solely dedicated to internal communication.

Internal communication has been the glue that’s held organisations together since the onset of the 2020 pandemic outbreak, the enforced pivot to remote working, and prolonged furlough.

Welcome to our podcast series, The Future of Internal Communication.

Hosted by the IoIC’s CEO, Jennifer Sproul, leadership communication expert, Dominic Walters, and future of work expert Cathryn Barnard, each episode looks at how work is changing and what this means for the internal communication community.

The series explores the impact of COVID-19 on organisations and how the pandemic has accelerated the future of work. It examines the human side of work and focuses on the role of communication as a critical component of building connection and belonging – essential when colleagues and teams are increasingly distributed.

Most importantly, this podcast dives into the likely evolution of the internal communication function, and the opportunity for the profession as a whole.
