Mental health is such a HUGE issue today and we HAVE to fight to save these precious lives from the darkness that convinces them to hate themselves and end it all to calm the waters. This one's a bit heavy, but our loved ones are worth it! Let's engage and FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT for them!
What does God want you to know about Him? Why did God create? Creation, the Bible, Jesus, the Church... All revealing who God is. This is just a very basic introduction to get you thinking about WHO God is and WHAT God wants you to know about Him as He has revealed Himself.

John Chapter 1, the Love of GOD, the mercy and grace of God. God is FOR you not against you...yet. The responsibility of mankind and the believer. Children of God have this ONE job.
Shannon Hurley from Uganda was here this week. I share a few takeaways from that. One last quick touch on the subject of the source of evil. It's not a thing, it's not passive, and it HAS a point! The goodness of God.
If God is good and created all things good, where did sin and evil come from? It's not as hard of a problem as you might think. Let's go back and think about what God is like and see if we can come up with an answer to who created sin and evil.
Philippians 2:10-11 we see Christ glorified by God and it just hits me that Jesus is SO much more than a good teacher/prophet/etc. He is the KING of kings and LORD of lords and above all things! HE is the hinge that the whole universe hangs on!
Just this one adjustment to your perspective will change your life SO dramatically and eternally!

In light of Chapter 3 teaching us how to battle sin, our failures can easily cause us to feel beat up and possibly even doubt that God has or would save a sinner like me. That's why the Assurance of Forgiveness is so crucial in the process of sanctification! We must rest in the promises of God as we confess our sins. By the way, what is confession, and how are we to confess our sins? We will cover that in this chapter.
Can you have victory over sin? Yes! In this chapter, we talk about how God's word the Bible says we can have victory over sin and why we should want to!

Our Church service today with Pastor Bart was SO good! He preached Colossians 3:9-11. It moves me along in my recent thoughts about Temptation vs Indwelling Sin, Sanctification and it's hows and whys.
We might lack victory over sin because we have a wrong view of what temptation is and what it ISN'T!
In ALL things God is glorifying Himself. He is creating worshipers. The overflow of the Christian life is calling others to come and worship Him. Let's talk about it.

A little plug for a GREAT book that has just slayed me! "Loving Your Wife as Christ Loves the Church" by Larry E. McCall with a foreword by Tedd Tripp. This episode is for the man who knows he falls short of the man he should be for his wife and kids. Men in the church, we can do better. Men outside of the church, there IS something better. We BOTH can BE and DO better... but only in Christ. Let me 'splain.
Temptation vs tests vs trials. "Lead us not into TEMPTATION but deliver us from the evil one" Do you think the word "temptation" means an inward struggle with sin? In that case, did Jesus have an inward struggle with sin? Hebrews 4:15 says He was "tempted" in all ways as we are yet without sin. Is this about an inward struggle with sin? Let me try to help clear this up for you. It will help us and it will glorify Jesus.
Kansan's vote to allow abortion. Christians may be tempted to be disheartened, but remember this.

A Gallop poll revealed 80% of adult Americans say they are going to heaven when they die while belief in God and the Bible are on the decline. So let's dive into this a little bit and look at "The Glory of Heaven" by John MacArthur briefly.
