God knows the thoughts and intents of our hearts. So if you are trying your best to do good things, God will know it, even if no one else does.
I have always been taught that I was to be like the Good Samaritan…but what if it were a symbol of Christ instead?
We read that in the scriptures how God does impossible things all the time. It makes sense to believe that God did those things…back then. But what about now? Do you believe God can do impossible things in your life today?
Mosiah 18 is a great chapter to review your baptismal covenants. What does it look like to you to bear each other burdens and mourn with those that mourn?
In the scriptures, it seems obvious that you would want to follow God and keep his commandments.

Sometimes, the harder thing to accomplish is remembering God, who He is, what He is, and His commandments.
God’s word is nourishment for our souls. If we accept it, we become good fruit. If we reject it, we become bad fruit.
Christ is part God and part human. When he suffered in the garden, he showed us how being human is not wrong or bad, and how we can pair that with courage and humility.
We all go through rough times. The scriptures remind us that we don’t have to go through it alone.
Jacob is awesome, and Jesus is awesome…what more can be said? Sometimes the blessing we seek are only a prayer away

The gospel needs to be in your heart as well as your head. You need to feel it, believe it, not just know it. So, do you feel it yet?
2 Nephi 31 talks all about the doctrine of Christ and the importance of baptism. But if you are already baptized, what can you learn from this chapter?

Alma talks about how everything God does is for our benefit, even if it doesn’t feel like it. But God will give us another chance every day that we are alive.
Sometimes the gospel is thought to be more complicated than it actually is. Nephi, with his good old plainness of speech, reminds us what everything is really about.

Alma starts a brand new season! We dive right into the middle of the scriptures from both the Book of Mormon and the Bible discussing God’s character, and boy! Is it better than anyone can imagine!
Instead of continuing with the book of Ether, Alma shares a scripture that gives her comfort during difficult times and shares how having a perspective of the big picture can help us carry the burdens of today.
Ether 6: we continue our story of the Jaredites! Now that the have light, they are ready to cross the ocean, but this won’t be easy. In fact, it may be the roughest part yet.
In Ether 3, the brother of Jared brought a bunch of rocks to God as a solution. Often time our efforts can feel like rocks, and can even wonder if He will accept them.
There will be times in our life that we go through a “wilderness where no one has been before,” and God seems to be in a cloud. How do we make it through those times?
With COVID-19, and all the chaos that has brought this past year and a half, it may seem easy to wonder if God still even cares about us. Helaman 5:22-7:6 It can sometimes be really annoying to have someone repeat the same things over and over again. But for God, he repeats things because it gives us another chance to learn.
Helaman 3:11-5:21 When the Nephites keep the commandments, they prosper. But when they become prideful, they begin to be destroyed. The only thing that can save them, and us, from eminent destruction is Jesus Christ.
Alma 60:33-62:52 Instead of getting offended by Moroni’s letter, Paharon joins in the captian’s cause of freedom and tells Moroni to stand fast in the liberty God has given them.
Alma 58:9-60:32 Sometimes we feel weak and think that we can’t fight anymore battles against sin because otherwise we will break. But God helps those who help themselves, trust in Him, and take action.
Alma 56:13-58:8 War is a scary thing, and yet very young and inexperienced boys faced their trials with faith. How can we do the same?
Alma 53:8-56:12 Sometimes it seems that keeping the commandments doesn’t make sense. However, when we strive to be exact in our obedience, God will preform miracles in our lives.
Alma 51:9-53:7 The battles of the Nephities and the Lamanites can be a metaphor for the battle we have against Satan in our minds.
Alma 49:7-51:8 We will often face diffuse and overwhelming times. What can you do to hold on to faith?
Alma 46:33-49:6 Amalickiah escapes to the Lamanites and by intrigue and deceit becomes king. Satan likewise uses sexier and intrigue to trick us into sin and spiritual death. But our faith in Christ can save us.
Alma 44:9-46:32 We can’t avoid being influenced and influencing others. So what kind of influence are you?
Alma 42:23-44:8 Everyday is a spiritual battle of good versus evil. Why do you fight against evil and Satan everyday? And how can you protect yourself from their attacks?
Alma 39:15-42:22 Alma explains the spirit world to his son, and also tries to help him understand that there are eternal consequences to our choices. If we desire evil people on earth, we will receive evil after life. But if we desire good on earth, we will receive good after life.
Alma 37:9-39:14 Alma the Younger counsels his sons. He talks about how the Liahona is a type of Christ, and if we give heed to the words of Christ, they can guide us to spiritually fertile areas just like how the Liahona guided Lehi and his family through the most fertile parts of the wilderness.
Alma 34:28-37:8 God has given us a certain amount of time to live on earth, and we don’t know when that time is up. So if you lived everyday like it was your last, how would you live it?
Alma 32:13-34:27 Alma explains how we can develop faith in our lives so that we can experience God’s love, mercy and power!
Alma 30:33-32:12 God supports His children and protects them against evil. Satan doesn’t care about anyone except himself. So when Alma prays to God for help, God listened and answered His prayer.
Alma 27:18-30:32 The people of Ammon have no fear of death because of their faith. But there are many who die without knowing about Christ.
Alma 25:1-27:17 God fulfills His word in every particular. He does not forget us and is always aware of our situations.

Alma 22:18-24:30 The lamanites that were converted to the gospel were willing to die for the gospel. What does that mean to you?
Alma 19:31-22:18 King Lamoni’s father is willing to give up everything to know God, including his entire kingdom. But all God really wants us to give up is sin. What are you willing to sacrifice so that you can come to know God?
Alma 17:36-19:30 Ammon has no fear because he has faith in God’s promises. God will keep His promises always. He kept them towards His servants, like Ammon, and towards the Lamanites.
Alma 15:4-17:35 Faith can have amazing power in our lives, just like it did for Zeezrom and Ammon. When we have faith, there is no room for fear!
Alma 13:1-15:3 Whether it’s a single line or a whole story, we can find power, comfort, healing, peace, or whatever else we need in the Book of Mormon. It doesn’t even have to make sense! God is a god of miracles and He can use the scriptures to speak to our hearts in ways we never expected.
Alma 11:5-12:37 God never takes us from a good place and put us somewhere worse. He takes us from a good place and puts us in a better place. Sometimes, that just means we become better for it.
Alma 9:1-11:4 Alma and Amulek go to preach to a tough crowd, and it’s not an easy message to deliver. However, the Lord doesn’t leave them to deliver it alone.
Alma 5:61-8:32 God knows exactly how we feel and what we need. His Son performed the Atonment and therefore can comfort, strengthen, and cleanse us. But He also cares about our daily needs, and is working out the details.
Alma 4:16-5:60 Alma has a talent with words. And that is evident in chapter 5. Those words still have power to change hearts today! Will it change yours?
Alma 2:1-4:15 After years of peace, a civil war erupts because someone wants to be king. The Nephities beat them and the Lamanities in battle due to their faith in the power of God. Satan is trying to continue a war for souls he started before the world was, but those who have faith in God will be the ones who come off conqueror.
Mosiah 29:14-Alma 1:33 There is so much power in the word of God! It can help us to not be deceived by the devil’s lies, no matter how cunning and subtle they may be. Sometimes we may mess up. The good news is that as long as we trust God, He will extend mercy to us.
Mosiah 27:1-29:13 Alma the Younger was the most wicked sinner. But God loved him so much he sent an angel that prompted Alma to repent and change. Through Christ’s power, Alma was able to change. That’s because God cares more about what we do now, and not what we did yesterday.
Mosiah 23:39-26:39 Adversity is a gift because without trials, we would have an opportunity to exercise our faith. There will be times we fail, however, the Lird has said He will forgive us every time we repent sincerely.
Mosiah 21:1-23:38 Sometimes Bad times are consequences to our sinful behaviors. Other times bad things happen even when we’re doing everything right. Does that mean God doesn’t care? Or is there a greater purpose?
Mosiah 18:3-20:26 Alma repents and helps other people to make covenants to God. Many of us maybe very familiar with that covenant, but do we really fully understand it?
Mosiah 14:5-18:2 Ever wondered why Abinadi is so bold and fearless? It’s because he knows that through Christ he is free, regardless of any physical chains that may bind him! We too can find that kind of freedom through Christ.
Mosiah 11:18-14:4 King Noah and his people become very wicked and they lost knowledge and understanding about Christ and the commandments. Abinadi comes in to remind them, but they are not happy about it. Abinadi doesn’t back down and teaches the teachers what they should have already known.
Mosiah 8:4-11:17 It can be easy to zone out once you start reading about the battles between the Nephities and the Lamanities. They do it all the time and it seems that there is nothing relevant to us in our day that we can learn from someone else’s war. But it is relevant because we our in a spiritual war all day every day!
Mosiah 4:25-8:3 How seriously do we understand and treat our covenants? Is it something sacred we hold dear, or do those words mean nothing to us? Whatever choice we make will bring consequences, whether good or bad.
Mosiah 2:38-4:24 King Benjamin continues his address to the people. The people immediately apply what they were taught and are immediately blessed. The same can happen for you!
Mosiah 1:1-2:37 King Benjamin takes the promises and commandments of the Lord seriously, and he wants to help his sons and his people to feel the same way.
Jarom 1:4-Word of Mormon 1:18 If God said that we will prosper if we keep the commandments, than how come we doubt that sometimes? What God says is going to happen is going to happen, though it will take a lot of work from us too.
Jacob 6:6-Jarom 1:3 Bad fruit is produced when we rejected God’s word. And those that produce bad fruit will be cast down, like with Sherem. But those who put their faith in God, like Jacob, will receive power to crush Satan and his allies.
Jacob 5:15-6:6 Jacob’s telling of the allegory of the olive tree is a prophecy of the House of Israel. But what if it could be a parable for each of us as individuals and how we can live our lives?
Jacob 2:20-5:14 Everyone is precious in God’s eyes. The vilest of sinners is lived by God just the same as the purest of Saints. If God lives us all equally, than mustn’t we also love all equally? 2 Nephi 32:1-Jacob 2:19 The words of Christ tell us everything that we need to do. And sometimes, it’s very clear and blunt. And that can hurt. But even the chastenings of the Lord are acts of mercy.

2 Nephi 20:11-24:32 Isaiah uses Israel’s situation back in the day as an example of what will happen at the Second Coming. And from what he wrote, it sounds like the Lord is going to win every time. So who’s side are you on?
2 Nephi 15:13-20:11 Isaiah can be tough. Even for me. This episode was challenging to record because I was worried that I didn’t understand it enough to actually share anything. But the Lord opened my mind and we learn about the best thing ever: God’s love for us.
2 Nephi 10:12-15:13 When Isaiah writes, it always sounds like God is angry and punishes His people. Yet Nephi says that Isaiah helps him to see how merciful God is. How can that be?
2 Nephi 9:8-10:11 Jacob continues to teach about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and about being spiritually minded. What does that mean? And how come some people fall away from the church?
2 Nephi 5:25-9:7 Jacob begins to teach the Nephities, and starts with Isaiah. Though the scriptures maybe hard to understand at first, as we dive deeper, their meaning begins to travel itself to us. And we find the greatest treasure of all: God’s love and mercy, Jesus Christ.
2 Nephi 3:12-5:24 The Lord has promised to bring the House of Israel out of darkness, and He is doing that with the Book of Mormon. 1 Nephi 17:6-18:17 After Lehi’s family arrives at the beach, Nephi starts to build a boat as the Lord instructs him. His brothers doubt his ability, and Nephi tries to build their faith by telling them about Moses. Instead they want to kill Nephi! Are these wicked brothers just extreme, or are they holding up a very uncomfortable mirror to our natural man?
