Hey Family!
We are back and excited to share a new spiritual vitamin with you from Rev. Dave.
As we navigate the choppy waters of life, remember to keep in mind that it's what we let into our hearts that can tear us down and change who we are.
Keep God first and navigating the waters can become easier and the light that is Christ Jesus can lead you to a sense of peace like no other.
Hey Family,
Welcome back.
Today we continue with part two of Rev. Dave's sermon on What's Love Got To Do With It?In part two, Rev. Dave helps us distinguish between real, unwavering, unconditional, and restorative love and everything else. We all have used the word to refer to something we really just like or are interested in, and many of us have said it to people and didn't mean it. Regardless of how we have used it in the past, after this episode, we all should have a greater understanding. And with a greater understanding, comes a greater capacity to love and be loved.
We are back!
Today's episode is part one of a three-part sermon series from Rev. Dave, where he asks us to reflect on What's Love Got To Do With It?.Love is essential to human flourishing and development, yet far too often we have warped and distorted interactions with people who say they love us, but nothing could be further from the truth. Open your hearts and minds as we listen to Rev. Dave share God's word and illuminate what Love reallyis and show us what love has to do with our walk with Christ.
Hey Family!
We are back with more encouragement from Rev. Dave. These are violent and uncertain times, but that doe not mean we can give up hope or allow fear to overcome us. There have been dark times before this and we survived that as well.
Enjoy these few minutes with Rev. Dave and let his words remind you that God is still in control
Hey family!
This week, let's... REFOCUS. When things get tough, when you think things have gotten out of control remember that if we focus on God, there is nothing we can't do. Even walk on water.
Hey Family,
Here is a short note from Rev. Dave to give you a word of encouragement and help keep you focused.
Remember: God is STILL in control
Hey Family! Happy New Year, we hoped you enjoyed time with loved ones-- safely of course.
Rev. Dave is back with an encouraging message. One that we all need to hear, especially as we set new goals or try some older goals anew.
Ignore the fear. Embrace Christ. Live Boldly
Hey Family! We took a small break but are back with the final installment of the sermon series from Rev. Dave. We hope that over the course of this sermon series you have grown to embrace God's Word and the gift that is Christ.
Remember: Seek God, Speak Life, and Live Boldly.
Hey Family!
This week we pick up from the last episode in Rev. Dave's sermon on "Speaking Life". Here in part two, Rev. Dave continues to encourage us to lean on the word of God in challenging situations and take heart in the words from scripture. Are you speaking life over your situations? Are you listening to God or following trends that bring you no substance and more grief?
We are back!
Hey Family! We took a small break, but we have returned with a sermon series from Rev. Dave that we believe will encourage you this day.
Over the next three weeks, we will listen as Rev. Dave delivers a powerful sermon on the power that our words wield in our daily lives. Join in and listen as Rev Dave encourages us to live boldly and walk humbly as believers, knowing that the very words we speak have the power to change our lives and the lives of those around us.
Hey Family!
We are back with our first full episode of Spiritual Vitamins! This week Rev. Dave invites us to reflect on trusting the process. Listen as Rev. Dave helps us see that though we might want something to happen now, God has a timing for everything. Trust in God, trust in God's promises, and trust that your prayers are being answered.
Hey Spiritual Vitamins Family!
We are back after our short summer break and ready to start season TWO of Spiritual Vitamins with Rev. Dave!
We are coming back with a short, but this season will be full of new content and great insight from Rev. Dave.
Hey Family,
Join us this week as Rev. Dave helps us "see". Sometimes our rush to judgement is really a reflection of our own issues and baggage. Regardless of what is leading us to be harsh or judgemental with those around us, God calls us to kindness and patience. Sometimes if we are honest with ourselves and give our burdens over to God, we can begin to see clearly and better serve our neighbours. All it takes is cleaning the lens.
Hey Family!
Join us this week as Rev. Dave helps us navigate how to conquer fear. Rev. Dave tells us how Satan would rather us focus on all the illusions that make us afraid and vulnerable than to believe in the promises of God that have sustained us and many others for generations. Reflect with us and make conquering your fears the prayer of the week.
Focus Verse: Exodus 14: 10-13
Hey Family, We took a few weeks off, but we are BACK! Join Rev. Dave for the second half of season one of our Spiritual Vitamins Podcast.
This week Rev. Dave returns with a meditation on how hate destroys us from the inside out. Hate, revenge, spite, and other negative feelings do not promote the healthy and balanced life in Christ that we seek to live out. Are you holding on to something that is years or decades old? Are you harboring feelings that have made you a bitter or unpleasant person to be around? Let those things go and pick up life in Christ.
Focus Verse:
1 John 4:20
On this episode of Spiritual Vitamins, Rev. Dave shares his reflections on pulpits of possibility. Though it is hard, we can begin to share the word of God wherever we are. It doesn't have to be a Sunday morning or Wednesday Bible study, you can start to share the life-transforming power of a relationship with God through Jesus Christ right now, right where you are.
Your life and the way you live it is all you need to be a messenger and deliver the message: God is here for all.
Focus Verse:
2 Timothy 1:7
Philippians 4:13
Hey NFJF Family!
Prayer is such a necessary part of having a full and transformational relationship with God. In this week's episode of Spiritual Vitamins, Rev. Dave shares with us why prayer is so essential and how easy it is to begin. Your location doesn't matter and neither does your word choice. What is important is beginning to seek God through prayer daily and allowing God to direct your path.
Join Rev. Dave as he helps us with gaining clarity and consistency in our prayer life.
Remember: God is still in control.
Focus Verses:
1 Thessalonians 5: 15-18
Hi Everyone!
Join Rev. Dave this week as he invites us to reflect on what can happen when we truly follow God and the possibilities that we can walk into through God's power.
Some doors are meant to be closed and others can be opened for us if we continue to seek God out for guidance and discernment. Focusing on what God has called into being for us allows us to avoid the trap of staying where we aren't meant to be, and moving towards the great things God has in store for us.
God Bless and remember: God is still in control!
Verses to focus on in this Episode:
Psalms 37:4
Revelations 3:7
In this week's episode, Rev. Dave walks us through the difference between support and dependency. In our life, there are relationships that we place a high value on and look to for encouragement. The Bible tells us to "not lean on our own understanding..." but to trust God for direction and guidance in our lives. So while we reflect this week on the relationships we have and how we relate to those people we should ask ourselves this:
Are we listening to the voice of God in our hearts? Or are we beholden to the approval and advice of someone else?
Thanks for listening!
God Bless You and remember this, God, is still in Control!
Focus Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6
Salvation Verse: Romans 10:9-13
Welcome Back! This week join Rev. Dave as he invites us to reflect on judgement. To look at a person actions or life and make a judgement is quite easy (admit we do it all the time). Yet, what God calls us to do is to evaluate ourselves. Looking in the mirror, thinking back on what we have been through and done BEFORE we open our mouths (or even judge in our heads) gives us perspective. The person before needs compassion and understanding, not judgement and condemnation.
So, as we go through our day let us lead with compassion, understanding, and grace or just do as scripture says: Watch out for those planks!
God Bless!
Focus Verse: Matthew 7: 1-5 (King James Version)
Hey! Join Rev. Dave this week as he invites us to meditate on throwing pearls before swine. All of us-- at one point or another-- shared with someone something precious. Whether it be our space, our resources, or our time.
Rev. Dave reminds us that though we are invited to give and give freely, it doesn't mean we are to accept abuse or mistreatment. God reminds us that what we have is precious, no matter the amount. And sharing should be done in an environment that is affirming and fulfilling.
Focus Verse:
Matthew 7:6 (King James Version)
Hey Everyone! Join Rev. Dave this week as he reflects on self-worth. We all have heard comments about us that are demeaning, cruel, and often wrong. Yet, scripture tells us that we are "fearfully and wonderfully made;" and "...even the very hairs on your head are numbered." We invite you to sit and reflect with us, as Rev. Dave reminds us of how God sees us--instead of how the world decides to label us.
Thanks for joining!
This Week's Verses (King James Version):
Psalm 139: 13-16
Matthew 10: 30-31
Join Rev. Dave for a few moments as we reflect on the what is possible when we give our problems to God. Sometimes we can lose focus in the middle of a trying week or when facing large, unforeseen obstacle on our path.
Rev. Dave suggests giving over these stresses in order to receive. Lets give him a listen and give it a try.
Focus Verse: Isaiah 26: 3-4 King James Version (KJV)
