Today's episode is a chat with Brother Michael Cevering (IG: @redwood_theologian,) in which we discuss having a personal relationship with God. Brother Cevering has some really beautiful insights for us!
The Tuesday Morning Principle is the idea that the Gospel of Jesus Christ should be practiced on a daily, average, ordinary-life basis, as well as tips on how to do that.
Here are some of the questions I pose in my interview:
Tell us a little about you and your studies.
-what do you think are the Lord’s most defining characteristics?
-I think a lot of people have trouble reconciling the idea of a loving God with the idea of a lawful God. How do you make these two ideals jive?
-We know that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. What does that mean, to you, for us today?
-how do you think we can best develop a personal relationship with God on a Tuesday morning?
-why do we want a personal relationship with God?
-would you like to leave us with your testimony today?
Tune in for some wonderful thoughts!

Today's episode is a chat with Brother Peter-BrandonChristensen, in which we discuss loving and including our spiritual siblings who are part of the Queer community. I know this is a sensitive issue, and some people have a hard time even thinking about it because of that. However, I would invite you to listen to Brother Christensen's beautiful thoughts and testimony with an open heart and mind.

Hi, I'm Brynne B. Nelson, the host of The Tuesday Morning Principle Podcast. Our guest today is Sister Alyssa Brimhall, who is a Millennial with some beautiful thoughts for us. We are talking about social media and the Gospel!
I have a book (The Tuesday Morning Principle: a Millennial's Guide to Daily Gospel Living) out on Amazon; the link is here:

The Tuesday Morning Principle is the idea that the Gospel of Jesus Christ should be practiced on a daily, average, ordinary-life basis, as well as tips on how to do that.
Here's an overview of some of the questions we ask Sister Brimhall:
In Alma, we are instructed to “counsel with the Lord in all [our] doings.” What does that mean on a practical, day-to-day basis?
We know that we are supposed to have a prayer in our hearts always. How do you, personally, cultivate a prayerful attitude?
What blessings do you think come from prayer?
You are a mother to young children. What fundamentals do you consider most important to teach them about prayer?
Is there anything you would counsel against when it comes to prayer?
Do you have any personal experiences with prayer that you would like to share?
Would you like to leave us with your testimony today?

Hi, I'm Brynne B. Nelson, the host of The Tuesday Morning Principle Podcast. Our guest today is Sister Jenasa Staples, who is a Millennial and a Christian (though of a different denomination) with some beautiful thoughts for us. We are talking about inter-faith relations!

Here's an overview of some of the questions we ask Jenasa:
One of our prophets, President Hinkley, once said: “We say to the people, in effect, you bring with you all the good that you have, and then let us see if we can add to it...” What are your thoughts on that?
While of course there are points of doctrinal nitty-gritty that people can argue about, what do you think are good fundamentals that all Christians—or, better yet, all people—can agree on?
Do you think inter-faith friendships are important to have? If yes, why?
There are plenty of misconceptions about Christianity. Is there anything you’d like to clear up for the listeners?
How can listeners find you?
Do you have any personal experiences or thoughts with inter faith relations that you would like to share?

Hi, I'm Brynne B. Nelson, the host of The Tuesday Morning Principle Podcast. Our guest today is Brother Stuart Edge, who is a Millennial with some beautiful thoughts for us. We are talking about social media and the Gospel!
I have a book (The Tuesday Morning Principle: a Millennial's Guide to Daily Gospel Living) out on Amazon; the link is here:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08TX15J3R/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=the+tuesday+morning+principle&qid=1611604440&sr=8-1
The Tuesday Morning Principle is the idea that the Gospel of Jesus Christ should be practiced on a daily, average, ordinary-life basis, as well as tips on how to do that.
Here's an overview of some of the questions we ask Brother Edge:
You are kind of a big time Internet star, and a lot of that is done through social media. Would you like to talk about that?
In my book, I talk about how it’s important to be consistent in balancing your social media and your life—how you can’t really be virtuous in one and not in the other. What are your thoughts on that?
What we’re really talking about here is integrity, which the Doctrine and Covenants—and other sources—mention as being a quality that brings us blessings. Why do you think that the Lord values integrity?
In my opinion, one of the best things about social media is the way we can share the Gospel through it. Do you have opinions on how that should or should not be done?
I’m sure there are times when people online treat you badly, especially because of your religious convictions. How do you respond to that?
How can my listeners find you online?

Here's an overview of some of the questions we ask Sister Price:
We are talking about respecting all children of God. Why do you think that is important to do?
What does respecting people mean in terms of the Gospel? What about respecting yourself specifically?
Children are people too, and certainly a group that the Savior particularly loves. How do we show them the respect they deserve?
You work in healthcare. How does that influence your view of people?
In His Earth life, the Savior taught love for all, but He has never been tolerant of sin. How do we live according to His Gospel in this way?
What principles of the Gospel are most important to include in our lives to help us respect people?
Do you have any specific memories or personal experiences on this topic you’d like to share?

2.How does acting vs being acted upon apply to us as spiritual beings in physical bodies?
-how does acting apply to personal growth, particularly as we look in hindsight?

What do you think is required to receive miracles or tender mercies?
Do you think our perception of tender mercies has any influence on our daily life?
We know that there is nothing good that the Lord can’t do. Why, then, do you think we sometimes receive an answer of “no”?

Because we are talking about kindness and charity today, I want to begin by asking you why, in your opinion, we are supposed to be kind.
Does kindness and charity only extend to other humans?
You’re currently in a time of life where it’s very hard just to be human. High school, even for those who enjoy it, can easily be made miserable if someone is unkind to you. How do you choose to be kind on the daily?
What are some ways that you recommend for dealing with those who choose to be unkind?
Do you have any tips or tricks to kindness and charity that you want to recommend?
The Savior loves us all perfectly, but still sometimes has to rebuke us or tell us no. Is He unkind?

1a) How?
Sam, how would you say that having mental health issues fits in to the Plan of Happiness?
Do you have any favorite quotes about mental health from Gospel sources?
What personal experiences, if any, would you feel comfortable sharing with our audience today? How can those experiences speak to encourage our listeners?
Of course the point of this podcast is to provide practical, sensible, daily advice on living the Gospel. What such advice would you give to those struggling with mental illness, or to those who love and support the sufferers?

Hi, I'm Brynne B. Nelson, and this is the Tuesday Morning Principle Podcast. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My intention is to inspire and uplift with a variety of Gospel topics.
I have a book (The Tuesday Morning Principle: a Millennial's Guide to Daily Gospel Living) coming out on Amazon very soon. Keep a lookout for it, and I'll add a link as soon as I can!
The Tuesday Morning Principle is the idea that the Gospel of Jesus Christ should be practiced on a daily, average, ordinary-life basis, as well as tips on how to do that.
Some questions and answers:
You know, I’ve been asking myself this question for years. I could cite a lifetime in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints, or my education at BYU, or my righteous parents as reasons. But the truth is, I don’t think that those things “qualify” me, as such, to teach something as important and beautiful and complex as the Gospel. Instead, I offer you this—in Doctrine and Covenants 88:77, the Savior instructs His people, “And I give unto you a commandment that you shall teach one another the doctrine of the kingdom.” In 1 Nephi 19:23, the prophet Nephi refers to the importance of “likening” the scriptures unto ourselves. In the spirit of Nephi’s wisdom, I choose to liken the revelation from the Doctrine and Covenants to myself—I believe that we ought to “teach one another the doctrine of the kingdom,” and that includes me.
For this answer, I’m going to paraphrase my explanation straight out of my own book: Some people may be bothered by my deliberately casual tone... To you I say: okay, then you aren’t required to follow along! This is not a work of scripture. I am not a Prophet. While I stay away from what I consider to be topics too sacred to discuss in this casual tone, if you’re worried, give up and don’t let the situation bother you. If you’re simply wondering why I talk and write so casually, the answer is this: this podcast is aimed at Millennials and beyond. An unfortunately large number of us are too afraid to try to read classic Church literature (for instance, Jesus the Christ—I know a lot of people who are terrified of trying to decipher the works of Elder James E. Talmage.) And while I don’t put myself on a level with those outstanding authors, if I can invite the Spirit or get people comfortable with the idea of reading Gospel-centered literature, I’ve done a good job.
Why not a podcast? I figure, they’re popular right now, and beyond that, I can hopefully reach more people than I could with just my book.
Well, I was born the youngest of five kids. I grew up in the Church, as I’ve mentioned—first in California, then in Utah. I’ve been married seven years (almost!) to a wonderful man that I’m sure you’ll hear about, and we have four kids under the age of six—three girls and a baby boy. I craft a lot, my favorite color is yellow, and I share just way too much about myself and my life, so if you follow this podcast, you’ll undoubtedly learn other tidbits! I’m a personality type “white” according to “The Color Code,” which basically means that I am motivated by a desire for peace in life. I can tell you that the quality I value most highly in myself and others is compassion, and I’m on an eternal quest to be a kinder, gentler me in every situation.

The Tuesday Morning Principle is the idea that the Gospel of Jesus Christ should be practiced on a daily, average, ordinary-life basis, as well as tips on how to do that.
Some of the questions we ask Sister Nelson in this episode:
Do you have any particular tips on establishing the habit of studying the Book of Mormon on a consistent, preferably daily, basis?
We’ve talked about establishing the habit of study. Now my next question is, why do you think it’s so important to study the Book of Mormon specifically?
What is your favorite way to study? Do you go through the book in order? Do you study by topic? What about taking notes, or otherwise recording your experiences?
We’ve pretty well covered the what and how of scripture study. Would you be willing to leave us with your testimony of why we should study the scriptures on a daily basis?
