Roots and Arrows is a ministry created to share truth, spread the gospel of Jesus and to see people set free. We want to encourage you to live deeply rooted in Christ and confident in your identity.
My friend, I don't know what is going on in your life. I don't know what has made you feel like it is too late for anything to change. I don't know what satan has convinced you is beyond repair or redemption, but I want you to know that is a lie from the pit of hell.
It is NEVER too late for God to work - Jesus was DEAD.
No matter what looks dead in your life, God can still work. He can breathe life into every situation.
On Good Friday, Jesus died, paying the price for our sins once and for all. Because of Jesus' death, we no longer have to live separated from God, but can now be holy, like He is holy. We can again walk in unity with God. Because of Jesus' death, God looks at us as if we never sinned! When Jesus hung on the cross, before He breathed His last, He said, "It is finished." The redemption price was paid!
Today we're talking about Gethsemane. Jesus fell on His face and cried out to his daddy. He wanted to redeem us, He wanted to glorify His Father, but His flesh didn't want to suffer.
Jesus knew Judas would betray Him and that Peter would deny Him, and He chose them anyway.
Just the same, He knows every single time you will mess up and He chooses you anyway.
God had a plan to rescue us! We are so very loved, that God was ready to rescue us before we even needed it!
It is the first day of our Easter Week videos and I am ridiculously excited to walk through this with you all! Each day I will be posting a video where we will be diving into different details of the Easter story. I pray God uses it to draw you closer to Him and to help you see this week in new ways.
