Let yourself steep in self-love, become saturated by it, and see what happens.

This is the ongoing inquiry of Love Signals: what happens when we let ourselves become saturated with self-love? Throughout this podcast we'll dive deep into practical forms of self-love. I'll introduce you to ideas, authors, practices, resources, and sources of inspiration.

For 365 days - from my 29th to my 30th birthday - I committed to writing a love letter to myself every single day. I wanted to see what would happen. What would I feel? What would I experience? What would happen if I spent time consciously connecting with love and cultivating love in my heart?

The answer to those questions is: SO MUCH! And this podcast is a continuation of this juicy, fun, and life-affirming exploration.

If you love journaling, practical self-care, self-development, or you are simply a curious being like me: come listen!

Come explore the world of love signals: all the ways that love is speaking to us and through us.

God offers us a peace that transcends all understanding. He wants to support us, to comfort us - and by relying on God, we can experience the peace our hearts yearn for.

Come explore more of Philipians with me this week, where we'll explore the nature of God, human nature, and how to experience more peace and less stress!

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7

May you feel God's steadfast love and peace more and more in your life. I am praying for your well-being, and I am so grateful you are here!

What does it really mean to be humble? And what does that have to do with trusting God, pursuing a life filled with love, and surrendering our (human) ways for God's way?

Come explore these questions and more in this week's episode! We'll also touch on personality types, conviction versus condemnation, and more!

This week's title was inspired by this scripture from James 4:6-10 (ESV)

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.

In my relationship with Christ I have been praying to replace my ways for His and to let my life be for Him completely. It was such a blessing to read about humility in the book of Philippians from the New Testament (which is what I'm currently reading).

Please know, I am praying for you and your well-being, and I am so grateful you are here!

There's so much love here for you!

What if we gave everything over to God? I talk about htis all the time, but this past week I've really been focusing on this idea, and I've learned some things along the way!

This week, come explore a powerful verse from Proverbs 3:5 with me - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding."

Trusting with all of my heart is an ongoing journey. Learning to not lean on my understanding is a whole journey too! As I go I realize again and again how much God loves us, and how much he wants to help us have deep roots of faith, and to receive His comfort and support in all things.

One thing I'm so struck by again and again as I study scripture and go deeper in my walk as a Christian is how kind, loving, and wise God is. As I turn my heart, mind, focus, and life towards God more and more I feel so much grace!

In these early stages of marriage I am so grateful for prayer, and for the full grace and truth of Jesus. It is a guiding light.

In this week's episode I'll share some reflections on Logos & Literacy (the documentary) as well as how the enemy can seek to undermine us: especially in the early stages of being Christian, and married.

God is so good! And He wants a relationship with you. His grace is sufficient for every one of us.

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth." - John 1:14 (ESV)

"But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness." Psalm 86:15 ESV

Our wedding day was SO full of God's love. I felt it overflowing from every person I interacted with, every thing that I touched, every breath and moment.

Dylan and I wanted our marriage to bring glory to God - to be about Christ and His love for us; to be a ceremony of commitment to loving Christ and giving up our ways for His as a united couple.

This episode includes lots of storytelling and reminiscing. May it help inspire and touch your hearts and help you remember that God's Love is always here - even if we may not feel it in this moment. His love is steadfast. His promise is absolute.

I am praying for your well-being, and I am so grateful you are here!

It's so good to be back! These past 2 weeks were full of love, insights, and a cold that had both me and my NEW husband down for the count for about a week.

This week's episode is all about rejoicing! There's so much to rejoice about: we are back from our trip where we were baptized, engaged, and MARRIED! And what is more, we experienced SO much love, generosity, and true kindness from the community we were with in Connecticut.

And even throughout this past week - and the challenges of being sick - I felt God's love and comfort. Remembering to give thanks in all circumstances is a lesson from the Bible that feels very alive for me this week.

Remembering that God is good all the time - and all the time, God is good! Even when I may not understand, and even when I may be experiencing discomfort, I can always place my faith in God's goodness, and trust in Him.

Come join me for updates, storytelling, scripture about rejoicing and gratitude. Let's revel in God's goodness together!

Love Signals is all about opening up to all the love that's around us - coming to us and through us.

As I learn more about God and His love, I'm coming to realize that in my quest for knowing what TRUE love is, and to have a life that is saturated with that TRUE love, God has revealed Himself to me as the answer.

My desire to feel loved, to feel held, to feel more and more aware of all the love that reaching out to find me: all the signs, all the clues, that LOVE IS HERE, and I AM LOVED... that desire has been met by God's steadfast love.

Because God has promised to always love us. Jeremiah 31:3 "The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness."

This podcast is all about love... and it's become a place for me to share my Christian faith! So let's learn from the Bible what God says about love.

Agapē, Philia, Eros, Storgē - love has many names in Greek, which is one of the main languages that the original texts of the Bible was written in. The Bible has very clear descriptions of what love is and what love isn't, and in this week's episode I want to share and reflect on that with you!

What does it mean to be truly loving? What are the different forms of love?

We'll explore these ideas, some scripture, and more in this week's podcast!

Love can't be true love without choice. And we always have a choice.

In this week's episode I want to explore all the ways that, from a Christian perspective, God gives us choice! And how that allows us to experience true love. I'll also share some scripture about how Christ wants us to love one another, and how God wants to bring good forth in our lives.

We'll explore these ideas, some scripture, and more in this week's podcast!

As I dive deeper into my Christian faith, I am so grateful to have this space of the podcast to share and explore.

In this week's episode I'll share some scripture, as well as a piece of text that I don't know who to credit for, but that was PROFOUND in the early stages of my faith journey.

It goes:

"Lord, what ever it is I desire, may I desire you more.

what ever it is I seek, may I seek you more.

what ever it is I love, may I love you more.

be more to me than anything else in this world."

What happens when we place Jesus at the center of our lives? What happens when we let Him be our source of comfort, of identity, of ok-ness?

We'll explore these questions, some scripture, and more in this week's podcast!

Thank you all for being here, and being along the ride for me on this journey.

So much can happen in one week! All those little incremental moments and questions and ideas all converge into moments of clarity - into moments of profound change.

In this episode I'll share my experience with Jesus Christ and His love. It feels like I've entered a new world, a new paradigm - and it's a beautiful world, full of light and love and beauty.

He love you! He loves me! He loves us all. Now, with greater conviction than ever I can say, "There is so much love here for you!"

The peace I feel with Jesus is greater than any peace I've ever known. The comfort, the love, the reassurance - I feel Christ helping me be brave to speak the truth, and my heart is forever changed.

Let's talk about prayer! Prayer has become such a powerful part of my life and feels like such an organic evolution of the Love Signals project and journey.

I'll share some of my experiences with prayer and with the way that gratitude as well as requests together create a feeling of closeness with God and God's Love. Cultivating a direct connection with the LOVE that created us brings so much peace and so much grace, no matter what we may be facing.

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances" - 1 Thessalonians 5:16 - 18

We'll explore some of what the Bible says about prayer and about our relationship with God through prayer. I'm in the infancy of learning about the Bible and it's beautiful to read about ways to deepen our connection to God's Love through faith, prayer, and more!

I'll share my thoughts and insights, as well as a love letter that feels like such a celebration of learning and growing in life - and growing closer to LOVE day by day.

What might happen if you gave things over to love? If you gave your love live, your career life, your health, your motivation, your daily routines over to Love? Over to God?

How can we practice consistently connecting to love? Consistently cultivating a deeper relationship with Love and with our Creator?

I'll explore these questions and more in this episode, and I'll share a love letter about feeling God's Love in the rain.

Come explore the value of NOT trying to do things alone - and instead of letting LOVE and God's Love help us, inspire us, and guide us!

I'll share a juicy journal entry about dialoguing with our souls. We'll explore how to journal in a way where we are letting things flow to us and through us, rather than being the one "doing it" or "figuring it out."

Also - it's officially been over 1 year since Love Signals first started! In this week's episode we'll explore the power of doing something for a year - going through that solar cycle of 1 year.

So come along for the journey, explore how you can open to love and how you can open to the PROFOUND support of the Divine in your life. It's amazing how much can happen when we stop trying to do it all alone, and we open our hearts to God's love and support.

"I'm sending you waves of love - look out for them!" This is a message my dear, departed Grandmother wrote to me in a letter years ago.

It has now been 10 years since she passed away peacefully. I want to honor the love signal that she was in my life - and how she embodied love signals!

What if waves of love are being sent to you all the time? From different people? From the past? From the future? What if all those waves of love are like God's Sunshine beaming on you through an infinitesimal number of different stained glass windows: the humans, animals, and plants in our lives that shine love on us...?

I'll share some details of the ways my Grandma's quiet wisdom and pursuit of beauty and creativity carries on in me. I'll also share a short love letter, because I can't help myself!

I've been hungry for a breath of fresh air with this podcast, and with Love Signals in general, but I've been shy to share the ways that Love Signals have been evolving for me!

I want to share the DEEP levels of Love Signals. I want to share how this project is evolving. I want to let you all in on my process - it feels right to share! It can feel scary, because when things change we inevitably rock the boat.

I've landed on the deeply felt experience that God is Love.

And I've been leaning into this feeling... I've been exploring possibilities like: what if God has been guiding me all along? What if my journey is perfectly crafted for me to be a window of God's light? A vessel for God's love? A unique form of love that can touch the hearts of others?

I keep coming back to my direct experience: of love, of God, and of life. Letting myself have a deep and true relationship with whatever God truly is. That's where I feel faith, that's where I feel held, that's where I feel growth and dynamism too!

Life is a gift and a gift that comes from love and from God! We get to keep exploring and learning every step of the way, and I'm so excited to have you HERE with me on this journey.

Do you sometimes need a reminder? Something to let you know that... Everything's going to be okay. You'll feel better soon. Love is here. You are loved, even now, even when you're not feeling so good.

Sometimes we forget, sometimes we disconnect from the deeper truths, but life - love - and God - are ready and eager to find creative ways to remind us!

Let's explore reminders and all the ways that we can prompt life to give us friendly reminders of just how loved and supported we are every moment of every day!

What if a reminder could be like a breath of fresh air: infusing you with inspiration and energy for the next chapter? And what if reminders - and these breaths of fresh are - are inevitable? What if they are going to find you one way or another?

We'll follow up on the topic of action that I introduced last week. I'll share some current insights on how self-development, self-awareness, and all this cultivation of love can impact the way we show up: and the actions we take!

I'll also share some anecdotes and a love letter, and hopefully you'll come away feeling reassured, reminded, and inspired!

There are many ways to perceive love's messages. In this week's episode we'll explore 3 different ways that we can perceive which is based on the 3 Intelligence Centers from the Enneagram system: instinctive, feeling, and thinking. How cool that the enneagram acknowledges the body, heart, and the mind as unique ways that we experience life.

I'll share a little bit about the enneagram as well as some excerpts from the book "The Sacred Enneagram" by Christopher Heuertz - which I highly recommend reading!

I'll also follow up about powerful questions to ask when you take a pause, and we'll expand on this practice of pausing and explore ways to check in with ourselves and open up to feeling, sensing, and knowing Love's presence.

I'll also share some of my insights about the enneagram and how to think of this profound system for understanding more about yourself! It's so much more than a personality profiling system - it's a road map to our true selves!

I'll share some fun ideas, as well as a love letter, and I hope that this episode inspires you and helps you appreciate your distinct way of experiencing life, love, and God!

The pauses we take in life are easy to overlook. The breath between words, the silence between musical notes, the space between tree branches is easy to overlook - but what if that space, what if those pauses are where we can experience love and God in the most profound ways?

Come explore the secret gifts of pausing!! What if love finds us when we pause? What if pausing - those short little moments where we stop what we're doing and we breathe - is one of the best ways to feel love and God's love for us?

In this week's episode I explored how pausing was part of the magic of the year long love letter project. I'd often pause to just breathe and take in the beauty of where I was: right before I wrote, while I wrote, or after I wrote.

What if this is the secret part of the love letter project? And what if pausing was a VITAL ingredient in creating this profound shift in me of feeling deeply connected to Love's presence in my life?

What a wonderful way to be present! Just pause! Just breathe! Just take a moment to break up the momentum of your thoughts, your feelings, or whatever - and relax and feel what's here. See what you discover!

What happens when you practice living in the present?

I've been practicing being present - in little moments here and there throughout the day - and I've noticed that SO much delight can come from it!

In this episode we'll explore the benefits of being present with ourselves and being present with others. From prayer, to somatic awareness, to gratitude, to deep listening - there are many ways to be present with ourselves and with others. And it seems to be that there's a lot of LOVE here for us, ready to embrace us, when we simply get present.

Come explore the power of the present moment! What do you feel when you get truly, deeply present?

From our theme of choice, I feel inspired to now progress into the aspect of presence. The present moment is where we get to give love, receive love, and feel connected to love.

We'll discuss some ideas from "A Mini Course for Life" about how "Within the freedom of this present moment, we can extend our natural loving nature".

This week's episode is deep and multi-layered. I touch on how writing love letters primed me for the loving relationship I'm in now, and how these love letters can function as a way to connect with how we want to be loved, and what our hearts long for. I also explore how self-love is different than narcissism - how it's much more of a sense of connecting with the love that's here for us, and seeing ourselves through those eyes.

I'll share a love letter that illustrates how being saturated with love enhances our experience of everything in life - and helps us to appreciate the beauty of life all the more.

Come play with love - come let yourself be filled with love and guided by love!

Happy day after Valentine's Day! Let's explore how to feel more reassured about the truth that: YOU ARE LOVED.

In this episode I'll share some fun ideas for how to connect with LOVE no matter if you are single or in a relationship.

This week's episode I'll share a fun fix for the all-too-common tendency we have of worrying "do you really love me?" And a new way to say "I love you" to the people in your life.

The book I want to talk about this week is a NOVEL called "100 Days of Sun Light" by Abbie Emmons. This book, and the awesome author who wrote it, helped inspire me to explore how movies and novels can show us how to release misguided or limiting beliefs we may hold. Whether that's about our romantic lives, our capabilities, and beyond.

I'll also share a love letter all about feeling connected to love and fueled by love.

We can reprogram our minds. We have so much choice when it comes to what we notice, what we focus on, and our overall perception.

We condition our inner voice based on what's familiar. Maybe that voice echoes things you've heard from your parents, or things you've heard from television or friends. Rather than passively letting that inner voice parrot the things it has heard, what if you consciously cultivated an inner voice that cheers you on, thanks you, and reminds you of how loved you are?

In this week's episode, we'll explore the origins of our inner voice, as well as the power of associations and "anchors" as they call them in NLP. I'll share some personal anecdotes about how I'm overcoming certain fears through creating new narratives.

I'll also share a love letter that is a great example of words and phrases of encouragement that are wonderful to make familiar!

I have some fun insights along the way - and I'm so happy for you to be hear and listen on this journey!

There's so much love here for you!

What if questions could be even more powerful than statements and affirmations? Let's play with questions together! Questions can open our minds and hearts and put us in a state of curiosity and engagement.

In this weeks episode, we'll explore the value of questions and different ways to use them in your life. I'll also share a love letter that touches on how to work with uncomfortable emotions - like overwhelm - by seeing them as an invitation to give things over to the divine and to remember that we are held - held by a love that is vast, steady, and powerful.

I'll also share the "two room theory" with you all and we'll explore how to use Lofty Questions* to make goal setting and visualizing even more powerful when it comes to creating the life we want!

*Lofty Questions (aka "Identity Shift Statements") is a technique created by Christie Marie Sheldon and shared by Vishen Lakhiani in his talk on youtube about techniques to hit your top 3 goals this year: https://youtu.be/imJd5lsZ0jg

How do you relate to the unknown? Does it feel scary? or does it feel exciting? The unknown is neutral, made of pure potential and how we feel about it can often be a powerful mirror of how we're doing. It's an opportunity to gain insight into how we're doing, and it can show us any areas we want to bring more love to.

In this week's episode, we'll explore how to befriend things that may make us nervous, like the unknown. How can we give our fear over to God - and therefore bring more love to our thoughts and lives?

I'll also share a love letter from the end of the year-long project that explores these themes of embracing the unknown. I'll also share the book I'm reading now and some of the inspiration I'm already starting to gather from it on this continued journey of Love Signals.

What if we can bring more love to the everyday acts like washing the dishes, or editing a piece of writing. What if we are living love letters? What if you could be a source of love and live from a place of love more and more - as you notice all the love flowing to you?

In this week's episode I'll share a love letter from my upcoming book, Love Signals that explores how love can be found in everyday acts.

I'll also follow up on the "Feel Be Do" experiment I mentioned in Ep. 31 and how bringing intention can change our entire experience... and outcomes!

Sharing even more from my upcoming book - I'll share about how to use thought experiments as a way to connect with love more throughout the day.

It's a New Year... which really just means we've been given the gift of more time to notice love and be a source of love.

This past December was spent doing deep work on my book - which is just one or two final steps away from being published and ready for the world!

I'll share some of the key insights from the process of writing the book along with some of the ways I'm choosing to approach this new year of 2023.

What would happen if you brought even more love to your life in the new year? To whatever goals you may have, to whatever dreams you may have - what if you let love be part of your new year? What if you chose to be a source of love: through your touch, your words, your presence? What if you chose to look for signs of love?

We'll explore these questions as well as some fun thoughts on sunshine and how it connects to love. I'll also share a letter that connects well with these themes.

Receiving is a skill. If we can't fully receive the love that's here, we experience scarcity, but if we CAN fully receive the love that's here we enter into a world of abundance!

If you want to practice receiving all the goodness that's here: the love, the kindness, and beyond I have some insights and ideas for you in this episode.

What if receiving is a gift to the person who's giving us something? Whether that's a compliment, words of love, a massage, and beyond. What if receiving things well allows love and connection to flow?

We'll explore these questions as well as some fun thoughts on water, somatic psychology, the value of relaxation when it comes to letting in the goodness that's here! And I'll share a love letter that connects well with this theme.

This is the last episode of Season 1 of the Love Signals Podcast. I'll be back with you all again in January 2023.

What if all the landscapes of the planet, with all their variety, exist in us? In our hearts and our minds?

What if our heart is a meeting place? A place for our consciousness to commune with the divine?

What if self-love isn't about sugar coating things and ignoring the things that hurt or that we want to forget, but about shining light and love and being honest with ourselves?

What if Love Signals can help us feel brave, inspired, and delighted by all the landscapes of life and of ourselves?

Let's explore these questions and more in this week's episode.

Listen to your heart... it sounds so nice, but sometimes it's a tricky business!

Thankfully we are not alone in this experience. Books like, The Alchemist, can shine light on the challenges and the benefits of listening to our hearts. And hopefully this podcast can offer some warm encouragement too!

Love Signals, at its core, is about listening to our hearts. Letting the feedback loop of love and messages be open so we can be in dialogue with love.

In The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho writes about the value of choosing to listen to our hearts again and again. Being consistent, steadfast. I was inspired by that theme to share a love letter where I explore how consistent love helps show that the love is unconditional. When I feel unconditionally loved, I feel free to listen to my heart all-the-more!

The idea of feedback loops and dialoging with ourselves and the great beyond is something I'll explore in terms of our hearts, but also in terms of our breath, body language, and expression. I'll explore the question: Does smiling less make us more serious and contemplative?

I'll also share something super fun: a small piece of music! Just me and my ukulele. Music is one of the many ways I communicate with my heart and it communicates with me. I wanted to share in hopes it can further inspire you all on your love signals journeys!

What do you think when a butterfly flutters by you? Is that a random thing, or could it be a symbol? Could it represent ideas and feelings like: love is here, life is good, you are right where you are meant to be?

The great thing about symbols that come from nature: butterflies, dragonflies, sunsets, rainbows, and beyond is that they can find us any time, any day. And what if they are messengers and symbols that can remind us of all the love in our hearts and in our lives?

We'll explore these questions and more in this episode. I'll share a love letter where I talk about the symbol of star-beams! I'll also share how we can consciously create powerful associations called "anchors" to help us connect with a positive feeling state.

I invite you to explore the symbols in your life and the meaning you give to them. I also invite you to create a positive anchor where you associate really good happy feelings when you place your hand(s) over your heart.

You have so much freedom when it comes to how you create and relate to this beautiful life. May this episode add some whimsy and play to your day.

Fall is here! Full moons and adventure are calling.

We are the hero's of our own stories. In this episode we'll discuss the Hero's Journey Wheel, as defined by Joseph Campbell.

Our lives are filled with many adventures, many trips around the hero's journey wheel. We get to learn more about life and ourselves through each adventure, through each challenge.

We'll explore how seeing ourselves as the hero's of our stories is an empowering perspective that can help us be resilient as we follow our hearts and have our adventures.

I invite you to explore: what would a love letter sound like if it was written for your inner hero-self? How can we use love letters to celebrate our strengths as a hero? How can we use love letters to bolster ourselves when we feel like reluctant hero's or when we feel beat down on our journeys?

We'll explore these questions and much more in this episode. I'll share a love letter from a powerful time in my life - at the beginning of a true hero's journey adventure.

How can we let the wisdom of the seasons inspire help inform and inspire our creative projects? It's early autumn here and I'm exploring how the energy of slowing down, synthesizing, and gathering the gems of our experiences can help inform my creative process as I write a book.

"The reason you would create anything is because you love it enough to see it exist." - Robert Fritz

I love seeing creating as an act of love. Seeing something through - the labor of love. What is it like to bring love to creating? How can that bring more ease, more sweetness? How can that help us open to the divine and the support of something beyond our humanity?

We'll explore these questions and more in this episode. I'll share a love letter about appreciating being alive - being loved into being - and the way Fall reminds me of the preciousness of life.

I'll also share a fun way to think about jealousy when it comes up AND a helpful tool when you are having trouble deciding between two choices.

I'm working on a book and using the Tiny Book Course created by Alex Franzen and Lindsey Smith as a guide for every step of the way, and it's wonderful! I highly recommend checking out Alex Franzen and all her creations.

What happens when we fill up on self-love so much that it starts to overflow into the rest of our lives?

The yearlong Love Letter project started with the aim of filling myself up with greater self-love. I wanted to see what would happen if I said the things I needed to hear, and if I became a robust source of love, reassurance, and support for myself.

As I continue exploring the world of Love Signals and reflecting on my year of self-love letters I realize that as that self-love became stronger, I started to notice how much love was everywhere - as if it was overflowing and touching everything in my world.

In this episode, we'll explore some more layers of the prompt, "Say what you most need to hear." From the possible emotions that can come up, how to know you're on the right track, and more. We'll also discuss the power of titration to help us integrate new perspectives and experiences, as well as in helping us release and process old hurts.

Learning how to be a source of self-love has helped me experience more freedom and well-being in my life, and I have seen this effect on others - so I invite you to give it a try for yourself!

What happens when we look for love - love signals - in all seasons?

As we explore our lives through the lens of seasons, and see the inherent value of each season and how it supports the next, we can start to feel more peace with what is, more peace with where we are at.

We'll discuss 5 Elements Theory and how the elements can help us gain insight into the emotional and mental aspects of each season. I'll also share a love letter that connects to the feeling of springtime and beginnings.

I invite you to explore your relationship to the different seasons, and to explore how seeing the value of each season can help you feel more acceptance for where you are right now.

How can we help ourselves remember pearls of wisdom?

Those profound insights we've had or received from books, podcasts, deep meditation, nature, a loving friend, a supportive coach, and beyond.

Let me introduce you to the Love Signals Card idea - this is such a fun DIY project you can do.

I'll share how you can gather insights, quotes, words, or whatever it is that feels meaningful to you and create a deck of cards to help remind yourself of potent messages, like little love signals, when you need them most.

I've created a variety of these decks. From a deck of cards to help inspire me when I go to write, to a set of cards to keep me anchored in myself when I'm dating, to a yummy set to inspire creative self-care... and beyond!

We'll also explore something super near and dear to my heart: my romantic partner, Dylan!

I feel that on some level the Love Letter Project helped me on my journey of opening up to deep and profound love, and I'll share a love letter that ties into this, and my reflections on that journey.

I hope this podcast inspires you to create your own deck of love signals cards and that you get inspired to open up to even more love in your life: whether you are single now, or in partnership. What if you could open up to even more love, right here, right now?

What if love can transcend time?

Part of my year long self-love letter project was about exploring writing love letters to and from different versions of myself throughout time.

I've written from the perspective of my future self: cheering me on in my current life, and I've written to my past self, loving her, reminding her that she is loved.

I've even written from the perspective of my future beloved - as he might speak to me about his eagerness to know and love me.

Part of what inspired this timeline journaling idea is the inner child work I've done with myself and with clients. I'll share a bit of that process as well as information about the "Inner Mentor" concept from Tara Mohr's book, Playing Big.

And of course, I'll share a love letter for the week, as well as a few sweet stories of some of the places where I wrote these love letters.

Some questions to explore:

  • What does your younger self need to hear the most?
  • What wisdom or support does your future self have to share with you?
  • What if you are receiving love and support from a future version of you, right now? And all you need to do is relax and receive that?

I hope this podcast helps you open up to the love of your future self and to sharing love with your past self.

Are you starting this new health kick, or habit, or project out of self-appreciation or out of self-rejection? Are you coming from love or from fear? Is it a reaction or is it a creation?

Our efforts can have very different outcomes and provide very different experiences depending on one simple, but very deep thing...

Where are you coming from?

Oooh this is a fun and juicy episode. I'll share some beautiful thoughts on curiosity as a gateway to self-compassion (especially when it feels hard to feel self-compassion); how contrast motivates change; how to come from love when we start something new or seek out change; and how gratitude and love help us anchor into what is true, and inspire us to create positive changes in our lives.

"Love is our true reality; fear is something our minds have made up."

We'll dive into the insights of that quote and more from the book, A Mini Course for Life - which is based on A Course in Miracles. We'll also explore concepts from Dr. Andrew Huberman's podcasts on goals, motivation, and how it's valuable to reflect on the discomfort of NOT following through with our goals (aka future foreshadowing).

I'll also share another love letter from my year long project.

I hope this podcast inspires you to bring more love, curiosity, and gratitude to whatever you're working on already and any future pursuits.

Creation - the act of bringing something into being. This is something we do all the time, in little ways and big ways. But sometimes the creative process can feel intimidating. We can feel overwhelmed, or uncertain about how to start, how to proceed, how to finish.

But what if creativity is more of a dialogue, more of a dance, than we realize? What is possible when we open ourselves up to insights, guidance, and inspiration from that which is beyond ourselves?

What if we can create with even more ease and delight when we let go of seeing it as something personal? What happens when we show up, steadily, consistently, building momentum and become the vessel for creativity to flow through?

In this episode we'll explore these questions and more! And I will share a big exciting announcement with you all.

Creating this episode was so nourishing. It helped me remember how empowering ideas like "Be the Vessel" and "Value the Incremental" can be, especially when we need to be brave as we venture into the unknown... which is something I'm about to do!

Gratitude is such a popular topic! And for a good reason, gratitude has been shown to help increase our happiness levels, improve our physical health, improve our sleep, reduce fatigue, create more satisfaction with life, and more!

But how can we cultivate and create gratitude in our lives?

From how the daily practice has evolved, other things I'm adding that are enhancing the gratitude experience, to a NEW awesome form of gratitude practice I stumbled upon, there are some juicy insights in this episode.

What is most important in a gratitude practice?

What is the state of being that includes contentment in the now and excitement for the future?

How can we follow our hearts? How can we know when something is a yes, versus a no? How do we decipher the difference between what we "should" do and what is most in-integrity for us to do?

I'm so excited to introduce you all to a concept that has enhanced my quality of life in so many ways: Tigger Yes!

A Tigger Yes feels like a love signal - the signal our hearts, minds, bodies send to us saying: YES! I want to do that!

I'll share two love letters from my year long project that explore choice, aliveness, and how sensations: sight, smell, taste, touch all help to light up the internal map of what feels right. Moreover, what a Tigger Yes feels like!

We'll also explore the question:

What have you decided to make your life about?

That is a question that comes from the book, Your Life As Art, by Robert Fritz - which explores how to view our lives as a creative process.

I'll also share some thoughts and insights from one of the new books I'm reading: The Obstacle is the Way, by Ryan Holiday of The Daily Stoic.

What if love signals are finding us through starlight?

From the depths of space we are receiving images of stars, nebulas, galaxies and beyond. This is all thanks to the James Webb Satellite and its ability to capture images of deep space - deeper than we've ever seen before.

What a Love Signal!

All those stars, all that light, all those galaxies and beyond - they're sending out light, waves, particles that are in our universe. We may not be able to see them, or feel them, but they are here. All that light is finding us: illuminating us.

Come join me as we explore how the wonder of the universe can help us feel the goodness, and love, of life.

This idea of light pressing in on us, ready and eager to illuminate our hearts and lives, is one that Michael Singer (author of The Untethered Soul) touches on when he describes enlightenment. It's also an idea I played with in one of my 365 love letters from my year long project.

I'll share passages from Michael Singer's book, another love letter from my year-long project, as well as my musings on writing and how love signals communicate with us.

What if everything you see, hear, and feel today is a love signal?

What if you are more loved and supported than you can even imagine?

Come join me as we explore how asking positive "what if..." questions can help open us up to more ease, love, and peace.

In this episode we're going to go deeper into the book The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer. We'll explore the difference between the psyche (the voice in our head narrating everything) and the witness (the one who hears the voice). I'll explore how love signals relate to the idea of identifying with our witness-self rather than our psyche-self.

We'll also explore ideas like the "negativity bias" and how easy it is for the human mind to focus on the problems and to ignore the good in our lives. I'll also share another love letter from my year-long project.

In this episode we'll explore how self-love is intertwined with choice, beliefs, and the natural breathing rhythms of life.

What if feeling lost or uninspired is just a sign we've disconnected from our hearts?

And what if coming back to ourselves, remembering ourselves and the truth of our hearts feels like a relief, a warm, welcome home?

Tune in to hear another love letter from my year long project, details about the awesome self-help tool called Tapping, how to use Tapping to release limiting beliefs and connect with empowering beliefs, and some musings on the nature of forgetting and remembering.

I want to take this opportunity to remind you all of how much true choice you have in what you do, what you pay attention to, and what you believe about yourself and about life.

The world of self-help and self-development is so rich - and you really get to choose what resonates and what doesn't. I love remembering how free we are to follow our hearts and what truly feels best to us, every step of the way.

Thank you for joining me, tuning in, and being true to your heart - whether it's in the little moments or the big moments. It all is powerful, important, and meaningful!

There's so much love here for you!

Love Signals is all about all the ways love is sending us messages - all the signals helping us remember how loved we are and how much love we have to give.

This is a special podcast, because it will be airing on my birthday! Birthdays are such a wonderful time to reflect on our lives. I love to reflect on the past year, ask questions like: how was everything that happened there to help me? and then look towards the coming year and set my intentions.

It's been one full year since I concluded the year long self-love letter project. I took a break from any type of daily journaling commitment, but for the coming year I'll be doing a gratitude practice. I'll share thoughts and details on that, as well as how starting before you're ready can create momentum and magic!

We'll touch on Matt Kahn's book, Everything is Here to Help You, as well as ideas from Marie Forleo, and how asking potent questions can help our minds look for empowering proof of life's love, goodness, and strength.

I'll also share the last 2 birthday love letters I wrote, and we'll explore ideas of how my year long love letter project was a form of remembering - remembering all the love I have and all the love that's here for me.

Thank you for joining me. There's so much love here for you!

Let yourself steep in self-love, become saturated by it, and see what happens.

This is the ongoing inquiry of Love Signals: what happens when we saturate ourselves with self-love? And in this week's episode I'll introduce you to the wonderful, world-renowned teacher and author Louise Hay and her body of work, which includes the awesome self-love practice called Mirror Work.

But is doing Mirror Work hard? Does it bring up resistance? How do we address the thoughts and feelings that reject self-love and self-compassion? I've got you! I'll outline three practices that can help with any resistance that can arise from doing Mirror Work or other self-love practices: Tapping, Matt Kahn's practice of loving all our parts, and Byron Katie's inquiry process.

"The point of power is in the present moment." We'll explore this gem from Louise Hay's book, Heal Your Body, and how we can connect with more empowerment and love by becoming present.

This is a juicy episode - We'll also discuss what containers have to do with self-development, the relationship between our thoughts and reality, how to become "Unfuckwithable", and more!

Thank you for joining me. There's so much love here for you!

"We are put on earth a little space / that we may learn to bear the beams of love." - William Blake

What is a love beam? What happens when love, in all its brightness, warmth, and power shines on us?

Do we turn away? Do we turn towards it?

Sometimes it is uncomfortable to let ourselves be seen with eyes of love.

What happens when we share our innermost-self and it's met with love?

In this week's episode we'll explore an exercise called "Beams of Love" from Martha Beck's book, The Way of Integrity, as well as themes she explores from Dante's Inferno that tie into the way love can illuminate and liberate us.

I'll share a love letter that reminds me of this process of receiving beams of love - love that shines on the deep essential part of ourselves. We'll also discuss mirror neurons, 5 Elements Theory and Chinese Medicine, and I'll give you a sneak peak of next week's theme: Mirror Work!

Come explore the world of Love Signals with me and how turning towards the "Beams of Love" can have profound impact. Things may shift incrementally, bit by bit, but that incremental shifts helps us build towards something beyond our comprehension.

Enjoy!

What is the relationship between self-honesty and self-love?

Can self-love help us be more self-honest?

Sometimes we consider being honest as something that's harsh, or not loving. But what if being honest, specifically being honest with ourselves, is actually a great act of love?

What if being kind to ourselves as we unveil the truth allows us to come into integrity so we can live our best lives?

Come explore the possibility that the more we love ourselves, the more empowered we are to make positive changes, and how love helps us take action, no matter what emotion we're experiencing.

In this episode I'll explore these ideas, share journaling exercises, a Love Letter from my year long project, and dig into the rich material on this topic from Martha Beck's book, The Way of Integrity.

Enjoy!

What happens when we give all the parts of ourselves room to be fully expressed and understood?

Do you ever feel like you're at odds with yourself? One part of you wants to do one thing and the other doesn't? One part is scared, one is excited? Or maybe there parts of yourself you ignore or judge...

What if by fully inhabiting each part of ourselves we can bring greater understanding, love, and compassion to ourselves?

In this episode we'll explore these questions and more!

I'll share more ideas for journaling exercises, more quotes and insights from the book Whatever Arises Love That, and a Love Letter from my year long project.

What if love is always here, no matter what we are feeling, what we are thinking, or what's going on around us?

As we continue this journey of opening up to love, let's explore how receptive we are to love.

Is it easier for you to give love or receive it?

What if, even just for a moment, you could be on the receiving end of the love you give?

In this episode we'll explore how to practice receiving love, as well as how loving ourselves - every aspect - can help empower us to live our best lives.

I'll share more ideas for journaling exercises, as well as some quotes and insights from Matt Kahn's book "Whatever Arises Love That".

Self-love is a beautiful thing, but so often it can feel vague, lofty, and intangible. How can self-love be practical and concrete?

And even if we feel it sometimes... is it possible to cultivate it even more?

On my 29th birthday I was inspired to write myself a love letter every day for a year.

Little did I know how this decision, this commitment, would help answer that question and give me even more insights into self-love and how it can empower us in so many wonderful and surprising ways.

In this episode I'll not only share the guidelines I gave myself for my year of Self-Love Letters, but I'll also share one of the letters!

We'll explore the power of journal prompts like, "Say what you most need to hear." As well as other juicy reflections on the wonderful world of Love Signals.

Enjoy!
