Happy Holidays, friends! Rachel and I are chatting about what the holiday season means to us. As humans who live quite far from family, the meaning of the holidays changes a bit. It may no longer be waking up and having cinnamon rolls with your family or opening presents all together and that can change the way you view the holidays. We both now view the holidays as a feeling, a mood, an attitude versus stuff and events. It’s a viewpoint shift, that’s for sure, but it’s really fun to get into the meaning of the holidays. It’s sharing love, kindness and joy with all those around you. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! We hope you see the joy in the season with whatever you celebrate and get to spend some time with loved ones.
Hey, hey friends! Urgent news: GABBY FINISHED A BOOK! We are in full support of Gabby’s book era. This week we’re chatting about how we manage holidays as people in relationships and with some of us living far away from family. In our hearts, we always want to maintain our traditions that we had as a kid and spend time with our families, but that isn’t always doable when you start to get older. It can be difficult to navigate which family gets each holiday when you’re in a relationship and it becomes even more complex when people are flying into town to see you. Then if you introduce kids into the equation, whew, it’s a doozy. We’re going to walk through how we typically do it!
Hi hi! Happy Thursday, friends! We hope you are having a wonderful holiday season. This week, we explore being an introvert or an extrovert. While we all classify ourselves as introverts, we each have some characteristics that bring out our inner extrovert...maybe some more than others. Who do you think is the most extroverted of our group? How would you classify yourself? Listen along with us this week as we explore different scenarios and our comfort level for each one. Some may surprise you! And let us know how you would feel in that situation. Have a wonderful week, friends!
Hi Hi! Happy Thanksgiving!! We hope you enjoy eating food and spending time with people. We are talking about what we are grateful for this year. Happy Holiday season friends! ‘Tis the season, truly. I mean, could you ask for anything better? We’re chatting about getting into the holiday spirit and what we’re looking forward to this holiday season!
Hi friends! This week, we are continuing our Brene Brown Series of her different Guideposts in "The Gifts of Imperfection". We each has a different perspective on what spirituality is to us and how it helped to cultivate our own resilience. Whatever your spirituality is, it's your own journey to discover and tell how it helped shape your resilience! Listen in this week as we continue our Brene Brown series! Happy Thursday!

Hey, hey! This week we are revisiting our episode 1 topic where we talked about dealing with uncertainty. It’s about a year later and that uncertainty really hasn’t stopped. We’ll chat about how we feel about the “I don’t knows” in life and how to deal with them when it comes to big life changes. Sometimes the uncertainty comes from growth and sometimes it’s just life throwing a curveball at you. We’re talking about continuing to live in the moment in times of uncertainty so you don’t miss out on the positives of where you are today. Continuing to practice gratitude can really help you get through those uncertain times. Lastly, we’ll touch on how we think we’ve grown in how we handle uncertainty in the past year!

Hi friends! We are kicking off a new series following a book/Guidepost by Brene Brown. If you would like to follow along with us weekly, we are basing our topics off of "The Gifts of Imperfection". Guidepost #1 discusses being authentic to yourself and letting go of what others think. We discuss the importance to us in being authentic to ourselves and how we started discovering our true authenticity (which is always growing and changing). We really dive into when we felt like we lost our authenticity and when we started rediscovering who we are, what we value. Join along with us in this fun new series!

Welcome friends! Happy Thursday! Friendship can be amazing, but what is challenging is confronting people when things aren’t going right. Let’s talk about how to confront friends and what are helpful tips to have successful conversations. It is important people know you care and that you care enough about the relationship to have these hard conversations. We hope you have a wonderful Thursday!
Happy Thursday, Friends! Okay, have you ever actually thought about how loaded the question, “how are you?” is?? Like, truly, do you ever realize that you are opening up a can of worms for the other person? They could either tell you their deepest darkest secrets or they could say, “good, thanks!” We’ve become so conditioned to this question that sometimes we really don’t even think about the answer. The answer always seems to be, “doing well, thanks,” but are you actually doing well? How do you define a good day? Sheyenne and Rachel dive deep on this topic and what having a good day means to them. Come along with us and tell us how you define a good day!

Hey, hey Happy Thursday! This week we’re talking about body image and where we are at in our journey. We’ve all struggled in the past and have worked towards being in a healthier relationship with food and fitness. There’s an incredible amount of pressure to be society’s version of “fit”, but Rachel gives us some insight into what her personal view of “fit” is. We also talk about some of the personal boundaries that we’ve created to help us through our journey. We all have to start with recognizing the things and actions that feed into the harmful thoughts. From there, we can work towards building a better relationship with our bodies.

We’re chatting about how you really need to prioritize what your body is telling you when you are burnt out. Come along with us this week and maybe we will convince you that you also need to take a break if you’re currently dealing with burnout!

Hello hello! Happy Thursday! Let's chat about celebrating accomplishments, because now that we are full adults, we have no idea how to celebrate anymore (or even what to celebrate). We get caught in this vicious cycle of just existing. Sheyenne is hitting her 3 year anniversary with work, so help us encourage and find ways for her to celebrate this milestone! And we should be celebrating more than just work accomplishments because there are so many things to be proud of yourself in daily life. Woke up and cleaned your bedroom? Great! Have a chocolate! Ran that half marathon you wanted to run? Fantastic, jump in the pool and enjoy a lazy day the rest of the day! Let's find ways to celebrate things. Let us know how you celebrate your wins, big or small!
Hey, hey friends! This week we are revisiting dealing with difficult times to get Gabby’s opinion. We talk about trying to deal with the hills instead of the mountains, but sometimes our coping mechanisms aren’t the healthiest…recognizing them is the first step, right? Sometimes it’s difficult to choose the healthier route, but it’s still important to have those techniques on hand to try and make that choice. You also have to work out what techniques will work at different times. Rachel tries employing some of Sheyenne’s techniques and gives some feedback on how it went.

There are things we would all like to change and it is important to look back on those things.
HAPPY ONE YEAR TO THE POD! And happy Thursday everyone! We are going to postpone our one year celebration for when Gabby rejoins us. Instead, Sheyenne and Rachel dig deep into the brutal honesty of what life is like for a real human - those that don’t sugar coat how crappy things are going and how hard it is to see the bright side of situations. Which is why we decided to start the podcast. To be an outlet for others to hear the reality of our situation and that you are not alone if you’re struggling. We understand and we hear you!

If you’re gifting this season, it’s a perfect time to figure out what you want to get for the special people in your life! Sometimes it’s hard to resist buying yourself everything you’ve ever wanted, but you have to remind yourself that your lovely friends and family are also trying to find something for you for the holidays. If you want something, put it on a list to send to friends and family instead of buying it yourself during the holiday season! Keep an eye out for sales on stuff you need like treatments you usually do, staple wardrobe pieces you need to replace or makeup/skincare that you frequently use. Lastly, ask yourself, do I really need this or is it just a sale? Let us know what you’re wanting to get on black friday!

Question of the week: If you could live anywhere, where would you live?
Hi Friends, welcome back! Gabby gives us a lovely wedding update at the beginning of this episode and leads up into a chat about living on your own. We talk about how living on your own can be overwhelming at first, especially getting used to all of the creaks and new house noises. We also chat about choosing where you live wisely! That decision is SO important, generally for safety reasons, but you could be like Sheyenne and prioritize cabinet color and countertops on your checklist. Regardless, come listen to us discuss budgeting, what we prioritized and why!

And finally we discuss how we continue to use social media without overwhelming ourselves on the platform…again at least we try to!
Question of the week: Who are your favorite creators to follow on social media?
