God sows the seeds of His love to all people with impartiality. It is then our obligation to respond to His outpouring of love by taking action to till the soil of our hearts so that it is ready to receive His Word. May God help us all to bring forth a crop according to our capacity.
Join us as we wrap up the final chapters of the book of Exodus and also begin to come to a close on the life of Moses. Next week we will look at the book of Deuteronomy briefly to see the final moments of the life of the Prophet Moses.
We are called to preoccupied with Light, so that whatever we do or wherever we go we reflect the Light of Christ. Sometimes we are tempted to hide the Light of God, but instead as Christ calls us to do, "Let your light so shine that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven."
There is nothing for us to be anxious about once we begin to see that everything is from the Lord's hand. Whether it be good or bad in our eyes, it will all work out for good for those who love God. If our hope is in Him, it doesn't mean that we won't experience hardship or trials, but that whatever we go through we can be assured of it all working out in the end.
Join us as we celebrate the blessed feast of St Luke the Evangelist, our blessed patron saint and intercessor!
God is Love and so by moving closer to Him we in turn become more like Him. This is why God has given us the commandment to love Him and to love one another. By loving God and becoming more like Him we in turn fulfil the commandment to love our neighbour. This is the goal and purpose of our whole life!
Falling at Christ's feet and realising his own sinfulness, St Peter demonstrates for us what remarkable repentance looks like. When we know ourselves and truly see how far away from God we are and how often we reject Him, then we can as St Peter did, make a true and life changing repentance that changed the course of his whole life and eternity!
After a hiatus of a few weeks, we are back! Join us for part 4 of Moses' life in the book of Exodus
Christ comes to us and condescends to us and heals us from our infirmities and sins. He can never be defiled by us and by our sin. Conversely, when we come into contact with Christ He transforms us and cleanses us rather than us defiling Him. Let us run to Him!
God desires our broken and contrite hearts. Just as the sinner woman comes before Christ and holds onto His feet as if to not let go, so also Christ desires for us to come to Him with our brokenness and in repentance. Clinging to Him without ever wanting to let go.
At the moment many of us struggle to 'desire' God. Instead we run after the things of the world and try to seek pleasure and fulfilment in them. However, if we struggle day by day and seek after Christ a little more each day then one day through His grace we may come to truly desire Him.
When we actually live for Christ, it is then that we truly experience Him. As such we become doers of the Word and partakers of who He is.
As humans we are always wanting more and are never satisfied with what we have. Christ calls us to a life of being content. May He help us in every circumstance to learn the art of being content having the knowledge that our relationship with Him is drawing us nearer to being united with Him everyday. May this be our source of comfort and desire.
Join us as we begin the life of Moses, beginning in the book of Exodus. Following on from Genesis.
God is the external source of energy, the only source of energy. Without Him we will begin to slow down and eventually come to a halt. Our life with mean nothing, it is only when the Lord becomes our whole source that we truly live life in it's fullest sense, knowing that all of us is derived from Him. The Creator and Giver of life.
Fr Sam provides us with a spiritual interpretation of what can sometimes be a confusing passage of scripture. Through this homily we are able to hopefully flee all forms of abominations that seek to set themselves up in the place of God in our hearts and instead enthrone the Lord within our hearts.
The life of St Matthew shows us how we can just like the Holy Apostle, leave everything and follow our Lord and Saviour.
With the feast of the Dormition of our most Holy Mother approaching, Fr Daniel helps us to see how central St Mary is within the Christian faith. Drawing from the Old Testament the Gospel writers are clearly making a point of how St Mary is now the greatest intercessor for Christians everywhere.
Christ is The Cornerstone and our Cornerstone. Just as the wise man built upon the Rock and found a god Foundation, so let us too build upon the Rock, having Christ as our foundation in which we are being built up into Temples of the Holy Spirit.
Join us as we conclude our Bible study on the Gospel of Mark. May God bless us and help us to not just be hearers of the Word, but to be doers. Amen.
Our whole lives are meant to be the 'Gospel' embodied. How we conduct ourselves and live should be a living example of the 'Good News'. May God help us all to be live out the Holy Words of scripture and become a living Gospel for all to witness and glorify our Father in Heaven.
The Israelites were fed by God with Manna from Heaven in the wilderness for 40 years, until they began to loathe eating it and desired the meat of Egypt. This is a picture of them loathing the freedom that God offered and desiring to be in bondage again just to enjoy fleeting carnal pleasures. This is a danger for us and something we all need to be aware of.
Have we dug deep and allowed Christ to rule in our hearts as the Rock that we have built our house upon? Have we allowed Him to permeate our whole lives so that when we give or do anything it is for His glory and not our own?
Blessed feast of Pentecost! As we celebrate the coming down of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter as tongues of fire upon the Holy Apostles, let us have confidence to begin the Apostle's fast with zeal and fervour. Not shying away from the difficulty of the fast and not scorning the timing of it post Holy 50, but instead let us welcome this fast with open arms and open hearts.
We cannot find rest in the world, only in God, with God and through God do we truly find rest and peace for our souls.
What is the purpose of our life? What am I here for? Is there any point to me striving so hard to achieve my 'dreams'? All of us will eventually need to come to terms and grapple with these kinds of questions in our lifetime. They ultimately should spark within us a deep longing for our Lord who has created us and our hearts to be in communion with Him. Fr Sam helps us to understand the beauty of these questions, how they can lead us to Christ and finally the reward that awaits us in Eternity.
We are blessed to have HG Bishop Daniel join us and pray the Divine Liturgy on this day. As our honoured Bishop instructs us, let us walk in the light and allow our actions to be permeated by the True Light, so that others may see them and glorify our Father in heaven.
Our Lord thirsts for the salvation of our souls. He greatly desires us, yet He does not need anything from us. When Christ meets the Samaritan woman He shows us how He will go out of His way to find that one lost sheep, which is all of us.
God out of His manifold wisdom has brought us forth into creation out of love. And He has given to us a way of communing with Him, Aidan helps us to see from examples in the OT of the hospitality of Abraham, to Christ instituting the Eucharist of how God wants us to truly "taste and see that the Lord is good..."
As humans there are natural levels of believing that take place in our lives. Whether we have been raised in the faith or we are a convert, there will always be a level of doubt involved. St. Thomas exhibited this doubt in a healthy way that we can all learn from; when once he had seen the risen Lord, he went on to become a martyr preaching the Gospel.
As Mary Magdalene waited and sought our Lord diligently and could not bear to be apart from Him, so too let us in His glorious resurrection feast and celebrate and be joyful that our Lord is risen and desire to never be apart from Him!
This is our hour. Christ Himself was telling us that we each have a choice, that this is our hour to move toward Christ or to reject Him. To suffer for His sake and glorify Him or to move away from Him and become what is opposite to Him.
God doesn’t need anything and we as His creation cannot give Him anything He needs. Yet because of His great love He has given to us free will. And through that we have a choice to turn to Him or to turn away from Him. Our Lord may not need anything but He greatly desires our hearts to be with Him.
Just as the sinner woman came and gave all that she had to Christ so we too are called not only within this week but for our whole lives to give everything we have unto Christ.
The Church in her wisdom provides us many readings for us to be reminded that this week we should be examining our hearts and asking ourselves this one question; are prepared to meet our Lord and be wedded to Him?
As we read from the Gospel of Luke of Christ calling us to walk along the narrow path and strive to enter into the narrow gate, let us all examine ourselves and ask; is my life permeated by Christ? This is what Passion Week is trying to instil within us and ultimately for us to constantly for the rest of our lives be striving for; that in everything we do we see Christ our Lord.
The first night of passion week is an opportunity for us to discover God, so that upon reaching the resurrection we can partake of Christ wholeheartedly. And when we discover Christ we don't begin to despise the things around us but rather find the beauty in all things.
Our Lord Jesus Christ has called us to imitate Him. Just as He came riding on a donkey into Jerusalem, showing great humility we too are called to great levels of humility!

Just like the man who had an infirmity for many years, we too weighed down by our many sins and passions are in desperate need of Christ to make us well. Though our Lord is always willing to heal us we also are called to synergise with Him in order to be healed.
Lent is a time for us to wake from the dream-like state we exist in. It is a time for us to go inward as the prodigal son did in his repentance and to discover the mercy, forgiveness and love of God.
As we are well and truly within the Lenten Fast, we can take comfort, help and guidance from the temptations of Christ and how we must cleave unto Him amidst our own temptations. So that by God's grace we may emerge victorious and come closer to our Lord.
What is it that Christ truly wants? Is it not our hearts? Let us then offer ourselves unto our Lord as He already offers Himself to us through His most holy Body and sacred Blood.
Throughout our lives we inevitably fall to the wayside, are distracted and fail to seek and glorify our Lord. Though, just as St. Mary and St. Joseph sought Christ anxiously, let us also seek Him anxiously, without delay, straining with all our might toward the Author and Perfecter of our faith that we may be made whole.
As we recognise was stage we are in let us then move closer to Christ by not only thanking Him for the physical but to desire the spiritual and eternal as well!
Let us all learn from St. John the Forerunner, of his great humility and of how he gives all glory to God. In our lives we can always point everything back to God or we can acclaim the accolade for ourselves.
The Church offers us so much richness and through it we are led to Christ. We are called to partake of the life in the Church but more than that we are called to hear the Word of God and keep it.
Whenever we hear the whisper of God to flee, let us not delay! Tune in as Fr Dan gives us guidance on listening and obeying the voice of God.
God is found within the insignificant things in life. Within the simplicity of daily acts that bring us closer to Him. As we celebrate the Feast of the Nativity, let us remember the beauty that our Lord has brought to us by being born in a way that is exemplary of how to live our lives.
Fr Sam reminds us of the true Christmas message amidst all the lights and decorations of this most joyous season. May God help us all to have Christ birthed within our hearts.
As we draw near to the Incarnation of our Lord let us take the example of St Mary who bore our Saviour of her great humility and how Christ was not only born from her but also was birthed within her heart.
Silence… the key that unlocks the ability to perceive God’s presence. Fr Daniel speaks about how in today’s world we are constantly drowning out the presence of God with noise and distraction. But what would happen if we removed these noises and were silent?
Just as the rich young ruler went away sad because he couldn’t give up his riches so too many times we cannot give up the cares of this world to seek our Lord and Saviour. Though Christ promises us that if we forsake all and pick up our cross for His sake then we shall receive a great reward both now and in the age to come.
Our Lord Jesus Christ freely gives Himself to all, to those of us who want to receive Him and to those of us who don’t. The parable of the shower encourages and reminds us to always prepare the soil of our hearts so that we would receive our Lord, the Word of God readily and bring forth a crop some a hundredfold, some sixty and some thirty.
The parable of the sower is a beautiful reminder for us all to examine our hearts and to do all we can with God’s grace to make our hearts into the good soil that will receive the seed with rejoicing, yielding an abundant crop!
Our outlook on life is not determined by optimism but rather in a living hope that never fades. One that looks toward Christ and for the age to come. David Nada enlightens us to always have hope in God and to give thanks on every occasion.
How easy it is to look externally rather than to face internally and confront ourselves. To slowly uncover and discover how truly deep sin runs within us. And yet eternity allies at the core underneath all of the filth. Fr Sam encourages us to look internally and to slowly through God’s grace purify ourselves so that Christ may come and make a home in our hearts.
What is our response when we stand before God? Is it one of reverence or one of distraction and lack of repentance? Fr Daniel implores us through the Gospel reading to examine our hearts when we are before our Lord.

Sunday's gospel was taken from Mark 3:22-35. In it, our Lord was surrounded by the scribes and his relatives. When speaking about the kingdom, even members of his own family thought that He was beside himself, and tried to seize him, to stop him. They were embarrassed by what He had to say. Matthew the tax collector, one of the most hated people at the time followed Jesus. He gave up his wealth and his own glory, and instead came and followed Jesus. Have you ever involuntarily said something you thought you shouldn't have? Today Jesus tells us how a tree is known by its fruit and that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Fr Dan explains that when we have no control of our tongue, it will show what abides in the heart. Christ teaches us to bear fruit and to give words that will lift others up, to comfort, to lift, to take away burdens, to bless. If we begin with what is within us, then the words that will come out of our mouths will overflow with goodness.
