Hello, my name is Tony Millward and welcome to the RockFace Podcast Introduction Episode. There are lots of podcasts out there that concentrate on prominent musicians and successful songwriters. And there's nothing wrong with that I listen to a lot of them myself, but there's a whole support system of highly skilled and creative professionals out there working on the rock face keeping the whole music industry machine rolling on. These people have stories which are often every bit as interesting as the big names we are all familiar with. And these are the people we're going to be talking to.

Hello, this is Tony Millward and welcome to another edition of the rock face podcast. This week I was lucky enough to talk to one of my all time music heroes, vocalist Mike Starrs.

In 1976 Mike featured as lead vocalist on Colosseum II's, now classic first album, Strange New Flesh and then went on to sing for German rock band Lucifers Friend.

Since then, he's been involved in numerous musical projects and continues to be actively singing, songwriting and collaborating to this day.

If you want to find out why he left Colosseum II, what he gave Rick Wakeman on his wedding night, how he upset David Lee Roth and why he turned down the chance to join rock band Rainbow keep on listening as I talk to Mike Starrs on the RockFace Podcast.

Please follows these links for some amazing footage of Mike.

Hello and welcome to the RockFace Podcast. My name is Tony Millward and I just spent the best part of an hour talking to professional musician and songwriter of 40 plus years Gary Roberts. And I learned what happened when he asked Ringo Starr's son and world class drummer Zak Starkey to join his band, how he and Denny Laine ended up drunk in the streets of Liverpool in the early hours before appearing on This Morning with Richard and Judy, and how the royalties for a theme tune he wrote for a show that ran on TV for over 10 years, went to a member of the Boomtown Rats.

If you want to learn about these stories and more, please listen as I chat to Gary Roberts on the RockFace Podcast.

And here are some useful links for you to find out more about Gary and Spinout UK:
