This episode of TGP Xtra is unusual because we crossover with our sibling podcast TGP NOMINAL. TGP Nominal was invited by The Department of Ability comic book creator Dan White to attend the the launch party for the comic at Hamleys Toy Store in Regent Street, London. We spoke to Dan himself, April from Strongbones Children's Charitable Trust & also we managed to catch a few words with Paralympics GB Golden Girl Hurricane Hannah Cockroft before she set off for Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
On this episode of TGP Xtra we catch up with friend of the show, Gareth Jones as he talks to Mark Taylor about projects he is currently involved with.
Mark Taylor is joined by John Berger (an American who watches The Eurovison Song Contest) to chat about the 61st edition of the contest and to try and pick who they think maybe contenders in 2016.
Yuri’s Night is a global celebration held annually on, or close to, April 12th. Commemorating both Yuri Gagarin becoming the first human to venture into space on April 12, 1961, and the inaugural launch of the first space shuttle (STS-1) on April 12, 1981.

In this episode of TGP Xtra, I bench test the Zoom H2N recorder, out in the field, by taking it for a walk. I also test the mobile phone sock that I wanted to use as a wind shield for the recorder. I am pretty pleased with the results, although the conditions were not all that windy.

The Fire Alarm went off again at 3:55pm on the 11/04/12 & took 75 minutes for a Britannia Security operative to silence it. I thought I would record my thoughts during this regular occurrence. Also I have included some recordings related to this that were originally Audioboos.
I decided to try out the Hi-Q MP3 recorder app on my Android by recording a walk into town with a little bit of insight about the Garden City.
I am pretty pleased with the results although it picks up wind noise.

Which my Cousin Steve Dowle & his Co-Driver Lennie Hardingham are taking part. Its journey starts on 26th December 2011 from London, where they will be making their way south towards Morocco, across the Atlas mountains, Western Sahara and Mauritania then head inland into Mali and onto the mysterious town of Timbuktu, all in a car that would get refused on scrapheap challange.
