It’s been over a year since recording this episode, and we’re so thankful to finally release it for our audience. We’re discussing the topic of submission and how all are called to walk this out in humility. Whether you’re a wife, daughter, employee, volunteer, or under any other governing authority, you are called and equipped to humbly submit to those God has placed above you. Christ, our ultimate example, demonstrated this humble submission as He subjected Himself to His Heavenly Father, as well as His earthy parents. He now calls us all to humble ourselves, submitting to one another as we submit to the Lord.

In this episode we discuss more of the second chapter of Colossians and our life in Him. Being buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him through faith, now we are made alive together with Him. We’re talking about our place in Him as His children, remembering that principalities and powers are under Him and have been disarmed by Him.

In this episode we begin our study through the book of Colossians. Desiring to encourage and equip your personal study of scripture, we touch briefly on types of biblical literature and some historical background information. Going through the first fourteen verses of Colossians, today we’ll narrow in on specific words and ideas, but also consider the larger picture of what the author is communicating to the saints of Colossae and to us today.
