"Breakdowns To Breakthroughs" "Mess To Message" "Let's Design Our Life Instead of Taking It By Default"
Codependence refers to a pattern of behavior in which a person prioritizes the needs of another person over their own needs, often to their own detriment. This can manifest in various ways, such as enabling the other person's harmful behavior, sacrificing one's own well-being for the other person, and feeling responsible for the other person's happiness or success.
Codependence is often associated with relationships involving addiction, but it can occur in any type of relationship where there is an imbalance of power or a lack of healthy boundaries. Codependent individuals may have low self-esteem, difficulty asserting themselves, and a tendency to avoid conflict.
Codependence can be addressed through therapy and developing healthy boundaries, self-care practices, and a sense of self-worth. It is important to recognize that codependence is not a healthy way of relating to others, and that prioritizing one's own well-being is essential for a fulfilling life.
J. Krishnamurti in his book Commentaries of Living Volume III talks about what is life all about and in-fact he takes the very question away from the querent ... his statement - “you must die to all the known for the unknown to be.” reverberates in my heart !

J. Krishnamurti questions us about the truth and asks us to find the difference between the moment’s truth and memory. In the beautiful book lying on my bedside - The Book of Life ... I found this deep inquiry that is the Way of true meditation.
A "mouse" was put at the top of a jar filled with grains. He was too happy to find so much of food around him. Now he doesn't need to run around searching for food and can happily lead his life.
As he enjoyed the grains, in few days time, he reached to the bottom of the jar. Now he is trapped and he cannot come out of it. He has to solely depend upon someone to put grains in the same jar for him to survive.
He may even not get the grain of his choice and he cannot choose either. If he has to live, he has to feed on whatever has been put into the jar.
Here are my top 4 lessons from this:
1) Short term pleasures can lead to long-term traps. 2) If things are coming easy and you are getting comfortable, you are getting trapped into survival mode. 3) When you are not using your skill, you are losing your skills. 4) If you don't take right Action at right time, you will finish what you have and will be in no position to come out. Get the heck out of the comfort zone now !

Are we designing our life ? If not , why not?
Hi! I am Shreeja Jhawar aka Shryja Komari Jhawar, inspired by the tremendous possibilities of life and infinite choices available to human beings. I was fascinated by the books of Vedanta and spirituality ever since my childhood,I started writing poetry before essays. I grew up in a close-knit nuclear family in Kolkata, I married young and now settled in the city of joy with my husband and son along with our extended family.
I was always drawn to the concept of Kaizen-improving every moment. However, I did get lost in my tweens and made foggy decisions but with the slip-ups came profound understandings.
The quote of Covey got stuck in my head, “Live life by design, not by default.” Even though I surrender to God and higher consciousness I believe we have ‘free-will‘ and only the power of Sankalpa-Intention can turn the wheel-of-our-life to take us where we want to be. Sometimes we women just need to drop the “good girl” label and intermittently also need to “adapt”.
Life isn’t a linear path, it is full of bumps and we just need to have control over the gears and know when to accelerate or when to a standstill but nevertheless take the steering wheel in our hands.
