If you were born in the early to mid 80s then you are who this podcast is for! The idea of turning 40 may feel a tad bit heavy, like you're officially old, but don't fret as we remind you; 40 is not old, it's the new young.

This week we have a light- hearted, fun discussion about ageing. At this stage of life I’m sure we can all agree that aging is inevitable, and the Peter Pan bubble has definitely been busted!! There are numerous statements and jokes made about a certain ethnic group aging backwards and often state to have the Benjamin Button gene … of course this is in gist because the bones and energy levels don’t lie even when your features look young!

According to the Office for National Statistics, 93% of adults in Great Britain have reported an increase in their cost of living between August-September 2022. Low-income households are spending a larger proportion than average on energy and food and are said to be more affected by price increases. So, we ask, has the cost of living changed you or are you still spending at the same rate as before?

We've seen a lot of talks about how millennials are responding to this, but we want to know has it affected how people are dating and establishing relationships, has it limited how you navigate financially?

Join the conversation and let us know how you are planning to navigate the challenging season ahead.

In recent years the average age of British women becoming mothers has risen to an all-time high of 30.7 years old (Office for National Statistics) with critiques citing that women are prioritising their careers over motherhood, then discovering too late that nature knows best when they struggle to conceive or carry a healthy baby.  Although 30 is hardly ancient in our view, we decided to discuss with our special guest Toyin (mother of two gorgeous boys) why her and her husband decided to wait and the benefits thereof of waiting.  If you are a mother or still waiting on 'the right time' join this conversation as we delve into the pros, cons and alternatives for women in this day and age.  If you enjoyed this episode subscribe to our podcast so you never miss an episode. The ladies discuss an age-old question in this episode of Coffee Morning Laughter: Can you ever fully know someone? We hear stories all the time of how people change in relationships and reveal new traits, which can sometimes unfortunately lead to tragic endings. Stories like after years of marriage a man suddenly "breaks" and kills his wife and family, or the quiet guy in the class suddenly demonstrates some psychotic behaviour. Today's episode certainly leaves you wondering, to some extent, if you can ever fully know someone? Just don't let your coffee go cold pondering over it!

We want to hear from you, please let us know if you or anyone you know has experienced anything like this and if you believe in love at first sight?

Whether it's girl code, guy code, honour amongst brothers or staying loyal to your sisters, there's an unspoken rule generally accepted by most that your friends' exe’s are explicitly off the table. 1. Do you think you its okay for your friend to date your ex?

  2. Is it okay for any of your friends to date your younger sibling?

Welcome to another episode of Coffee Morning Laughter, hope you've had a good couple of weeks.

In classic Shilz fashion we start off the episode with some very interesting trivia about Michelle's name and that of a famous RnB singer.

Trigger Warning! This week's episode contains conversations that may cause discomfort. The ladies go into the rather sticky subject, talking about the various circumstances that could lead to women lying about the paternity of their children.

Michelle opens up and gets personal about her experience of the subject. Please be advised that the conversation touches on topics that might be a trigger to some; listeners discretion is advised.

There are so many different reasons behind why some people do what they do, but the ladies point out the importance of knowing about the part of the individual that undeniably comes from the father's genetic contribution.

Always open to hearing the other side of the conversation, the ladies would like to know your thoughts and what you lovely listeners think about what situations warrant hiding the paternity of a child and what experiences you've had dealing with daddy issues! Please do reach out as the ladies also wish to provide what ever support they can to any of you that are dealing with this.

Shilz and Michelle are back with another funny, informative and timely conversation about Black History Month and Black Culture in Great Britain.

The ladies make a strong point about how little education is out there on British Black History and how they are contributing to changing that unfortunate narrative.

We also get to witness Shilz and Michelle clash over the relevance of Shilz’s American cousin “Beyonce” to this conversation and what her contributions have really been to Black African Culture.

The ladies also put the question to us all, "what are you doing for Black History Month and what would you like to see done for you?" Lastly the ladies also want to hear from you about any historical figures that you have learnt about that have influenced black British History so send those in and let's get to learning more during this month of celebration of Black History and Culture.

Good morning, and welcome to the very first episode of Coffee Morning Laughter.

Now everyone's up for a bit of good natured, quick witted banter, but things can go too far and it's important we know where the line is between some fun natured friendly ribbing and abuse?

Armed with some Coffee and some jokes the ladies discuss the very important distinction between having a laugh with your mates and potentially, significantly, hurting them.

At the end of the day the ladies come up with some great points that will help identify when the line is crossed and encourage you all to value yourselves enough to both acknowledge this and deal with it!
