Flat Earthers
The theory that the earth is a flat disc floating in the middle of a sea, with the North Pole in the middle and a huge ice edge acting as the southern boundary and outer circumference of the disc.
Hard to believe, but join Harpothehealer and RJ as they discuss and analyse this strange viewpoint, as held by a number of people, even today, despite all the scientific knowledge amassed over the centuries to disprove this idea.

The Olympic-class ocean liners were a trio of British liners built by Harland and Wolff shipyard for the white Star line Olympic 1911 Titanic 1912 and Britannic 1915.
This is followed by the concept of possible natural disasters, such as the planet being struck by an asteroid, and how the human race balances our advances in technology against pragmatic thought processes.
For instance, to save the human race, do we invest time and money in populating another planet in the solar system, ie flying to Mars, or do we avert a total natural disaster by asteroid impact, by flying a spacecraft into an asteroid to nudge its trajectory (The NASA DART mission). Which is the best approach...

Race to the South Pole - Captain Scott and Roald Amundsen - 110th Year Anniversary of the first
The year is 1911, and the race is on to reach the South Pole, and on December 14th 1911, Roald Amundsen reaches the South Pole first.
Harpothehealer and RJ discuss the epic and tragic story of Captain Scott and Roald Amundsen, both aiming to reach the South Pole first.
An in depth study by harpothehealer of the preparation for the expedition, the human psychology, and the pros and cons of each explorers specific approaches, to meet the epic challenge.

In June 2021, Harpothehealer and RJ discussed the fascinating D.B. Cooper 'sky-jacking' incident, which took place on 24th November 1971, on an internal short haul flight from Portland to Seattle, USA.
This year will be the 50th anniversary of the event. The FBI closed the case in 2016, with lack of evidence. However, there is still an insatiable appetite to resolve this audacious crime. The character D B Cooper has now become part of the American psyche, and represents more than just a simple unresolved airline sky-jacking.
With this in mind, harpothehealer digs even deeper into the psychology of D B Cooper, and puts forward his own analysis, based on 5 character traits, against 3 personality types, which he applies to 4 prime suspects.
You will be amazed by Harpo's laser sharp, direct, to-the-point dissection of the 4 suspects stories. Harpo logically eliminates suspects and their friends and families, seeking fame by association, in order to steer the listener to the only logical conclusion.

In this podcast Harpo and RJ discuss The Charge of the Light Brigade, known probably as one of the worst blunders in military history.
From the William Howard Russell reports to the Times Newspaper, Lord Tennysons famous poem, through to the deep analysis by Harpo, re-think the Battle of Balaklava, which occurred on the 25th October 1854, at 11am, and will forever by synonymous with The Charge of the Light Brigade.
Never in the history of British military history will there be a tale of super courage and heroism by the common man, fatally mixed with the foolish arrogance and unprofessional leadership by aristocratic commanders. It has to be heard to be believed.
