Welcome to the final part of our Easter devotional series. Today is a celebration! We celebrate Resurrection Sunday, the glorious day Jesus rose from the dead, conquering sin and death once and for all.
In the Gospel of John, we encounter a powerful moment between Jesus and Mary Magdalene. Mary was a woman who had earlier been healed by Jesus. Mary had spent much time with Jesus, traveling with Him and the disciples and supporting their ministry work. After Jesus' resurrection, Mary was weeping outside the empty tomb when she encountered two angels who asked her why she was crying.
As we celebrate Resurrection Sunday, let us remember that Jesus is alive. He has risen. Let’s listen for the Savior's voice today as we eagerly look for him. May we, like Mary, respond to the voice of our Savior with love, devotion, and unwavering faith. And may we proclaim this good news to others with joy announcing that we have seen the Lord.

Welcome and thank you for joining me for this special three-part Easter devotional series.
We are grateful you're taking the time during this holy season to pause and reflect with us as we explore some of the words of Jesus.
Today we are focused on Good Friday. This is the day we commemorate the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for us on the cross. According to the Gospel accounts, Jesus was arrested, beaten, and sentenced to death by crucifixion ordered by Pontius Pilate. Jesus was nailed to a cross at Calvary and suffered immensely before dying that afternoon.
If this is a day of remembering this tragic event, why then do we call it Good Friday? What was so good about our Savior dying? To answer that question, we can consider Jesus’ final words from the cross.
As we reflect on Jesus' words, we're reminded that His sacrifice on the cross was entirely sufficient for us. The penalty for our sin has been paid in full by the perfect Lamb of God. We need only to believe and accept this precious sacrifice as a gift from God. This Easter season, let’s approach this Good Friday with gratitude as we remember the sacrifice and the good that comes from it, the good news that our salvation has been achieved for us through Jesus. Let’s rest in the truth that it is finished.

I recently had the opportunity to speak at the Southern Florida District Church of the Nazarene annual district women’s retreat at the beautiful Lake Placid Camp and Conference Center. This year's theme was rest renew and return to serve. It was a much-needed time of fellowship, worship, and unhurried rest spent with God and my beautiful Jesus Sisters. The Holy Spirit was at work there among us and we were blessed to see the power of God's healing and restoration in so many remarkable ways.

Every day we are constantly inundated with information through our relationships, social media, and various news sources. This episode sheds light on how the Holy Spirit equips us to sift through this barrage of information and recognize the authentic truth amidst the noise.
Join us as we continue in Isaiah 11:1-3 and also unpack the promise found in James 1:5-8, where we're assured that if we ask for wisdom, God will generously without finding fault. Graduation season is upon us! In today's episode, we hear from Pastor Tom Parker, an old friend from high school. After 32 years God allowed our paths to cross once again. It's amazing to reconnect with friends from long ago to get a first hand look at the amazing things God can do in and through a person's life when they turn to Him. Tom has been in ministry for a number of years and is now the Area Director for Young Life in the Nort Port, Charlotte Harbor, Englewood area in Florida.
The traditional church youth ministry is built to reach the kids that show up to the church building. That certainly has a purpose and fills a need. Tom explains in this episode that his job in Young Life is to meet kids where they are. He has an amazing story of meeting with .... at an area mall where they feed kids a hot meal, offer them clothes and other items of need, listen to them, hang out and connect with them, and share the good news of Jesus! Their mission it to go after the kid furthest from God so they can reach all the kids in between along the way. They are chasing down teens to introduce them to Jesus!

Losing a child by any means and at any age is never an easy experience. In this episode, Shawnda Freer shares her story of how God drew her deeper into his hope after her daughter Meghan's death to suicide.
Shawnda clinged to what she knew to be true about God and to the hope she knew as Jesus Christ. Even in her grief and weeping, Shawnda offered her pain to God as her daily offering. She prayed that God would give her fruitful labor each day. Within the hope that anchored her, God planted a mission in Shawnda's heart to share the gospel around the world through a bracelet and wallet card ministry and to offer Biblical hope and and support to other bereaved mothers through a Christian reteat in northern Indiana.
