Thoughtful Ramblings, Michelle Rogers: Recent Episodes

Michelle Rogers

I am not a conventional "church" lady, but are you ready for this?? I don't think conventional, quiet and delicate is what God is looking for right now. I believe He wants people who are passionate, ballsy, and loud... check, check and check! The days on this Earth are literally a vapor, and I believe God is calling me to speak to you, yes you, about His love. My God has changed my heart, given me purpose, and a joy that overflows from a source that never runs dry. My story is laughter, heartbreak, and beauty that has emerged from the ashes. I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings, and I hope even more, that you get to meet the King os kings and He changes your life the way He did mine. Thank you Jesus.

Love, Michelle

There have been a few things in my life that have radically changed me for the better, when I began to follow Jesus, when I met my husband, and when I became a mother twice over. I recently got a chance to be on a panel with other mothers on this here Mother's Day. My pastor had sent me some questions to go over during our service, but I thought I would share them with you all. Not only are we going to go over the questions, I had enough time to answer them too, LOL.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings,

Love,

Michelle

In this episode Eric and I talk about what we are doing right now. I feel like this season the Lord is bringing more change, more new things, and an even greater leap of faith from us than ever before. We touch on the book of Matthew again, Matt 6, and how radical Jesus was and still is, still flipping those tables (IYKYK).

Anyways, it's pretty awesome how He moves everyday in our lives too. I love the Lord, He has changed my life in so many awesome ways. His promises are yes and amen, taste and see, if you seek you WILL find (that's a promise).

I love you guys and I am praying for you all, and I hope you enjoy, My Thoughtful Ramblings.

Love,

Michelle

There is a point in scripture where Pontius Pilate asked Jesus "what is truth?" I ponder this a lot, he was in politics, he did what was right in the eyes of government, but was it right in God's eyes? If government was anything like it is now, back then, I am sure that man was as far from "Truth" as a man could ever get. Truth, not feelings, facts! Truth! Not what we were indoctrinated to learn, but the actual truth. Who is to say what these "chem trails" are made of? What is really allowed and inside of our food? Our water? the curriculum? All of it, where is the truth? You see, with man, you get rabbit trails, and deception, with Jesus, you get the Truth, He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, Amen.

Anyways, here I go rambling again and I'm not even talking I'm typing. Hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings, Love, Michelle

Hi Y'all (how's a bout that for southern speak?),

In this episode Eric and I (well most ly me) go off on a ton of little rabbit trails, but admit it...that's what you love. We talk about Jesus and sermon on the mount, his most epic sermon, the most epic sermon ever to be sermoned. He was so revolutionary in everything, how He taught, how He submitted, how He loved, mind blowing, honestly mind blowing.

Anyways, we love having our morning cup of Joe with y'all, and each other. I love the Lord so much, it is so deep and beautiful I just hope and pray you all get to taste and see how good He is.

anyways, I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings, Love, Michelle

Man, I had fun making today's episode. Eric is back and we added a little caffeine to the festivities, which was nice. This episode mostly revolves around a Facebook encounter I recently had, ugh... I honestly don't understand people, but then I remember... this battle is not with flesh and blood, but with spiritual forces and powers. God's got this, just gotta hold onto that faith in Him.

So, whatever crummy things people may be doing or saying, we are instructed by our God to pray for them, so that is what I am going to do. I pray for all of y'all and we love ya awful.

Hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings,

While it was nice, man, it is so nice to be home. Loved being able to sit and have a little one on one sesh with y'all like I used to, but man, I love it even more with Eric in the hizzy, LOL. Gosh I sound like such a gangsta after being up there, wow.

In this episode Eric and I talk about some of our future endeavors, and how you can literally do anything as a ministry. The people at your job, maybe you work there to pray for them or give them an encouraging word? Maybe, you aren't even there for you? Mind blown as I type. Our time on this planet is a vapor, go out and do that thin that God has placed on your heart, it is there for a reason. Everyone who is great started somewhere. Anyways, Jesus started a worldwide revolution that has lasted 2 thousand years, that is crazy. Even people who don't follow Jesus have passionate views of Him, crazy right? Anyways, Eric and I talk about Jesus starting His ministry, after fasting and being tested. Hmmm, maybe a fast is in order.

Hope you enjoy our Thoughtful Ramblings,

Thank you for being a part of Thoughtful Ramblings for the past 2 years!

In this episode we talk about Matthew 4, Jesus just got baptized and is led out in the wilderness to be tested,. Jesus had to pass through all these crazy temptations, all while face to face with Satan. I can't even imagine, honestly. And think about it, how many people do we see in today's world, who have made eternal decisions for worldly position or posesssion?

Anyways, we also go on a hundred different rabbit trails, but honestly, isn't that part of the allure?

Love you guys awful, and thank you for listening to my Thoughtful Ramblings,

Love,

In this episode we talk about Matthew 3, when John the Baptist comes on the scene. I think Heaven was watching and cheering as he called out the pharisees and religious leaders for being snakes, so cool. That John was told by God, he would get to see the Messiah, and then... it's his cousin!

Of course we can barely ever have a conversation staying on the same topic for long, but admit it... that's what keeps you coming back, begging for more.

So, this week I had plans for this podcast, we were going to continue our journey in the book of Matthew, but I believe God had other plans for us and for you. My work life gets shaken up again, and I fully believe it is God orchestrating all of it. My work life, podcast, finances, have all been rattled this week, but God... For the first time in my life, instead of fear, I feel excited to see what God is going to do. I feel like He has been waiting for me to leap as soon as he began stirring things, especially in my work life.

Anyways, I fully trust Him is everything and I am kind of excited to see what He is going to do, since I jumped (He loves that) My God loves a bold faith, He loves when we are scared and do it anyways, He loves when we rely, trust and fully put our faith in Him, and wowzas, He not only loves it, He moves mightily through it.

I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings, Love, Michelle

In this episode we are getting deep into the book of Matthew. The literal New Testament Genesis, and it is so good. Not only did Christ come to bring us into everlasting, eternal life, but He came to bring us life and life more abundantly. Excuse me, I may need a minute while my head explodes over how amazing and insane that is.

One thing really jumped out at me while I spoke on the podcast, even to when I am typing now, and that is when the angel of the Lord, spoke to Joseph and told him to do something, it was immediately followed with, and Jospeh got up... Imagine the blessing in our own lives if we got up? Imagine the blessing by taking a leap? Putting yourself out there? I could go on and on, but, I digress (I have been using that word a lot lately, this is my 4th time today).

Anyways, I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings.

In this episode we continue talking about the book of Matthew a little bit more, we continue into chapter 2. The cool thing about the book of Matthew is you can almost picture Jesus reciting or Matthew taking intense notes and meticulous record of our Lord as he walked alongside Him. God is so good, He choses people the world would never, He moves in ways that our so high above ours, He is so good to us, and man, what He did for us... come on, He is just too good.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings this week and please let me know if I can pray for you, is you have any ideas for show topics, whatever... miss.shellrogers@gmail.com

In this episode Eric and I found ourselves being led to start sharing God's Word. I felt the Lord wanted me to speak about the book of Matthew for so many reasons. I feel like the Lord is shifting our podcast, just a little, to include more scripture, and more of us talking about it. There is a Bible scripture that says, "My people perish for lack of knowledge." Hosea 4:6. That is serious, that is ETERNITY, and that should be very concerning.

If you are on the fence about Jesus, if you would like prayer for anything, if you would like me to send you a Bible free of charge, email me at miss.shellrogers@gmail.com

In this episode Eric and I ramble on about all the crazy stuff going on in the world. Thank God He saved us years ago, I think the news and social media would send me over the edge, otherwise. God being the center, the anchor, is so good! I just want to scream it for all the world to hear. He really does change your life. Anyways, this episode is just us rambling on about anything and everything going on and how good our God is. Taste and see. <3 Hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings, love, Michelle

I was utterly exhausted when we recorded this. We had just gotten home late the night before and had a ton of errands to get done before hitting work today... OY. All in all, I think it was pretty good, LOL. I have put worse out there, that's for sure, LOL. Just messin'. We had a very nice visit to Massachusetts, family is amazing, food was great and of course... everything and anything that could go wrong, did. Honestly, this is where the Lord really spoke to me about being thankful in ALL things. Being back home, I felt like a stranger, not with my family so much, but it was if I did NOT belong there. There was a spiritual thickness, God was so hard to find in all the noise. I have never felt so assured I am exactly where I am supposed to be in my life. Anyways, I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings. Love, Michelle

I love when God speaks to me through His word. I mean the times when the word leaps off the page and into your heart, those times. Well, He spoke to me this week "do not despise the small beginnings" Whoo, get ready for something new! I believe it, God is on the move, not just in mine and Eric's lives, but yours!! You gotta do the work, you gotta put in the time and above all, you gotta pray and keep God in everything. That's the recipe, that's the key to riches that fill your soul more than anything ever could.

Hope you all enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings, Love, Michelle.

I wrestled with this a little bit, this episode pokes some fun at one of the most memorable, crazy, and fun people you'd ever meet. This episode has a lot to do with my aunt Pidgie and she has passed away, honestly I believe she would love this, but I would never want to upset her/my family. When the recording started for this episode, I just went there, and the more I think about it, the more I think Pidge would love to have another moment in the spotlight. Anyone who has ever met Pidgie has not forgotten her, that's for sure. She was a character at any place and time, I could tell you some stories... Christmas though, that was her jam, and growing up we would spend every Christmas Eve at her home. What was once something I dreaded, is now one of my favorite Christmas memories.

I have a deep faith in God, His power, His might, His miracles, I believe He is alive and is doing things in the earth right now. . So this story in the book of Numbers (Numb:22:21-28) is very easy for me to believe, and picture in my mind. There is one portion of the story that stated that a donkey spoke and asked his master why he was beating him, you'll have to read it, I am not going to type the whole thing out. Anyways, this guy on Facebook, I used to. be friends with years ago is (what I felt) trying to belittle me for believing this. Well... sometimes I don't know what comes over me and I respond to these things, what are ya gonna do?

Anyways, I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings

Hey everyone, hope you had a great Thanksgiving, Eric and I did. Much different this year for a lot of reasons, but no matter how bad the stuffing came out, the day was nice. I just love to take a minute to pause and reflect on the blessings I have, and this year made it more clear than ever, that family and people in your life are the best blessing.

Even the crummy stuff that can hit you in life, after it is over... you are different, more discerning, wiser and overall better. Come on, isn't that something to be thankful for? Man, I serve a good good God <3

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving 2023 and thank you for listening to my Thoughtful Ramblings.

Right after God created man, He realized it would be tough for him to go through life alone, so God made man a suitable helper. Some might look down on that as being subservient, or woman's lib would tell you, that you only help yourself, but that isn't how things were designed. God's way is always better.

As a matter of fact, God Himself is our helper (insert mind blowing noise). Jehovah Ezer is one of the names of God, it means my God my helper... I can't even... The God who created Heaven, Earth and all that resides in them, is your helper?? Doesn't seem like such a subservient title now, does it? If anything it sounds divine.

Hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings.

God bends His ear to us?? Come on?!? How incredible are just those 6 words? His Word is alive and is the foundation I want my life built on. This world is getting stranger and darker by the minute, but time spent with God brings everything into this awesome perspective. I spend my favorite moments every day with God, I love how our relationship deepens, He listens, He speaks, and He loves me. I feel so grounded when I get that time with Him and I feel like I know Him a little more everyday, even if I am the one doing most of the talking. The more you seek to find Him, the more He shows up.

I don't like to force my beliefs on people, but I can't believe how good He is. I want nothing more than for His children to be awakened to Him. So try it, what the heck? put down your phone, read a little bible, and talk to your Heavenly Father. It is the most precious, beneficial, sweet time of my day. God is so good. <3

What would life look like if you waitied on God before making a move? Before changing jobs? before getting married? Starting a family? Sometimes God moves quickly and things can change instantly, but often times he has us wait. Waiting produces fruit, patience. During the waiting, I usually find myself praying and seeking the Lord, maybe that's one of the reasons He has us wait along with producing patience?

Dont' get me wrong, I have had a lot of awesome things happen quickly in my life, getting married and starting a family happened very fast for us, but what if I waited or sought the Lord when it came to my careers? What if I waited on Him when it came to going back to school, maybe my loans wouldn't be as huge as they are? I don't know what my past would have looked like if I waited a little bit on some major decisions, but I know in my future, I am going to wait on Him! His ways are higher, His plans are better and I know He has plans for me, and I want His plans for me and my life.

Well... I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings.

I have read through the Bible a few times, and I think I only saw the Lord Jesus curse something one time. Jesus approached a fig tree, seeing no fruit on it, He cursed the tree and it withered and died. Yikes, I know this isn't in His word unless it was important. A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree, bad fruit. What does it look like? Your kids, the seeds you plant in peoples lives, your prayer life... The word says remain in Him, He is the vine and we are the branches, the branches that bear fruit as long as we remain in Him, WOW!!

God also wants our first fruits, He wants us to love the giver more than the gift. By putting Him first in your life, things change, fruit appears, good fruit, big beautiful God sized fruit, delicious.

Trust in Him, remain in Him and you won't be able to help bearing fruit, Wicked Good Fruit!

Hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings.

For the last week we had the long awaited visit from our little girl, we have been on pins and needles waiting to see this kid and the time finally arrived. Wouldn't you know, that is the exact time COVID decided to visit as well. Seems like everyone decided to visit this week, Israel got visited by a terror group and my job got visited by a large company lay-off, whew... So much crammed into one wee, OY!!

Although we were both a little under the weather during the recording, we sure had fun getting back in the saddle and getting to talk with y'all again.

Thank you so much for listening and I hope you enjoy my, Thoughtful Ramblings.

The full moon always seems to bring out the in crazy in people, I have to admit, it brings out mine, LOL. Full moons are also an occasion that is used for all sorts of witchcraft rituals. Sure there are the fires burning with people dancing around them naked in the woods, but I'm talking about the rituals that society supports and defends. I'm talking about charging crystals, and water, to use spiritually, reiki angel communication, things like that. Witchcraft is so accepted in society, people will get upset if you call it what it is, demonic. Honestly, with having practiced those things in my past, I know, and Eric knows, and my kids know, praise God. It is extremely deceptive and comes in disguised as light, and we need to be on guard.

Humans need to worship something, if they don't have God, they have a God sized hole. That hole needs to get filled but nothing outside of God alone can fill it, not money, not sexual conquests, not family, and certainly not messing with demons.

OOOeeeee, this was a good one, y'all (been workin on my southern talk). Anyways, I hope you all Enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings, especially you, God.

In this episode Eric and I touch on some spiritual encounters from our past. I wanted to ee what the Bible had to say about all of that and it says a LOT. I have not always known Jesus or walked with Him, I grew up catholic and had NO relationship of true knowledge of our Lord God, but I experienced spiritual activity in my life very actively since I can remember. Of course, we have a great time talking and hanging out with all of you in the process.

I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings and I hope it blesses my God and King Jesus, most of all.

Since Eric and I have been living in S.C. we haven't had many visitors stop by the house, well...not human visitors. We've had a couple fluffy, feather friends come to us. I almost feel like they know we will help them, like God put them in our path. My whole life changed when the most unexpected guest, I ever expected came into my life. Goes to show you, being open and joyful in all things makes life pretty great.

I never saw myself feeding a vulture chicken broth nursing him back to health, but there I was. Goes to show ya, God can do just about anything in anyone who has a willing heart to love Him. I never thought I'd be buying extra cat food in these times of Biden size inflation, but there I was, there I am, LOL.

God was truly the most unexpected, miraculous, glorious, beautiful guest I could have ever imagined would knock on my door, bu, yup, and my life has never been the same, thank God. Hope you enjoy my thoughtful Ramblings, love, Michelle

Eric and I tried something new this week, we took the podcast outside.  While we usually only have to worry about our dogs and cats interrupting, this time, in addition to our normal fuzzy guests, we added in some feathery ones, as our chickens were making themselves heard.  But the cherry on top, the unplanned, sexcapades of our local squirrel friends.  They definitely made themselves known, honestly I was so distracted, but it was one of the funniest interruptions I have ever had.  I almost wonder if God planned that...

Although our podcast was about being in a bad mood or mindset as a Christian (which I was when we first began recording) God decided He wanted more joy, I guess.  Because listening back.on this episode was hysterical and reminded me, not to take things so serious.  Sometimes I need that reminder and I am so thankful for this one.

I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings, Love Michelle

We've all heard that old saying, it is better to give than to receive... I don't always think I believed that, but man... I do now.  For instance when I was young my lottery dream was very self serving, houses, travel, cars... as an adult, my lottery dream is blessing others at Walmart, grocery stores, and people in the street. .  When I was a kid, I would imagine what I would get for Christmas, and as an adult, I imagine the faces of my family opening gifts I picked out for them.  I love giving, but I never thought I would love it more than receiving, and here I am.  Eric and I had a great time reliving some awesome God sized giving moments in our lives,   and of course, all those wonderful little rabbit trails you've all come to love.  Hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings.  Love, Michelle

God is so amazing to me, He is in everything good, even when we think we are walking alone, He is with us.  I can see my life so clearly before I met Him and He was there.  I remember the quiet moments, I remember what dangerous situations I found myself in and always seemed to be takin out of unscathed (well...most of the time).

Even talking about my memories about something as obscure as mixed tapes, it isn't just a piece of plastic.  Those painstaking hours in front of the radio with your fingers ready to lurch on record and play .  Life was so much simpler, people were more tolerant and neighborly, I honestly feel so much has regressed since everything went digital, especially music.

We would go to the record store, buy what we wanted and then we'd be able to see these epic performers for $20.  We weren't glued to our phones, we were enjoying life, Praise God!!  I am so thankful to be able to have lived in that time and this time too, every day is a gift, be thankful and get up!!

I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings

In this episode, Eric and I  discuss the things we  struggle with daily, the things I think we all struggle with daily.  Running late, traffic, people that may not go about something the same way you would.  It can be so easy to get distracted, to get our eyes off the Lord, and our eyes fixed on whatever crummy little circumstance that may come your way.  You know...if Satan has something that he knows will make you lose your cheese, he will use it as much as possible, why waste times on trying new things if he knows, traffic will make you curse your neighbor.  Yes, that same neighbor we are called to love as ourselves, ouch.  Anyways, thank you, Jesus, there is always hope in You, and. you never leave or forsake us, even if we think there is no way, He is the way.  He is also the truth and the life!  I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings,

Love,

MICHELLE

Let's face it, people hurt people, not always intentional, but hurt happens.  Hurt has a bit more of a sting when the do-er is a Christian (at least in my eyes).  You feel like the people who know the Lord should know better, period.  But the fact of the matter is, people are people, and I have forgiven ALL of them, trusting people again... now, that's a different story.  I felt like the Lord wanted me to begin with kids, with VBS (Vacation Bible School, with this new season upon us.

I have to admit, it was really tough moving in this thing, I felt super awkward, I didn't know a soul, and I did not want to be there at first, but God...  Wow!, by the end of the week, it was like a whole new thing began inside of me, this urge to serve more, to do more, to pursue purpose, but mostly God.

I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings,

Love, Michelle

Maybe you can relate to being far from God, maybe you aren't that far off at all, but you feel like you are.  You are never too far gone for God, your sins are never bigger than God's love, and ALL of Heaven rejoices when one sinner turns to Him.  Just think that one little moment of humbling yourself and turning back to God can literally change the entire trajectory of your life.

I used to be afraid to approach the Lord, I felt that all my sins and imperfections were all that God would see.  I felt that, why would someone so perfect and Holy want me?  I felt that I would never be good enough.  Good news, I don't have to be good enough, because Jesus is good enough, and ALL my faith is in Him.

I hope you enjoy this episode, I hope you get something out of it, and above all... I hope you get to know the forgiving, beautiful, perfect love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Eric and I have a tendency to go on many different, hysterically enjoyable rabbit holes, even more so in this episode, LOL.  Our time with the Lord is everything both individually and together.  Our friendship is the most precious thing God has blessed me with, and I think that's why it works so well.  We laugh, we communicate, and at the center, we love Jesus!  I honestly think that's the whole reason it has worked and continues to.  God pours out His grace on us daily, and He begins to enable you through His Spirit to pour that out on our partners as well as ourselves.

P.S. If I haven't said it before, thank you for having Grace with me as I navigate this whole working full-time and hosting a podcast lifestyle.

My husband Eric and I sit and talk about our conversations with God have been like recently.   Sometimes you hear nothing, a whisper, or sometimes... He will use everything and anything to get your attention.  Man, I've been sleeping on this podcast thing, it's time for me to wake the heck up, before God decides to move onto someone who will follow through, yikes that's harsh.  Truth is harsh sometimes, but wouldn't you rather have a dose of harsh truth than a beautiful lie?  Oh man, that was poetic.  Anywhoo, I hope you enjoy Eric and I rambling on todays episode of thoughtful ramblings.

Awake oh sleeper!!  I believe that is the word the Lord wants me to share.  He brought me this word in a dream, I feel I must disclose, I am not "schooled". but, I don't think that's who God is looking for, I also believe that's why He chose to give me that dream.  He is awakening something in me, a boldness to proclaim His goodness, and His mercy, and His return.

Here's the deal, everyone will have to stand before God when we die.and in a sense, He will be coming back sooner than not for some over others, but I also believe He is coming back in the global "Biblical" sense.  I am so honored that He would choose me, and speak such a word to me, I feel it would be dishonoring if I didn't share it.

I love you guys and I hope this hits you the way it did me.  "Awake oh sleeper". in Jesus name!

For the past month I have slipped into a funk, a funk of mass proportions.  A funk that is so funky funky, it could only take God to pull you (actually me) out of.  It's hard to talk about, it's embarrassing, especially when you are the type of person that wants everyone to think you got it all together.  Well...I DONT!  I believe the Lord wanted me to touch on this, because I am not the only one.  Its funny how easy it is to forget who we are, or should I say, who I am.  Well... Thankful the Great I AM doesn't give up on me.  Hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings.  Love Michelle

Hey y'all, in this episode I talk about a question I posed on my Facebook page, "Who do you say, Jesus is?"

I know you wouldn't think a question like that on Facebook would stir people up, but it did.

As I sit here reflecting on this, I wonder how differently people would have answered this question if they were face to face with me??

Anywho... I hope you enjoy listening to my Thoughtful Ramblings,

Love, Michelle

Hey Y'all,

Holding up in an Airbnb while Eric trains at his job and we wait for closing. I never really noticed how different I am compared to the overall vibe down here. This may take a little getting used to, I got some pretty strong New England roots, and people down here seem to think I have an accent... weird.

Anyways, its a quickie this week (that's what she said), I wanted to drop a little something as I transition into this new season.

Hope y'all enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings,

Love, Michelle

Hey Y'all,

You must be able to hear the accent morphing by now.  Eric and I left Rhode Island, but that really wasn't the hard part, cause I don't identify as a Rhode Islander, Mass hole, through and through.  Anyways, saying goodbyes to amazing people is hard, wicked hard, moving into something new is hard, but I am trusting in the Lord and super excited about what's to come.  He is so so good.

I hope you enjoy my thoughtful Ramblings in transit, it's been a challenge moving and doing all this stuff while keep this all going.  I appreciate y'all standing by me.

Well... We just got the official word that Eric got a new job.   When you live where your husband is employed, things can get a little wackier than normal.  A very hard, sad ending to an awesome season... It's going to be pretty tough to top that, but I have a feeling, God just might.

Vacation Mode is the flavor of this episode.  I am in fact drinking alcohol in this episode, so if that is going to offend you, LOL.  Just kidding, anyways, this episode is such a fun pointless, silly, and extremely unprofessional.

I hope you all love meeting my daughter in law, she is such a sweet, adorable, spicy little DIL.  I just love her awful!!

Anyways, Lots of stuff going on, especially unprofessional stuff, LOL.  Still working out some of those kinks.

Hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings,

Hey y'all, in this episode of thoughtful ramblings, we see the flip side of my daughter Sam's story, her mom's heart.

Road tripping was such a cool way to say goodbye and start something new, something scary, something awesome.

God loves when we live with big Faith, and man...that's what this kid's got.  Big moves of God, require us to move big, and move with even bigger faith.

Enjoy my thoughtful ramblings, love, Michelle

In this episode we catch up with my daughter, she got accepted to the school she was hoping for.  She is preparing to move to another state, and start a whole new thing, while hanging on the hem of His garment.  I love her faith, her excitement, and the awesome move of God in her life

I'm sick of being afraid of what people might think.  I should probably forewarn you all,I was a little ramped this particular day.  There may be an offense or two to be had.  I am at the point where I don't really care about offending, Dont get me wrong, I don't set out to offend, you really should know that, LOL.  I love you guys, no matter how you think or what you believe, Here's to hoping the same grace is extended to me, LOL.

With that being said, If Mason doesn't think any less of me, neither should you.

There is a lot going on, kinda all over the place, but if you know me, that's part of my charm.

Hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings,

So I posed a question on my personal Facebook page asking people why or why they did not go to church, and it was awesome.  Me and Sam discuss the responses and don't hold anything back.  Personally, I am so sick of people not being them true selves, from politics, to what I see on social media, and yes, even the church.

Any ways, Sam and I have a great talk, and a great episode is on the way.

Thanks a lot for listening, to my Thoughtful Ramblings,

The funny thing about my dad, is almost everything.  No, but seriously folks, he is pretty great, and I'm super thankful I had a man like that in my life growing up.  I know it's not Father's Day or anything, but... this guy aint no ordinary father.

I think laughing has become one of the things I treasure doing most on this Earth.  Maybe that's one of the reasons I love my dad so much.  Anyways, I hope you enjoy the antics of Bill Sullivan, aka: Uncle Bill, Papa, and Dad.

Thank you so much for listening, and hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings.

I sit down with and talk with Brittany Horridge  in this episode.

Brittany is so mature in the things of God, she is so sweet, and absolutely exemplifies what a Christian should reflect.  But what I love most about her, she is the real deal!! Funny, silly, adorable and a spiritual powerhouse,  Even though she is much younger than me, I look up to her,  I can't get over how mature she is in the things of God.  It is so refreshing talking to a young girl with such wisdom and light, who wants nothing more than to share the love of Jesus.

If there is anything you would ever want for your children, it's to have someone to go through this crazy life alongside.  Brittany has been a fixture in our homes and a permanent staple in our hearts since the minute we met this young lady.  I am so thankful, my daughter has had such a friend as this to do life with, especially when life isn' always wonderful.

I hope you enjoy this episode, meeting my little Brittany, and I hope you take something away from this that ends up staying with you for all eternity, the Love of God.

Enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings,

Love, Michelle

My daughter Sam.  There are so many cool people in this world, and to think God let me raise two of my favorites.  In this episode, I sit down with, Sam and we talk about all sorts of things (Hey, just like the song).  Sam is funny, sweet, talented, and driven, maybe she gets that from her father?  Anyways... She is such a light in this world, and in my humble opinion, that is the most precious asset you could ever possess.

Hope you enjoy my, Thoughtful Ramblings.

I thank God so much for this man, there isn't anybody that knows this much about me and is still around, other than Jesus.

My husband Eric and I are about to celebrate our 25 year wedding anniversary.  I am so thankful for the life we have gotter=n to build together.  On today's show, we talk about some of our best and worst times, moments that have shaped and defined our trajectories in life.  There is nobody else I would rather do this life with, nobody else I'd rather worship the Lord next to, nobody else in this world I love as much as my husband, Eric.

I hope you enjoy meeting Eric, and my Thoughtful Ramblings

God knows what he is doing!! Pastor Ed, is one of the funniest, kindest, most giving, energetic, crazy pastors I know, but besides that he is a friend.  When ed came over to record, we just sat, I didn't even look for my notes, we just talked and didn't stop  until we were getting the "cut" signals from Sam.  Good stuff, funny, insightful, he's wicked smart I tell ya.  Anyways, if you like the first one, you will probably like this one too.

Anywho,  I hope you enjoy  my Thoughtful Ramblings.

In this episode, we had so much fun laughing and telling stories we had no idea how much time had gone by.  Ed is such a great friend, and so much fun to sit and talk with.  Yes, it is true I have been born with the gift of gab, but so has, Ed and let me tell ya, he says some funny freakin things.

I love this life mostly because of the people I have gotten to meet and along the way.  I can't thank Ed enough for being on the show, yeah we got some great material, but it was so nice seeing him, one of those people who is good for the soul, ya know.

A mentor, pastor and friend  to my kids, a friend and pastor to me and my husband, Ed Pichette, you  are the real deal!

Hope you all enjoy listening to my Thoughtful Ramblings,

Love, Michelle

.  I talk a lot about my family in this podcast, so it only seems fitting that you get to meet them all.  In this episode you get to meet a giant piece of my heart, my son Eric.  It's so cool to have our relationship shift in such a way, that he doesn't need me to guide his every move, pick up after him, and praise God not buy his groceries anymore (That kid can eat).

I never understood how good God could be to me through these kids, our relationships and the amazing moments Ive had the privilege of walking with them through.  How blessed am I?  Wicked blessed!!  Praise God!!

This episode is the first one I intend on listening to, I sure hope he doesn't embarrass me, lol.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings

Hey all,

This episode the Rogers family begins to move forward again.  The church we ended up at, was like a hospital for our broken hearted family.  I was so afraid to open myself up to people again, people suck sometimes.  But, I knew we had to, and we got the awesome privilege of doing it together.

Side note,

If you have any questions, or need advice or whatever, prayer perhaps?  You can hit up my website mrsrogers.net

Still a work in progress, but I am moving in the right direction.

Thanks for listening to my Thoughtful Ramblings,

Hey Guys,

So in this episode, I touch on some tough times.  We were hurt by people we loved, and people that should've (in my humble opinion "known better")  I struggled writing this and speaking on this topic, because I didn't want to stir up any hard feelings regarding the matter, but ya know what??  It Is MY TRUTH, and I believe the Lord wants to use it.

Anyways, forgiveness is so powerful and so healing as me and my husband are finally free from all the hurt, maybe that's the real message?  Well, whatever it is, my story, His glory.

Hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings,

Love, Michelle

Of course we all have our "I am thankful for" lists.  Most of our lists are comprised of the same sterile nouns, family, friends, job, house, etc... But, (and it's a big but, lol) as the years trample on by, and as I reflect on my life, it really is all about giving.  Sure, birthday and Holiday gifts are a great example, watching the people you love open something you you bought to hopefully bless them with.  Honestly, as a mom, that is one of my favorite things even now, with my grown kids.

But what if you were able to give someone tomorrow, maybe even the next few years???  It is humbling, amazing, and what I felt I was called to do, and I can't imagine being more blessed by it.   Thank you Lord, for putting this on my heart.  Thank you, God, for making this part of my story, thank you Jesus for the amazing gift of being able to hear your voice and the boldness to move in whatever you ask.

We were on a path to a new life, we just didn't realize how many different directions we would be getting pulled in.  Dont get me wrong, serving is awesome, as long as you STAY IN YOUR LANE.  God doesn't want people to get burnt out doing His work, as a matter of fact, His work should be feeidng your should and edifying to your bones.  Sometimes it just takes people a minute to figure it all out.  It took me and my family about eight years to figure it out.

Me and my friend Gloria were tight, but when I met the Lord everything changed and changed quickly.  One change that I don't know if I'll ever truly get over is the loss of my friend, a big beautiful piece of my heart.

Sometimes we have to make decisions, we have to decide where to focus our time our energy, our everything.  When I became a Christian my life shifted, it went from self and friends as my main focus to God and family, unfortunately my best friend at the time got very very hurt by that.

I don't regret the decision I made at that time, my faith and my family are everything to me, I just wish she could be in my life to enjoy it all.  I hope you enjoy my thoughtful ramblings.

God gives everyone gifts, some can sing or play music.  Some people have a gifting of leadership or the ability to organize or take care of kids, whatever it looks like, everyone has something.   Sometimes you don't know what your gifts are right away and you have to dig a little bit, other times your gifts, bubble right to the surface without having to try to find them at all.

I was given the beautiful gift, a gift of dreams, and visions.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy listening to a few impactful moments some of which changed my life forever, amen!

I've had moment's when I've been in the wrong place at the wrong time.  I've also had moment's in which I was deliberate in my actions.  I guess my ugly being exposed is a way for others to know they aren't alone in feeling unworthy.  But I have amazing news, He chooses the unworthy, He loves the unloveable, and He uses the misfit.  Praise God for the misfits!!

My son Eric, is one of the funniest, most sarcastic, and charismatic people I know. I look back on the past 22 years with one of my very favorite people. I am ridiculously proud of my children, and I'm thankful for this little moment in time to get to express what he means to me and some of my most treasured memories with him.

Have an amazing new year, Eric and the best birthday eval. Love you like a rock.

Honestly, when I think about the time with my son being colic now, I think of those moments that it was only me and him.  Those moments he was in pain, and crying and could only be consoled by me.  I can't help but feel so much love for my son.  Those moments he doesn't remember, but I believe bonded us like nothing else could have.

I think my greatest accomplishments in life are those amazing children God blessed us with.  Eric and I didn't get it all right, we made so many mistakes along the way, but God...

Hearing that your baby could die, when she is all you are looking forward to are tough words to hear.  Those same words can be the most amazing testimonies for God when they are proven wrong.

Eric and I went from, dating to full blown family in a little over a year.  Our beginning is such a picture as to what our entire marriage would end up looking like.

Hard things are what define us and make us the people we are, and I praise you, God for the hard things.

I met Eric through a very tumultuous time in my relationship with Johnny.  Johnny began to show these warning signs I chose to over look as being how much he cared for me.  He cared for me enough to threaten my life on multiple occasions, as well as obsessing and stalking me.

Meeting Eric during this storm of my life, was just what God knew I needed to get me to a safe harbor.  Dont get me wrong, we've had our share of crazy and heartbreaking times, but never any in which I didn't feel safe.

I hope you enjoy listening to my thoughtful ramblings, Michelle

I had two "real" boyfriends before I met my husband.  I wish I knew what God had for me, I wish I knew that I was worth waiting for.  The blessing on the back end is wisdom beyond measure, amazing that some of the toughest, worst things you go through, yield the biggest harvest of lessons.

Hi, I'm Michelle.  In this episode we will be answering some important questions.  Who?  Who is this lady?

Why is she talking? and lastly What the heck is this even about?

I literally just copied and pasted this from the summary.  I hope you enjoy my Thoughtful Ramblings.
