The"Forget Me Nots" podcast is musically focused on the past. Starting in the 90s and going way back. Dawn Marie, Ms. B., and Ali are friends who love music and wish to remain connected to the artist and songs that defined the past.
"The Year was 1976"...the crew lead by Ali aka "The Professor" take a look back at some of the songs released in 1976 the "The Bicentennial Year". While the year had significance to the country the music released that year was phenomenal. We talk about a new development in music, the rise of AI produced music. We have to thank Ms. Bee for this one!! We start off by adding a new member to the crew our youngster Broderick who will bring some new blood to the crew. The team spends a little time listening to Dawn's review of the new Country album from Beyonce. It's Dawn's turn and the subject is the venerable and beloved Luther Vandross (April 20,1951-July 1, 2005). We show our love for Luther through the songs and how they played a part in our early adulthood. But we talk about so much more, we talk about the remake of The Color Purple, we talk Tracy Chapman and the Grammys. We talk about the Kennedy Center Honors and a performance by Cynthia Erivo. The crew is back and Ali has the team focused on the life and work of one of R&B's greatest creators. Rod Temperton (Oct 9, 1949-Sept 25, 2016) was an English songwriter, producer, and musician. We know Quincy, Michael Jackson, and Heatwave but who else was blessed to work with him? Dawn calls out the group Tavares for a poor showing during a live concert but the story gets interesting as she talks about her trip home. Ali talks about Andre 3000's new work, Ms. Bee gets the MVP award for recording while battling a sinus infection.

The weather has changed and with that, comes "Wedding Season". In this episode, Dawn starts us off with a little talk about a surprise discovery from Silk Sonic, the "Dynamic Duo's" remake of the Confunction classic, "Love's Train" . The crew then sits down to talk about some of their favorite bands. The world is filled with lots of great bands way too many for a single episode so we pick two apiece to start. Dawn loves The Police and Heatwave. Ms. B. has the ever-popular band WAR and the world-famous Isley Brothers. Ali shares his love for Steely Dan and his love for Heatwave too. This will be the first but indeed not the last "Favorite Band" episode.
