On this week's episode of NCCC's "Sunday Messages Podcast" episode, Pastor Kevin Moore continues our new series called "Love Your Neighbor" with part three! In life we experience hurt, struggle and pain. The best way to relate to our neighbor's needs is to be open about our own pain and to be transparent in asking God to help heal you during your struggles, and in doing so, we draw closer to God, but it also allows us to draw closer to our neighbors and it helps us to understand what they are going through as we encourage and support them in their struggles. This week Pastor Kevin takes us through the "Four Steps to Healing" and what we need to do as Christ followers, in order to find that healing, and in doing so, help us, to help others find that same healing as well!

On this week's Sunday Message, Gran Roberts from our Teaching Team, shares a message on Zacchaeus from Luke 19:1-10. God calls us to make disciples who make disciples. It is easy to serve those we love, like and enjoy being around, but what about those that are considered "unlovable" and "too far gone" in life? We know that they too are able to be transformed into a person of faith, like that of the wee, little man named Zacchaeus. We talk about the source of his pain, his interaction and transformation involving Jesus, and Gran shares 3 different takeaways that we can use to help the Zacchaeus's in our lives, so that they too can know that they matter to Jesus and that he loves them too!

In Part Three, one of our "This Gen" Youth Ministry Leaders, McCaylen Croninger, challenges us the people of the church to say "YES!" to becoming a part of the vision and the efforts being created to take our kids & teen ministry efforts to the next level. He invites us to come along the side of parents within the church to help them, and commit to the parents of the church and their kids, to say "YES!" finding their role in this vision for our youth ministry efforts, and to help create a healthy environment where the church can invest in each other's children through our ministry efforts and partnerships, because it is not only vital, but because there is always a need for one more person on the team, and what better way to impact the kingdom of God, that through the kids of this generation, the future of the church! You too can make a difference by saying "YES!" to investing in and leading the children in the church, through our intentional actions, and commitment to serve them, and by making their faith a priority through how we invest in them by how we use our time, actions and words to invest in them personally, and in their faith...and in doing so, the future of the church!

This week, Pastor Kevin Moore brings you the next point point from our series, “7 Things You Should Know!” This point is “You’ve Been Called by God to Invite Others to Follow Jesus.” The greatest thing we need to know is what we need others to know…that Jesus is our savior and that he wants save our souls and give us salvation. However, it takes relationships with other Christians that are willing to share what He has done in their lives, and to introduce those we love to our savior, Jesus Christ! The greatest thing that we need to know is that we have a purpose and a mission - to share Jesus with everyone! Life isn’t about just living a happy life, but instead it’s about making disciples, that make disciples by witnessing and mentoring others and helping them receive the same joy and salvation through Christ that we have. Time’s a wasting! Go share and help build the kingdom!

This week, Pastor Kevin Moore brings you the next point point from our series, “7 Things You Should Know!” This point is “Burn the Ladder…Cross the Line” speaks to our drive, goals and Inspirations that keep us from God. Often these things distract us, and when we do reach them, we soon realize that we are left unfulfilled and never truly satisfied. God is asking us to cross a line that he has set before us. What does he want you to do? What line is it that you are afraid to cross? Have you taken the step to salvation? Maybe you are holding off on baptism for some reason? When we cross that line, there is a joy and freedom that comes upon you that no amount of “success” or how tall any ladder might be, God is always greater, and he always leaves us blessed and fulfilled that no amount of “success” can!

Often we make the process of creating disciples slot harder than it needs to be. It all begins with spending time with people and investing in them and seeing what they are passionate about and helping pass the baton onto them. As Christians we are Paul’s, looking for Timothy’s that can be Paul’s looking for Timothy’s in their lives. We are disciples, who should be in a constant state of making disciples that make disciples by helping them find their passions and spending time with them. Pastor Kevin explores how we “pass the baton” in this message.
