We believe God has an incredible story to tell through you. And we exist to help you step into that story. This is a weekly audio podcast by Storyline Christian Church. We meet digitally and in-person in Johnstown Colorado.
What you do, what you say, tells those around you something about Jesus. Good, bad, or otherwise. In this message we are going to look at how we can represent Jesus well by being ambassadors for Christ.
John 3:16 is one of the most famous verses in the entire Bible. And it also teaches us some powerful truth about the resurrection. In this message we are going to look at how we can live in light of Jesus' resurrection.
Here's the reality. We need grace AND truth. Grace sets us free and truth keeps us free. But most of us lean towards grace OR truth. The story of the woman caught in the act of adultery in John 8 teaches us that the best expression of love is found in the tension between grace and truth.
When we are in trouble we run. But that often has us running in the wrong direction. When we run towards Jesus we are not running for nothing. We are running towards freedom and forgiveness that comes only from him.
Most people allow the circumstances of their life to determine their level of contentment. But if we are honest, that doesn't always work out so well. Thankfully, the Bible teaches us a better way to live.
We are all chasing after something or someone in life. We are place our hope in something. The problem is most of the things we place our hope in let us down and leave us wanting more. In this message we are going to look at the things we hope for and how we can find a hope that won't disappoint.
It is estimated that 95% of the time we are thinking about ourselves. The reality is we are a self-centered people. And the Bible challenges us to think about ourselves less. Not to think less of ourselves, but to think about ourselves less.In Philippians 2 we are going to see how we can actually do that.
In Philippians 1 we see Paul describe the circumstances he finds himself in... And they aren't great. Yet despite that he says in Philippians 1:18 "Yes, and I will continue to rejoice." We tend to view fear as a negative thing, something to be avoided and dealt with. When we see phrases like "the fear of the Lord" in the Bible it can be confusing. How can a good and loving God be something to be feared? The problem is we have a faulty view of fear. In this message we are going to look at what it means to fear the Lord and why we should actually do it.
The Bible teaches us that all that we have was given to us by God. Are job is to steward it well. The reality is in our finances many are struggling and find ourselves a slave to what we have and desire. God has SO much more for us. The Parable Of The Wedding Feast teaches us that every single person is invited by God. But it's up to each of us to respond.

The Parable Of The Lost Sheep teaches us about the heart that God has for us. Many think that God is angry and wants to punish those who wander and make mistakes. But this parable challenges that narrative and shows us where God's heart truly is.
The Parable Of The Rich Man And Lazarus teaches that the good life isn't found when we get everything we want; when life centers around ourselves. That's a lie that culture teaches us. But Jesus shows us a different way, a better way to live.
The Parable Of The Sower teaches us some important principles about how we can grow our faith.

The Parable of The Prodigal Son challenges us to recognize that we are all lost and to come home.
This is an incredible story that Charles Dickens calls, “It is the finest short story ever written.” It will challenge and encourage you in your life and faith.
The Parable of The Good Samaritan challenges us to look at our lives and see if we are being a good neighbor.
Jesus told some fascinating stories that drive home some powerful truth. They are rich and life giving. And think they will help us understand Jesus and live out our faith in a more real way.
In this parable Jesus teaches how to do something most of us struggle with: forgiveness. The parable of the unforgiving servant is going to show us the extent to which God has forgiven us and how we can forgive those who have hurt us.
The Bible is full of stories of people who took risks and bet on God. They stepped out in faith when no one else would. And God did INCREDIBLE things through them. He can do the same today through you.
We often get caught up in what makes us comfortable rather than living in the calling that God has for us. In this message we are going to look at the Parable of the Talents and see how we can live in the calling that God has for us.
Jesus modeled a different way for us to live. His kingdom plays by a different set of rules. In Jesus' kingdom it's the last who shall be first. The path to greatness is through service. Jesus challenges us to place others over ourselves.

What story is your life telling?
