Getting Past Survivor

Hi! I’m Helen Brenner, a certified NLP in Hypnosis Trauma Healing Coach and former Mental Health Counselor.I lived through 8 years of childhood sexual abuse, was raped as a 7 year old (not my 8 year molester) and as a 19 year old, and experienced bullying by kids and teachers (the people who are supposed to build us up). I'm a divorcee and a widow. I've been on the roller coaster my whole life and I believe there's a place in our healing where we are no longer making choices by survivor default: We are making choices based on what we genuinely and authentically want in life. I refer to this place as "Getting Past Survivor." As I now live most of the time on the other side of survivor, my roller coaster has become enjoyable, even through my darkest moments. I share my experiences in healing and Getting Past Survivor. I talk about everything that has been impacted through my journey: Spirituality, guilt, shame, sex, relationships, money, learning, having children, being a child, being a sibling, having fun, aging, health. You name it, and it'll show up somewhere in my podcasts and blogs eventually! I'm a voice for the voiceless, standing with and for others who have experienced the unmentionable trauma that is sexual abuse! Professionally and Academically: I'm an International Coach Federation Certified Professional Coach specializing in Trauma Healing and former Mental Health Counselor. I hold a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Trauma and Crisis Counseling, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, 500+ hours of education and training in advanced forms of NLP in Hypnosis, Hypnosis, and Coaching.
