Canyon Drives and Chairlift Highs is an on-the-go podcast recorded and filmed entirely on location. In this series, Anna Kate and Justin explore conversation together as they drive through canyons, reflect on chairlifts, road trip, and drop each other off at the airport while having real, genuine conversations.
Everyone has those canyon drives with their friends, those Uber airport drives, random talks with strangers on chairlifts, and deep, thought-provoking discussions on road trips. Follow along as we discuss Utah, names, silence, relationships, seasons, and purpose.

Responsibility is a large part of our lives, from the first time we're allowed to help mom cook in the kitchen to getting our homework done in grade school and living on our own in college and beyond. Responsibility might seem like a big, loaded word for some people, and for others, it might come naturally. How are we responsible for our own actions in our lives? With responsibility comes discipline. How is each of us disciplined in our lives?
This episode is more complex in nature; it's deeper than the last few episodes. The goal of this episode is to invoke some thoughts into your own life about how you handle responsibility and discipline.

We finally got on a chairlift for an episode! In perhaps our favorite episode of the season, Anna Kate shares her quiet place, her silence, and how she defines the noise in her life. Justin also shares how he achieves a peaceful life, and how he navigates the noise in his life. Anna Kate starts our discussion in a wonderful way: "It's interesting, nobody really gets to choose their own name. You're given a name when you have no cognition to the fact that it is your name." This is totally true! Our parents give us our names, and sometimes they have a deeper meaning than we may realize. We discuss our own names and the perceived meanings behind each of our names.
