Una Buena Noticia is a bimonthly, multi-level Spanish learning podcast aimed at engaging listeners by chronicling the successes, breakthroughs, and triumphs of everyday Gringos and Latinos.
When he was young, Santos Tuz found himself speaking with his grandmother a lot, but not in Spanish. Coming from the region of Yucatán, they spoke the indigenous language of Maya. But as Santos soon found out, the language was disappearing; so he decided to do something about it.
Cuando era pequeño, Santos Tuz se encontraba hablando con su abuelita en muchas ocasiones, pero no en español. Provenientes de la región de Yucatán, hablaban el idioma indígena Maya. Pero Santos pronto cayó en la cuenta que la lengua estaba desapareciendo; así que decidió hacer algo al respecto.
