In today's episode we have my brother and lead guitar player for our band The Rangers, Dan Abell. We talk about the popular debate on Fender Vs Gibson, as well as various ups and downs you'll have in a band, but the ultimate joy of getting everything squared away!
In our podcast today, I will discuss how to improve stage performance for live shows with your band. A live show is how the fans come and interact with the artists they love, so putting on a killer show is something they'll remember forever, and strengthen that bond. Attire is a huge thing, whether it be boots, vests, fancy shirts and so on, it helps give your persona some character. Movement on stage is also huge, do what fits your band and make sure to have fun with the music, you wrote it for a reason.... Engage the crowd, get them into the music and tell them stories between songs, ask them how they're doing, if they are having a good a time, ect. Maybe get some cool stage props that fit with your band's vibe; lights, props, fog machines, and the like really help give any stage you play some serious character. No matter what it is, you don't want to just be standing up there being boring, get out there and kick some ass on stage!!
