He’s also the founder of the Valley Shakespeare Company and one of the founders of the professional Salem Repertory Theatre. David is headed to the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, in July to chair their theatre program. He leaves behind a legacy that few university theatre leaders can match. We also learn that he’s making a road trip of the journey back East with his wife, twin 6-year-old boys and two dogs. David will be long remembered and sorely missed, so join us for this in-depth interview.

Pentacle first staged Terra Nova last July, but the production was cut short when lead actor Chris Benham had emergency eye surgery. Benham has recovered and he and the other members of Pentacle’s original cast will return to play the final three performances as a special fundraiser for Pentacle Theatre.

The Secretaries, written by The Five Lesbian Brothers, features five actors playing numerous roles — from a cult leader to followers to unwary victims of feminine mayhem. It’s about office politics and back-stabbing coworkers taken to the max, all in the name of camp comedy and . . . chainsaws???
