The energy transition isn't coming—it's already here. But how fast is it actually moving? And what's slowing it down?
In this episode, I sit down with Ryan Driskell Tate, a historian and energy analyst who serves as Associate Director at Global Energy Monitor. We dig into the numbers: 40% of global electricity now comes from renewables and nuclear. Solar has grown from less than 1% in 2000 to nearly 9% today. Investment in clean energy is now double what's going into fossil fuels.
But it's not all good news. 740 million people still lack electricity access. AI and data centers are creating massive new demand. And legacy industries—coal, oil, gas—aren't disappearing overnight.
Topics covered:
Current state of the global energy transition
Why solar is scaling faster than any energy source in history
The role of batteries and storage in making renewables "24-hour fuel"
Nuclear energy: small modular reactors, public perception, and geopolitical ties
AI and data centers: friend or foe to the clean energy transition?
The real bottlenecks: financing, permitting, and supply chains
Pakistan's DIY solar boom and what it means for emerging markets
Why the status quo is now the most expensive option
The importance of open data in energy planning
Key stats mentioned:
(2024 record)
740 million people still lack electricity access, mostly in Sub-Saharan Africa
Double the investment is now going into renewables vs. fossil fuels
15 years ago: 150 proposed coal plants in the US → today: fewer than 5 in all of OECD
Solar went from less than 1% (2000) to ~9% of global electricity today
70 GW of nuclear under construction—highest in 30 years

In this episode, I speak with Dr. Daniel Cox — Professor of Counseling Psychology at the University of British Columbia and host of the Psychotherapy and Applied Psychology podcast — about the real mechanics behind helpful conversations.
What actually makes talking helpful? And how can we build better conversations in everyday life, not just therapy?
We talk about:
•what good therapy actually does (and doesn't do)
•why the relationship is more important than the treatment method
•how to tell when you've outgrown your therapist
•how to listen without solving
•why interrupting isn't always a bad thing
•how to help a friend who says "I'm fine" but clearly isn't
•what most suicide risk assessments get wrong•how conversation reveals clarity — not just catharsis
Whether you're someone who's been in therapy, thinking about starting, or just trying to be a better friend or partner — this conversation will shift how you think about the way we talk to each other.

In this episode, I talk with Dr. Tony Iezzi, clinical psychologist, professor, and co-author of Re-Enactments. We discuss how to break free of the invisible patterns that shape our lives. With over 35 years of trauma treatment experience, Dr. Iezzi helps us understand how seemingly small triggers (like being ignored or corrected) can activate deep-rooted emotional reactions tied to our earliest relationships.
We get into:
•what reenactments are, and how to spot them in real time
•why our reactions often have more to do with history than the moment
•how trauma can linger as themes like "incompetence," "worthlessness," or "lack of control"
•why talk therapy alone often isn't enough
•how to reparent yourself and reshape your inner voice
•how couples can start talking differently to break old cycles
We also talk about perfectionism, addiction, immigrant households, the myth of 10-step healing, and why learning to respond — not just react — is the true path to change.

In this episode, I talk with Dr. Christiane Schroeter — award-winning professor, TEDx speaker, and wellness coach — about how to create real momentum without burning out. Christiane’s background in health economics, branding, and behavioral science gives her a rare perspective on what makes goals actually stick.
We get into:
•how to recognize early signs of burnout before it crashes your life
•how to use “petite practices” to build habits without overwhelm
•why negative self-talk might be your biggest barrier
•how to think about selling (especially if you hate selling)
•branding tips that resonate with real people, not just algorithms
We also talk about self-compassion, pivots, and how even 5-minutes-a-day can change the entire arc of your life.

In this episode, I talk with Dr. Leah Kaylor, the FBI’s in-house expert on sleep and trauma. She’s a licensed clinical psychologist with a background in EMDR, brainspotting, psychopharmacology, and nightmare treatment — and she’s helped everyone from military veterans to elite law enforcement agents finally get real rest.
We cover:
• Why nightmares are actually treatable, and how to do it
• Why total darkness isn’t extreme — it’s essential
• What chronic sleep debt does to the body and brain
• How trauma, shift work, and stress can rewire your sleep cycles
• A better way to use (or stop using) melatonin, magnesium, and Benadryl
• Why hot chocolate can be stronger than you think
We also break down why your caffeine habits might be wrecking your sleep without you realizing it, and how even tiny changes — like sealing light gaps or shifting your wake-up routine — can stack into real sleep resuilts.
Leah’s new book, The Sleep Advantage, comes out October 1, 2025 — and trust me, it’s going to be a major tool for anyone who wants to sleep deeper, recover better, and live more clearly.

I've been fascinated by the concept of free wall for decades now. The ongoing debate if we have control over our own lives, or if we are simply giant walking meat sacks being taken from place to place, goal to goal, by our DNA, our biology, and our environment.
Today, I talk with Professor Kevin Mitchell, a geneticist and developmental neurobiologist at Trinity College Dublin. Kevin’s research sits right at the crossroads of biology, psychology, and philosophy — and if you’ve ever wondered whether you’re in charge of your own life or just acting out a pre-written script of DNA and experience, this conversation is for you.
We get into:
Kevin’s also the author of Innate and Free Agents, two books that explore the science of who we are and how we act in the world. I’ve rarely come across someone who makes complex neuroscience and genetics this clear — or this empowering.
If you’ve ever felt stuck or wondered whether change is really possible, this episode will challenge how you think about personality, decision-making, and what it means to live with intention.

In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Jason Del Gandio, a professor, philosopher, and the creator of 20 Minute Vibe. For more than 30 years, Jason has studied what he calls “the vibe”—that felt but often unexplained energy we pick up from people, places, art, music, even ourselves.
His doctoral work was the first academic study of “bodily emanation,” and today we unpack what that actually means in real life.
We talk about why the word vibe shows up everywhere (and how it got there), what gives a space or person “a vibe,” and why developing your sensitivity to this stuff can make your relationships deeper, your self-awareness sharper, and your bullshit radar stronger.
We also get into:
• How vibe differs from emotion, and why that matters • Whether dogs and babies are better vibe detectors than we are • Why “good vibes only” is a myth—and what to do with the uncomfortable ones • What makes someone’s vibe feel authentic (and why it’s magnetic) • How checking in with vibe might help you leave a job, a house, or a relationship that no longer fits • What it means to design a life that feels good—not just looks good I didn’t expect to take this word seriously when we started talking, but by the end… well, let’s just say Jason Trojan Horse’d the hell out of me. If you’ve ever felt something in your gut and didn’t know how to name it—this conversation might give you the language you were missing. ⸻ 🔗 Resources: • 20minutevibe.com – Jason’s essays, videos & courses • Jason on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/20minutevibe • Jason on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/@UCRMXu7GY2gPCHPgx2r-b-gQ KNOW MORE KNOW LESS PODCAST: For other platforms:

In this episode, I sit down with Shai Hipperson, a clinical psychologist and principal psychedelic-assisted therapist at the Conscious Mind Centre in Queensland, Australia. Shai is on the front lines of Australia’s groundbreaking move to legalize MDMA and psilocybin for treatment-resistant mental health conditions—and she brings a wealth of knowledge, caution, and clarity to the conversation.
We dive into how psychedelic therapy is practiced, what “integration” really means, and the very real risks of underground sessions that aren’t supported by clinical safety protocols. We also talk about ketamine use, dosing regulations, and why Australia’s strict screening process has, so far, resulted in zero adverse reactions.
I also open up about my own experiences—both positive and difficult—with MDMA and psilocybin, including how one MDMA session helped me mourn the loss of my grandparents and reshaped how I understand love. We explore why these treatments can be so profound—and why they should never be taken lightly.
Some themes we cover:
If you’re curious, skeptical, or cautiously hopeful about psychedelic therapy, this conversation doesn’t promise miracles—but it does offer insight, honesty, and some hard-won perspective.

Lately, it's starting to feel like more people I meet are starting to sign up for team hopeless. There's a climate crisis, a few wars waging, and the most powerful and influential country on earth is openly accepting bribes, pardoning white collar criminals and using the White House lawn as a used car sales lot. And oh yeah, we still have to pay our mortgages, feed ourselves, and figure out what that weird rash is. You're right, it's aaa lot.
But what I have in common with my guest Nick Cooney author of the book, "What We Don’t Do: Inaction in the Face of Suffering and the Drive to Do More" reframes modern ethics around the true cost of doing nothing.
Because the worst thing we can all do in the face of mounting issues... is nothing.
Nick Cooney is the Founder of Lever VC, a venture fund backing the next wave of sustainability innovators—from plant-based foods and fermentation-derived proteins to disease-detection software and precision animal genetics.
He’s also a seasoned nonprofit leader: founder of The Humane League, co-founder of the Good Food Institute, and today Board Chair of the Lever Foundation, a charity accelerating sustainable food supply chains across Asia.
Nick is someone focused on doing what he can to make tomorrow a better place. But today, we’ll explore why small choices can add up to massive change, how to do good without burning out, and what it means to shift from bystander to changemaker.

In 2024, the Attorney General of the United States declared loneliness an epidemic, something grave and important enough to the health of Americans to be elevated to national concern.
But this isn’t only an American problem, for years, we’ve been hearing about loneliness among men and how disconnected they’ve become from their friends and loved ones. I’ve seen and experienced this myself at different times through the years and believe nothing is as important for human flourishing as real connection.
Enter Dr. John Ogrodniczuk. To learn more about the loneliness crisis in men I wanted to speak with someone on the front lines, researching and fighting this epidemic head-on.
Dr. Ogrodniczuk is the Founder of HeadsUpGuys.org – which is a website focused on men’s mental health, suicide prevention and finding a therapist. He is also a Professor of Psychiatry at University of British Columbia and Director of the UBC Psychotherapy Program
In his role as Director, he oversees the operations of North America’s 2nd largest medically based psychotherapy training program. His research has been supported by various provincial and national funding bodies, and has led to more than 250 scientific publications.
Today, we dove into this mental health and loneliness crisis, why it seems to hit men harder, and what all of us can do to help ourselves and those we love.

I have been interviewing a lot of experts and entrepreneurs on the topic of boys and men recently. It has been inspiring and instructive to see people coming together to support the mental health of boys and men, creating safe spaces for self-exploration and community.
But sometimes, we all need space to disconnect from the demands of life and loved ones to reconnect with ourselves and re-evaluate what we need and how to break free from any potential limitations holding back our personal and professional lives.

I recently watched the film, It Ends With Us, based on the wildly popular novel by Colleen Hoover. Despite the controversy over the film's romcom adjacent marketing campaign the story is about intimate partner violence (IPV) and the evolution of an abusive relationship. While I enjoyed the film, it made me curious about the true statistics of abusive relationships, what the scientific literature says about those impacted most and if there are specific personality types who are more or less prone to entering such relationships. I was also curious how often men are affected by IPV and where they might go to seek help. Enter Dr. Don Dutton. Don has a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Toronto and is currently a Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of British Columbia. He spent fifteen years providing therapy for court-mandated men convicted of wife assault and developed a psychological model for perpetrators of intimate abuse. He has published over 100 papers and five books, including The Domestic Assault of Women (1995), The Batterer: A Psychological Profile(1995) and The Abusive Personality (2002). Dutton has frequently served as an expert witness in criminal and civil trials involving domestic abuse and family violence, including his work for the prosecution in the O.J. Simpson trial (1995). I recently talked to a friend about the hit show, White Lotus. Season 2 was particularly juicy and we focused on if one of the couples could ever repair their relationship after a potential betrayal. That convo went in so many directions I decided to speak with an expert about betrayal and forgiveness. Enter Dr. Bruce Chalmers Dr. Chalmer is a psychologist who has been working with couples for over thirty years. Through his teaching, consulting, and books, his ideas have helped thousands of couples and their therapists. Together with his wife Judy, Dr. Chalmer hosts the podcast “Couples Therapy in Seven Words.” He is the author of three books: Betrayal and Forgiveness: How to Navigate the Turmoil and Learn to Trust Again It is Not About Communication. Why everything you know about couples therapy is wrong Reigniting the Spark: Why Stable Couples Lose Intimacy, and How to Get It Back In today's episode, we discuss: --Understanding a partner's reluctance to go to therapy is crucial. --Success in therapy is not solely defined by couples staying together. --Most relationship problems are rooted in deeper emotional issues, not just communication. --Forgiveness is an internal process that can lead to emotional healing. --Trust must be rebuilt by both partners after betrayal. --Therapy can be likened to improv, requiring adaptability and openness. --Acceptance of reality is essential for personal growth and healing. --Forgiving oneself is the first step in the forgiveness process. --Recognizing that both partners are doing their best can foster understanding. Living inside as many different cities and cultures as I have, I think I've seen every relationship permutation there is. And what I've learned is that there is no right or wrong when it comes to love. There's only what's right and wrong for each couple, and usually even that changes over time. Confusing? You bet!
So I've decided to speak to someone who lives outside of society's black and white monogamy culture and found a lifestyle that works best for her and her husband. Lauren Hayes is relationship coach specializing in supporting ethically non-monogamous (ENM) couples, including swingers and the ENM-curious. She is trained in both life and relationship coaching, she helps couples navigate and engage the swinging and non-monogamous community in the healthiest of ways. Lauren believes that non-monogamous relationships share the same foundations of any healthy relationship, however, they need to operate at a higher level of health to accommodate the additional complexities. Her approach aims to help couples build their ideal relationship, regardless of how many others it includes. She also brings personal experience to her coaching having been married for 19+ years and ENM (swingers) for the last 5+ years. Lauren offers coaching and practical advice grounded in her own life as well as professional training - she goes by Swinging Lifestyle Coach and her website is SwingingLifestyleCoach.com.

As most men growing up watching bombastic American action films, I've always been fascinated by the Navy SEALs program. Not just for the missions and sacrifice, but also for their level of mental resilience. Marty Strong is no different. Having spent over 20 years in military service, both participating in and overseeing SEALs missions he has a perspective on life that has lead him to many different life paths after leaving the Navy. On today's episode we discussed his path, tales of SEAL training and mission reconnaissance, and how mental toughness helps in all aspects of life Marty is a Retired Navy SEAL officer, former UBS portfolio manager, and he is currently CEO of a middle market healthcare company. Marty serves on the boards of BEST Robotics, Inc., Metal Raptor, LLC, and is the President of BEST MindLab, a new for-profit entity owned by BEST Robotics, Inc. As if that wasn't enough to do, he is also a motivational speaker, and the author of nine published novels and three published business books. 'Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.' - Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore There's an important lesson I learned years ago that I haven't spoken about much on this show. It's the incredible support I've found whenever I tried to achieve anything. It didn't matter if it was a new sport, creative endeavours or entrepreneurship. There will always be unsupportive, peanut gallery, talk behind your back clowns at any stage in life, but in my experience there were always friends, family and strangers to lift me up and help me on my journey. Every. Single. Time. But it would've been impossible for me to find those people without starting the journey by myself, first. Tragically, that's always the hardest part. Enter Robert Hunt. Robert has become "The Accountability Guy" and he is the co-author of the book "Nobody Cares...until you do." He is a business owner in the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area and helps leaders remove the things that keep them from being their best. Across continents and age-ranges, it seems more and more people I know are either breaking up, getting divorced or strongly considering those options. The conversations I've had on this issue all had a foundation on how devastating and complicated it is to pull the trigger to make this decision. It seemed even with more extreme issue at play, the emotional equations are still complex. Thoughts like, "Maybe this is a phase", "What about our kids?", "I've never lived alone...", "Maybe this is just what marriage is!", "Do I deserve better than this?", and the most painful thought hurdle, "But I still really love them"
My heart breaks for anyone going through such an era of their lives, and all I know is that I don't have the answers. Enter Megan Bruneau. Megan and I had an amazing chat that went all over the place trying to dissect this topic, from our personal experiences, to Megan's approach in her therapy practice and how others suffering in moments of their relationship might be able to think about the issue more clearly.
Megan has been called the “Millennials’ therapist” by none other than Deepak Chopra and her no-nonsense, relatable approach has racked up over 30 million views. She has nearly 2 decades of providing crisis support, therapy and coaching and she’s been featured on Good Morning America and The T.D. Jakes Show. Megan’s expertise is backed by her personal journey through mental health challenges and heartbreaks and she aims to change the way all of us relate to our inner and outer worlds. I have always been fascinated by how and why someone enlists in military service, and even more so by hearing the details of logistics and interpersonal dynamics in missions and training. There are an uncountable number of books and movies on the topic, but getting one-on-one time with someone as experienced as my guest is a first for me and it did not disappoint. J.L. Hancock is the Former lead innovator for the U.S. Special Operations community, now turned thrilling fiction author of The Hawk Enigma. It was in 2002, when JL enlisted in the Navy and spent twenty years as a cryptologist. During his military service, Jim toiled in the dark corners of the government intelligence communities, learned two Asian languages, and eventually conducted over one hundred combat operations with special operations forces in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Philippines. Over the last six years of his career, JL worked as the senior enlisted advisor on future concepts and innovation for the Navy special operations community. He became a well-known subject matter expert in unmanned systems, 5G, and artificial intelligence.
Today we will dive into all things military intelligence, how robotics might end us all, the growing problem with political misinformation and how JL came up with the plot for his book.

I reached out to my guest a couple of months ago, because solar flares were in the news again. I became a little obsessed with solar flares about 10 years ago… to the point that I try not to think about them now because they freak me out.
So this was the perfect opportunity to dive deeper into something I know so little about.
Dr. Mojtaba Akhavan-Taftiis an Assistant Research Scientist at the University of Michigan, he’s also space scientist, inventor, and clean tech entrepreneur. He is the founder of Adaptable Powerful Transformative (APT) Solar Solutions, whose mission it is to unlock the power of the Sun by revolutionizing solar electricity generation and distribution. Mojtaba is also a space scientist, inventor and a part of the research faculty at the University of Michigan College of Engineering where he investigates the inner-workings of the Sun, Earth, and if that’s not enough, he teaches satellite mission design and analysis. That last one seems like a fake job title from the Simpsons!
Dr. Akhavan-Tafti was an amazing guest and I hope you enjoy all the knowledge he drops on me.

In the zeitgeist today there's a concept used in therapy communities called "showing up" as it pertains to your relationships and how you support those closest to you. But my guest, Marcy Axelrod, has elevated Showing Up into a way of being that will forever change your life. Marcy and I discuss how the act of showing up fully in our lives hands us the keys to a happier, more effective and balanced life. Marcy has been a keynote speaker for over 25 years. She's the award -winning author of On Your Game and her new book How We Choose To Show Up challenges all of us to live more intentionally. Marcy asks her clients and all of us: Do we just show up, barely show up, or do we truly show up, living our most decisive moments with thoughtful intent? Showing up is the invisible system all around us, connecting us to society, situations, ourselves, and each other. And drawing from psychology, neuroscience, and evolutionary biology, showing up is the crucial playbook for leading an impactful, high achieving life, while taking care of the world and each other.

We all have dreams and goals that live in our minds more then they live in the world. It doesn't matter if those dreams are to compete in an IronMan, to quit smoking, or to read a little more. We all have the desire and the motivation to accomplish these things, but tragically what we often lack is the follow-up, the execution of the daily tasks, big and small, that us to accomplishing those goals.
My guest, Dr. Emily Balcetis, wanted to know why that is. And in her research put herself in the role of guinea pig testing her ideas to successfully write her book and learning to play the drums, all while caring for her newborn!! Emily and I discuss why some people accomplish their goals, throwing away their cigarettes packs or putting on their running shoes while others continue to fall short? Today we dive straight into the science of turning dreams into reality. Emily Balcetis is an Associate Professor of Psychology and the director of the New York University, Social Perception, Action and Motivation research lab where she leads an international team of scholars, writers, artists, and advocates. In her research, Emily has uncovered previously unknown strategies that increase, sustain, and direct people's efforts to meet their goals. Her work has been supported by numerous national grants from the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health, and has also appeared in over 80 scientific publications. She is a two time TEDx speaker and author of the book Clearer Closer Better: How Successful People See the World.

This episode is definitely in my top 3 most meaningful conversations in the short history of KMKL. Few things leave an imprint more powerfully than speaking to someone with such a profound knowledge on a subject as well as a passion and dedication to help other. Dr. Bennett is one of those people. If you have been affected by suicide or love someone who has, you know the deep treadmarks of pain that experience of excruciating grief can leave on those left behind. What has come to light more publicly in recent years is the dramatic difference in the rate of suicide between genders. The range can be between 3 and 7 to 1 - men to women. Yet sadly, this news and the length of time it has been happening is leading some experts and researchers to acknowledge how much men are suffering, and how it appears much of society has decided to ignore their pain and deaths of despair as a price we are collectively willing to pay. Enter Dr. Susanna Bennett and the Suicidal Research Lab at the University of Glasgow. Through their research, they have discovered the deep pain and isolation that many men experience, as well as the barriers they face in seeking help both internally and externally. Susie has done studies synthesizing twenty years of male suicide research, explored help-seeking barriers for men, childhood challenges and developed an agenda of priorities for male suicide research. Her work has been supported by thousands of men worldwide sharing their insights and experiences. Our conversation explores the 3D risk model which includes denial, disconnection, and dysregulation in the psychological domains of emotions, thoughts and feelings of self, and connections with others. Susie highlights the role of love and compassion in addressing male pain in an attempt to avoid escalating emotional factors that can lead to suicidial ideation. I hope more people with soon be having conversations like this, staying curious about the boys and men in their lives and how they can ensure they feel accepted and loved.

This conversation started as one thing and shape-shifted into something else completely.
I originally reached out to John Graham to discuss his incredible feats of memory, performed around the world, but as we dove into that topic I began to sense there was something much deeper and profound that he wanted to share. It was a topic we only briefly touched upon during our pre-interview chat, his overcoming of his panic attacks after suffering through so many. John's panic attacks started during a competition in China in front of 400 MILLION people. The TV show changed the competition format on him at the last minute and his fight or flight mechanism went into Meltdown Mode! How he overcame his frequent panic attacks to banish them from his life is what we focused on at length and it turned into one of my favourite chats. I hope you enjoy it!
John Graham is a 3x USA Memory Champion, a Grandmaster of Memory, Entrepreneur, and mentors High Performers (including a World Record holder and National Memory Champion).
He's performed insane mental feats on TV shows all over the world:
Super Brain (China) 400 Million Viewers
Xtra Ordinary (Indonesia) 20 Million Viewers
SuperHuman (USA) with Mike Tyson
Incredible People (Russia) 4th place finish
OVERCOME ANXIETY AND PANIC ATTACKS: He also overcame daily panic attacks and decades of anxiety by using unconventional methods to release suppressed emotions and release the control conditioning of his mind.
He mentors high achievers and helps them release their anxiety & panic attacks, for good at releasepanic.com

There seems to be a slight panic in the air lately about more people choosing to be single. Often cited is the state of Japanese sexlessness, the "destruction of the nuclear family", or maybe population collapse! *gasp! Yet no matter how much fear the media tries to stir into my morning coffee about this manufactured problem… the trend persists. Is this a crisis or a personal choice revolution? Let's ask my guest, Dr. Bella DePaulo, who wrote the book "Single at Heart" to explore why she and many other people are increasingly choosing this path.
The Atlantic has described Dr. Bella DePaulo as "America's foremost thinker and writer on the single experience." Dr. DePaulo coined the term "Single at Heart" and gave a TEDx Talk on the topic in 2017 which has had more than 1.6 million views. Dr. DePaulo received her PhD from Harvard University and is currently an academic affiliate in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is the author of Singled Out, The Psychology of Dexter, and How We Live Now, among other titles. She has written the column "Living Single" for Psychology Today since 2008; and has been published by the New York Times, the Washington Post, Time magazine, and been interviewed on The Today Show, CNN, CBS This Morning, Good Morning America, CBS Sunday Morning, Anderson Cooper 360, and Hardball with Chris Matthews.

I think most would agree, that those of us in the developed world with ubiquitous access to the internet are all dependent on it to live our lives in one way or another.
The only question is: Where does that relationship turn toxic? This week, I spoke with Dr. Daria Kuss who gave me a firehose dose of academia on the matter. Our discussion ranged from when behaviour becomes addiction, the difference between chemical and behavioural addictions, the clinical perspective on gaming addiction, and more. Dr Kuss is a Chartered Psychologist, Chartered Scientist, and Associate Professor in Psychology at Nottingham Trent University. She created the Masters of Science program in Cyberpsychology, and is a member of the International Gaming Research Unit. She is an award-winning author, with her most recent book titled: Internet addiction – Evidence-based practice in psychotherapy Outside of academia, Dr. Kuss has worked with the World Health Organization, the European Parliament, and the Government Council of the Czech Republic.
Her research has been covered in international news outlets, including the New York Times, The Washington Post, and the BBC. For more episodes, find us at:

I grew up loving board games. From Sorry! to Scrabble to endless games of Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit. How amazing is that?!

For anyone who has attempted to achieve anything from losing 5lbs of stubborn body fat to an Olympic Medal, we all wonder what is holding us back or what is in our way. Is it our minds? Our bodies? Our coaches?
Dr. Jim Loehr, a PhD in Psychology, has spent his life answering these questions. As the former chairman, CEO, and co-founder of the Human Performance Institute (HPI), now a division, of Johnson & Johnson, Loehr developed a ground-breaking, science-based energy management training system. He used this system with hundreds of world-class performers from the arenas of sport, business, medicine, and law enforcement, including Fortune 100 executives, FBI hostage rescue teams, and military special forces. Dr. Loehr is the author of eighteen other books, including the national bestseller The Power of Full Engagement. His recent book, SAPIENS REINVENTED, is step beyond his life's work and shows how violence and prejudice are linked to humans' evolutionary drive for self-preservation but he believes the way forward is improving ourselves to account for what he believes is a flaw in our nature. The upgrade we all need, according to Dr. Loehr, is compassion; for ourselves and for others. Dr. Loehr believes that character strength and empathy can be built in the same way that muscle strength is built—through energy investment. Rep after rep.

Listening to Aaron's story was a rollercoaster of emotions. From learning of his tortured childhood and adolescence that lead him to nearly committing an atrocious crime and planning to take his own life, to the joy in his voice when he speaks of the friends who saved him from himself. Aaron's journey is unlike anything I've heard or experienced. Yet, as with any human experience there are universal truths that force us to dig deeper and re-evaluate our own stories along the way. I'll be reflecting on this conversation for months to come. Aaron is clearly on a mission to turn the darkest moments of his life into a bright light to help the rest of us to understand the unfathomable. He grew up in a painful and abusive environment, witnessing and experiencing violence and substance abuse all around him. He experimented with various coping strategies over the years, both helpful and harmful, but at the age of 15 his capacity to cope ran out.
In 1996, Aaron planned to acquire a firearm and attack either North Highschool or the food court of a local mall in his hometown of Denver, Colorado. Thankfully, the kindness of a friend altered the trajectory of Aaron’s plan, his life, and now he shares his story with the TEDx stage, law enforcement, and audiences like ours to help anyone who might be listening.
I hope our conversation helps all of us to be a little kinder to the people we meet and hold those we love a little closer when we're together.

“America will never be a Christian nation because the moment it becomes a Christian nation it will cease to be America.” - Andrew Seidel As a Canadian living in Europe, my opinion on America has shifted in sentiment through the years from "America: Great" to "America: Bad" to "America: It's Complicated." I believe in the American experiment. Even as we've all watched a part of their population take a knee in loyalty to a literal con man. Most shockingly, the power structure creating Republican policy appears to be driven by Christian Nationalists. The Christian Nationalists have been building on a dangerous lie that leads to the end of American democracy. At least, that's the opinion of Andrew Seidel. Andrew documents the lie in his first book, The Founding Myth: Why Christian Nationalism is Un-American. It's a brilliantly historical and evidence-based thesis on why America was NOT founded as a Christian nation Christian Nationalists believe they are "taking back" America to be run, essentially, as a theocracy. And any means to accomplish that is justified under their collective crusade. But Andrew and many Americans, despite a steady stream of death threats, refuse to go quietly into the political night.
Andrew is a constitutional and civil rights attorney, activist, and author who has defended the First Amendment in and out of court for over a decade. His second book, American Crusade, is about how the US Supreme Court is currently actively weaponizing religious freedom. Andrew is VP of Communication for Americans United, a not-for-profit organization for the separation of church and state > https://www.au.org/

"Michael, at one point, I had to forgive all of 1974..." said Katharine Giovanni.
As we move through our lives, we collect big and small negative experiences that, if left unresolved, calcify into how we interact with and view the world. Abuse. Neglect. Betrayal. Rejection. Nobody arrives into adulthood without at least a short list of items that could use the emotional freedom that comes with forgiveness. Blah blah blah, right? Easier said than done!
Enter Katharine Giovanni.
Katharine is a three-time award-winning best-selling author of twelve books. She’s also a speaker, trainer, an advisor. And a proud breast cancer survivor. Her latest work, "The Ultimate Path to Forgiveness: Unlocking Your Power," offers profound insights into forgiveness.
Katharine started forgiving people out of desperation. She made a list of offenders, including people, places, things, even years, whatever she could think of, and ranked them from 1-10. #10 being the most egregious offenders.
"Not everything is forgivable, and it's important to give people the right never to forgive. You have to be ready.", says Katharine
As Katharine was on her journey of forgiveness, she created the Forgiveness Matrix, a model for starting and practicing forgiveness. Most importantly, this journey is not for anyone else but you. Katharine suggests starting with the #1s and #2s and working up to the #10s. She says, "...maybe one day you will reduce them to a #5, and that's just fine."
I loved this conversation with Katharine. It was fun, profound, and insightful in a way I didn't expect. I hope you enjoy it.

The world is a chaotic place and events unfold at random every second of every day as we do our best to scramble, adapt, and make sense of it all. Within that chaos, human beings have a deep need for safety and predictability while being hopelessly bad at prediction. Few things exploit these needs more than religion. However, astrology is a pretty close second place. Though I consider myself an expert eye-roller regarding astrological matters, I only recently discovered personality tests exploit the same parts of our silly brains. Thankfully, Dr. Kim Perkins is here to explain why these things are not only completely without any basis in reality but why they're harmful and why we continue to lean into them so heavily.
Dr. Kim Perkins is a former journalist and pro athlete. She holds a Ph.D. in positive organizational psychology, an MA in Evaluation and applied research Kim is currently on a mission to help others make sense of this chaotic social era in which we find ourselves, so that we can overcome paralysis and take positive action for ourselves, our communities, and the planet. Losing weight is a topic most of us have had to consider at one point in our lives or another. Perhaps an extra gluttonous holiday season, an amazing vacation with too many pasta dishes, or maybe you have a long commute to work and your car is slowly filling with bagel wrappers. In the developed world, food is beyond abundant and sadly the opportunity for consistent movement is not. On top of that, a trillion dollar diet industry continues preying on people, promising quick solutions to a problem that goes a lot deeper. Enter Dr. Michelle May Dr. Michelle May is a former family physician and recovered yo-yo dieter. She is also the founder of Am I Hungry? Michelle and I discuss the diet industry at large, the role of emotions and environment in our eating habits, and debate the merits of body positivity and honesty. Julie Hall's voice is so soothing I can see why her clients keep returning. It must be like having therapy with a YouTube ASMR channel.
Julie is a graduate of New York University, Rutgers Business School and Seattle Pacific University’s graduate family therapy program. She is Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in both CT and NY and works with students, couples, and families around issues including anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and trauma.
Julie and I go in a dozen interesting during our chat but made a few productive stops:
-Different types of therapy methods and what they consist of -Parenting teenagers and smartphone addiction -Regulating the nervous system even with the unfamiliar -Pain and Peace Cycle -Self-talk via the needs of your younger self -Truth vs. Feelings -Practicing self-compassion to access our authentic self - Different approaches to raising teenagers
This was such a fun chat while being a calming deep dive into self-care and parenting concepts.

Who doesn't like a good story about a Christian leader defrauding his flock and partnering with African dictators to make himself richer? A story as old as time, really.
David Wilcox, author of Protecting Pat Robertson: Confession of a High Priced Bagman shares his insights from his years working face-to-face with one of America's most controversial religious figures.
Pat Robertson founded the Christian Broadcast Network, the 700 Club and, at one point, even had his eye on the presidency.
His controversial opinions were so common and egregious they have their own wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Robertson_controversies
I really enjoyed chatting with David and learning about his innate sense of justice. He witnessed, over and over, how Pat Robertson misled and betrayed so many good-hearted and faithful Christians who believed in him for so many years. David's trying to set the record straight and I greatly admire his courage.

When Amanda contacted me about being a guest on the podcast, I remember thinking, "No way," and I had a bit of a fear response. But ultimately, it reminded me that this is the reason I started KMKL. To have challenging conversations and help spread messages and voices that I want to amplify. During our widespread chat, I found myself continually inspired by Amanda's transparency, resilience, and drive. Not only in helping other women to reclaim their lives after sexual assault but also to change government policy to protect them better in the first place. We may not have seen eye to eye on all of her policy ideas, but in the end, I'm grateful for Amanda's honesty and for sharing her story with all of us. I hope you'll enjoy our chat.

I do love me a great conversation about saving the planet, as well as diving into the hypocrisies that exist within the climate change movement. John was an incredibly knowledgeable guest and I enjoyed seeing how deeply he cares about our collective future. However, by the end of our conversation, I still had to ask him the same question I ask all climate change experts. If all of the data for saving the planet still leads us to one simple truth.... This is a very special episode. I've always wondered what it would be like to live with the challenges that come with losing one of our senses but I would never dare ask a stranger to share their experience with disability with me. Well, today that's exactly what I did, and it was even more humbling and illuminating than I expected. There are so many physical setbacks Fiona had to learn through her life that many of us will never experience, but the lessons she's learned about perseverance, reframing, and gratitude are applicable to all of our lives. I hope you enjoy our chat. Fiona is a social worker, resilience coach, and frequent keynote speaker. Fiona is also legally blind!
Fiona shares the stories of her experience with disability and how she faces the world, embracing challenges and achieving so much.

It won't come as a shock to anyone that we live on a planet that's not only drowning in plastic but we are also depleting a finite resource to do so. #goodtimes
I knew going into this chat that it might be a bit heavy for my brain but speaking with Mimi Wu was such a pleasure! Seeing people focused and fighting a problem so enormous as our plastic addiction is inspiring.
The fact that Mimi started fighting this fight FROM SCRATCH for 9 years in a country like Myanmar without knowing the language is truly incredible. That's like taking your first tennis lesson by entering Wimbledon!

Mimi is an impact-driven entrepreneur with deep experience in plastics waste management.
Her mission is to accelerate our transition to a zero-plastic waste future by reducing plastic production and consumption, building basic waste infrastructure for all communities.
Mimi founded one of the world’s only post-consumer plastic bag recycling companies in a country - Myanmar - which consistently ranks in the top 20 hardest countries in the world to conduct business.
Since returning to the US in 2021 after Myanmar's military coup, she has been working with industry leaders, startups, and VCs to solve our climate and plastic pollution crises.
Among her many roles, she is currently Secretariat of the Innovation Alliance for a Global Plastics Treaty.

This was a special conversation. Lately, there seems to be something moving in the zeitgeist regarding alcohol. More and more people realize the cascading negative effects that even casual drinking can have on our mental and physical health and interpersonal relationships.
Personal testimonials from people like my guest prove that removing alcohol from your diet is the easiest lever we can pull to almost immediately improve our quality of life.
Sean Robinson is a 38 year old Electrician, Volunteer Firefighter, Father and Husband.
In 2021, Sean was in a place where he felt he couldn’t talk about what was bothering him without being ridiculed by those closest to him. He bottled everything up.
At the same time, Sean weighed 320lbs, and finally had enough with how his life was unfolding around him. Sean decided to take a small break from drinking alcohol, "only one month" but kept extending his timeline as he felt the drastic effects on his wellbeing. Sean documented his experience and his challenges of rebounding back to old habits.
Sean challenged himself to be sober for a year and shared this journal in his book Going Dry - My Path to Overcoming Habitual Drinking. This challenge helped change his identity and become the person that he never thought he could be on his own. He is encouraging others to remove the things in their life that may be holding them back as well.

This is a conversation I've been wanting to have for a while and might have again. In the aftermath of George Floyd I heard a lot of non-black Canadians claiming that there wasn't racism in Canada. I kept hearing that Canada was immune from the level of hateful dialogue and actions happening south of the border because Canada was a more diverse mix of recently landed immigrants.
We don't need a statistician to tell us Canada is a less hateful, less violent, less racially volatile country. But is Canada immune from racism? That seems suspect. So I decided to have a fun chat with one of friends, Lloyd Grimes to get his perspective.
Lloyd grew up outside Toronto Ontario, the son of immigrants from Guyana.
He’s currently the Customer Success director at a large tech company in Toronto. He’s a dad 5 times over with 2 grandkids in his extended step-family. He’s a part-time coach using his love of basketball to give back to his community and impact the lives of the young people he meets.

I've never been a Beatles fan. Neither of my parents played it in the house and they weren't something that came close to Michael Jackson and other 80s & 90s pop icons I had in my SONY Discman. But over time, I realized the Beatles were everywhere. Be it in the artists they inspired or their discography that I'd heard on the radio occasionally without even knowing. In fact, I guess I was a Beatles fan all along.
When the opportunity to interview David Bedford came up, I wanted to know more about what made the Fab Four so, well, fab. The biggest shock during this interview was realizing just how many stars had to align for the band even to meet, never mind stay together. But more so, the Beatles were only together for ten years and toured for even less than that.
How much music history and impact were crammed into those years is incredible.
Whether you are a Beatles fan or not, you will surely enjoy this super fun chat.
David Bedford grew up at the bottom of Madryn Street, where Ringo Starr was born. He lives near Penny Lane, and his children attended the same school where John Lennon and George Harrison started their education.
When illness forced retirement upon David at the age of 35, he began a quest to discover as much about The Beatles and Liverpool as he could. His first book, published in 2009, is now on its Third Edition: Liddypool: Birthplace of The Beatles.
His second book, The Fab one hundred and Four: The Evolution of The Beatles, was published in 2013 to critical acclaim. It featured every family member, friend and musician who contributed to the story of The Beatles, including the previously unknown school friend of John Lennon who started it all.
In 2016, he was a co-author with Hunter Davies, the only authorized Beatles biographer, on The Beatles Book,
David was also the Associate Producer and historical consultant for “Looking For Lennon” a 2018 documentary about the life of John Lennon.
In 2021, ACC is publishing The Beatles Fab Four Cities, a book looking at the four cities that defined The Beatles' career: Liverpool, Hamburg, London and New York.

A popular talking point from the technocrats is that technology will save us and the planet so we should all just relax. Don't get me started on all the problems with that argument, but Will Wiseman has another solution at the intersection of commerce and climate activism: Capital.
In today's episode Will walks me through how his startup Climatize is helping to fund climate projects that aren't able to receive big bank dollars yet. Climatize is helping to galvanize the energy transfer to renewables by funding projects that can make a real difference today along side the, hopefully, evolving technology.
Will talks about the climate economy and the problems we face with the same ease and deep knowledge that I discuss the Back to the Future trilogy. I learned a lot during this interview and I hope you do too!
Will is currently the CEO &Co-Founder of Climatize, an easy & transparent mobile app enabling investments in renewable energy projects.
Will has worked in the clean energy industry for 9 years in roles such as managing multi-million dollar electrical projects, as an energy market analyst & even as a solar panel installer.
He also holds a Double Masters in Renewable Energy Engineering and in 2023, Will was selected among the Forbes 30 Under 30 for Social Impact.
And in 2022 he was selected as a Young Global Changer by the World Policy Forum

This is a powerful discussion on how the heavy presence of masculine cultural expectations weighs down men in a profoundly damaging way. Dr. Ronald Levant has studied men and masculinity for over 40 years, documenting how trying to fit into the "man box" tragically separates men from themselves and those they love most. Some items we discuss: - How testosterone has nothing to do with violence or aggression
What is Alexithymia and why do more men suffering from it than women?
How the humanity is taken from boys in an effort to make them men
How feminists trained women to change themselves to create a better future
Why teaching boys to be the antithesis of women has led to self-loathing and emotional detachment.
Dr. Levant's recent book is titled, The Tough Standard: The Hard Truths About Masculinity & Violence, unpacks all the myths that label men as inherently violent. You can find the book here: https://thetoughstandard.com/
=========================== Dr. Levant is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at The University of Akron; Past President of the American Psychological Association (APA) and APA Division 51, the Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinities. This was a scary one for me, but as more people kept asking and recommending I do a solo episode, I decided to give it a shot. I'm clearly winging it and rambling a bunch, but hopefully, something spilled from my mouth that was fun or helpful. In this solo episode I discuss: - what I've enjoyed about doing the podcast so far - some episodes that have stood out to me and why - some future episodes I have planned Then I get into two articles I've enjoyed recently, and I discuss my thoughts on their findings. Spiritual Narcissism: Self-enhancement through spiritual practices can fool some of us into thinking we’re evolving and growing when all we’re growing is our ego https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/the-science-of-spiritual-narcissism/# AND Is Mindfulness Bullshit? This article describes how mindfulness benefits are overstated, might be hurtful to some people, and should never be put above all the other activities we could do with our time. https://psychologybestpractice.substack.com/p/mindfulness-bullshit-part-ii Thanks for listening/watching! As expected from the title, this conversation was a lot of fun. Ironically, I could feel myself limiting how playful and silly I was getting, as it doesn't take much. Lucie and I chatted about all things play-related and how we try to make our worlds more enjoyable day after day even though sometimes aging and personal responsibilities can be a real f*@king bummer. Lucie Lincoln is an author, communicator and creative explorer. She's on a journey to discover what it means to grow up well in a world that celebrates youth. Her recent book is: Living a Creative Life: Everyday Play, and she’s the host of the Almost Grown...Up podcast
Lucie spends most of her days working with fast growth businesses helping them to tell their stories with soul. When she is not doing that, she is writing for publications on travel, growing up, creativity and what it means to be human.

If I'm clear on anything in life, it's that I dislike being forced or coerced to do something I don't want to do. And after speaking with Therese Shechter about her new documentary My So-Called Selfish Life, I get the feeling many women likely feel the same about the pressure to be a mother.
I had never considered how ubiquitous this societal pressure is for women, and how connected it can be with feeling accepted or rejected by loved ones and the groups we belong. My 2 favourite quotes from Therese's film were (paraphrased), 1) "I don't mind if people have children. I want everyone who wants kids to have them and live happily ever after. But I also want all women to know that they don't have to if they don't want to. It really is a choice" 2) "Often more thought goes into not having children then actually having then, and it should be the opposite." Therese Shechter is an award-winning filmmaker, public speaker, and the founder of the production company Trixie Films. Her work fuses humor, activism, and personal storytelling to explore and confront what's considered most sacred about womanhood.
Therese began her two-decades-long film career at Robert DeNiro’s production company Tribeca Productions. Since then, her work has been screened and streamed globally on TV and home video, at the Brooklyn Museum and the Kinsey Insitute, and at film festivals from Rio de Janeiro to Istanbul to Seoul.
Therese's newest documentary, My So-Called Selfish Life is a paradigm-shifting journey through one of our society’s greatest social taboos: choosing not to become a mother. Created with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, New York State Council of the Arts, and close to 800 individual donors, it premiered at the Woodstock Film Festival in 2021 to critical acclaim. The film is currently screening at film festivals, colleges, conferences, non-profits, and global virtual streaming events. This topic has hit a nerve with her audience: the Facebook group she created for the film now has over 11,000 followers and a movement is growing.

As I've mentioned in previous episodes, my experience with psychedelics and reading the incredible novel, The Overstory expanded & deepened my appreciation for the natural world. I see trees and forests differently than I once did, and it seems like nearly every day, I find a reason to appreciate and love the animal world more than the day before. In this episodes, I was honoured to speak with Carl Safina, who has spent his entire life studying, appreciating, and sharing the secrets of the natural world with the rest of us. I hope I have assisted Carl in spreading his message even further. Carl Safina is an American ecologist and acclaimed non-fiction writer. His books focusing on the human relationship with the living world have won a MacArthur “genius” prize; Pew, Guggenheim, and National Science Foundation fellowships; book awards from the National Academies, the Lannan Foundation, and Orion Magazine; and the John Burroughs, James Beard, and George Rabb medals
Carl has written ten books in all, two of which have been New York Times Notable Books of the Year, including his most recent Becoming Wild, which explores animal cultures, how much wisdom and intelligence humans miss in animals and how we have a moral duty to preserve the natural world if we wish for any chance of preserving human dignity. Carl's recent book is truly beautiful and I highly recommend it: Becoming Wild: How Animal Cultures Raise Families, Create Beauty, and Achieve Peace

I first saw Marisa Amechi on Instagram talking about working in a skin care clinic in Los Angeles. I realized all of my views on that industry, especially in LA, is "skin care clinics make people look weird." This is clearly false or there wouldn't be so many of them! I love chatting with people who think deeply about where we came from and why homo sapiens and our planet are so unique in such an expansive universe. Richard Anderson is one of those people. Richard Anderson is an alumnus of San Jose State University with a master’s degree in microbiology and a passion for galactic exploration. Before the pandemic, Richard spent his time researching what fascinated him during his university years. From that research, he discovered new information that became the subject matter for his book, The Evolution of Life: From Big Bang to Space Colonies. Richard is also in the process of writing a novel that explores the challenges of making humans a multi-planet species.

Several months ago I joined a virtual men's group to connect with other expats in my adopted city. Every other week we gather on Zoom to discuss relevant topics to our experience and share intimate parts of our lives for witnessing and feedback. I entered deeply skeptical but the value was quickly obvious. What I learned is many men are going through similar experiences regardless of what their lives look like. Always branching from the desire for deeper connection and a mismatch with the complex box of what manhood is. The internal struggle is how to identify, accept, and acknowledge that our feelings matter. In an attempt to shed light on even 1% of this topic, I invited 3 men from our group - Ryan, Aaron, and Chris - to a local podcast studio to discuss what manhood & masculinity is in 2023 and what our individual journeys look like. For the full-effect, please watch on YouTube!

Los Angeles & Hollywood seem like a place fueled by ambitious dreamers & people with ADHD. The Venn Diagram is surely a complete circle. Opportunity and tragedy on every corner. One of Hollywood's survivors and thrivers is Michael Stein. Michael and I had a fun chat about the mania and confusion that was inherent in our 20s, having all the ambition with zero direction. Michael tells stories like: - working as an extra with Brad Pitt - being in the original short film that became Boogie Nights - promoting nightclubs in Hollywood in the 80s & 90s - missing opportunities for mentorship due to fear - how starting self-development in any way is so crucial during your 20s - driving from Los Angeles to NY in 72hrs to bootstrap the start of his lifelong business Michael is an entrepreneur, actor, writer, director, producer, and stand-up comic who has acted and worked with multiple Academy Award-winning actors & filmmakers. Michael is also the Host of the Long Shot Leaders Podcast, which tells the story of underdogs who have found success; and finally, Michael is the Founder/CEO of Abadak Tarps, which has done over $100M in sales. ------------------------ KNOW MORE KNOW LESS PODCAST:

In my travels and friendly encounters through the years, I've always enjoyed meeting someone who has lived a life so far removed from mine that it seems like a movie. Enter Marci Warhaft. Marci is the author of The Good Stripper: A Soccer Mom’s Memoir of Lies, Loss and Lap Dances. I listened to Marci's book on Audible before our chat and it was brash, honest, crass, and heartwrenching. This was one of my favourite conversations yet. No matter how many things I learn about climate change and the impact humanity is having on our ecosystem, there's always a 10-tonne elephant in the room that is never mentioned: Overpopulation! Thankfully Nandita Bajaj & Alan Ware from Population Balance are here to upgrade my knowledge... and scare the sh*t out of me (within the first 15min!) In this episode we discuss: - why nobody is discussing overpopulation? - what evidence exists that we are exceeding our ecological boundaries? - what role does human supremacy play in how we treat the planet? - what is pronatalism? how does it affect our population? - can technology help us correct course? Nandita is the Executive Director of Population Balance, where she also co-hosts The Overpopulation Podcast. She is faculty at the Institute for Humane Education at Antioch University and teaches two graduate courses - Human Rights as well as Pronatalism, Overpopulation, and the Planet, a first-of-its-kind course that she designed. The desire for perpetual travel runs through many of us but few have the courage to build a life around it, and significantly fewer so when Chris left the US more than a decade ago.
Chris Reynolds has spent the last 10+ years of his life starting different businesses to facilitate his passion for travel, meeting new people, and exploring life outside his home country. He is what I would call a Super Connector with his inherent ability to generate trust in the community wherever he goes. His current projects include the M3 Entrepreneur Community & The Business Method Podcast, which has over 500 episodes with high-performance business owners.

Over the last few years we've layered a pandemic on top of the proliferation of social media and "always-on" hustle culture. The result is that every human has become a little more aware of their own anxiety and the thoughts ceaselessly bouncing around their heads. It's not every day that a Christian Pastor chats publicly with an Atheist for an hour but that's what this is. Pastor Mike shares his experience growing up within the Baptist church and learning, as a child, that he was gay.
