The Deeper Journey:
Joy has a gift of identifying the sticky bits we want to avoid! We talk about what it really means to awaken in today's world. It's not just about morning affirmations or surface-level self-care – though those have their place. True awakening is about peeling back the layers of conditioning that have told us who we should be, how we should look, and what we should want.
We dive in to address the elephant in the room: the struggle between who we've been taught to be and who we truly are. How many of us have dimmed our light to make others comfortable? How many times have we apologised for taking up space, for having opinions, for wanting more than what was offered to us?
The Uncomfortable Truth:
Awakening isn't always pretty. It's messy, uncomfortable, and sometimes lonely. It means questioning everything – the relationships that drain us, the careers that don't fulfil us, the beliefs that limit us. It means sitting with the discomfort of not knowing who we are when we strip away everyone else's expectations.
But here's what I've learned: that discomfort is sacred. It's the birthplace of our authentic selves. When we stop running from it and start embracing it, we discover our power.

Every time you choose authenticity over approval, you're not just changing your life – you're changing the world. You're showing others watching that there's another way. Choosing you is proving to others that it's possible to break free from limiting patterns. You're contributing to a collective awakening that's been building for generations.

It's a definitive moment, death. The gift and the essence of a near death experience is in the return to this world.
How life is after that is surely the truest forming of Awakening?
Lets rewind in time...at age 4-16 years Nicoleen was in living with her family of birth in a cult. Born with an ability to talk with Angels, Arch Angels and being told through the "Christian Cult" that only the Priest was in communion with God & the Angels was difficult. Experiencing that their conversations with the Priest were very different in comparison to hers when the Priest shared his.
Physical & mental abuse, narcissism and a lot of conflicting intentions layered heavily over her childhood. Rescued from this world of trauma and abuse by her high achieving academic ability, with a mixture of contention and miracle, creating a pathway out of the cult into a new world and new opportunities in a new country.
Her Angels were definitely in service of her.
Having survived NDE and recovered from many years of chronic illness, auto-immune conditions and being bedridden without an ounce of energy, Nicoleen has a unique insight of trauma and how to heal.

Our guest this week was a Nature Spirit as a child, living on a farm and free to breathe the air, be with herself & the animals, experience the elements - the sky, thunder & lightening!
Seeing a hologram of Jesus as a young girl was a pivotal experience then finding out later in the first grade who this guy Jesus was, oh - The Guy in her hologram!
Moving to the Bible Belt of Louisiana added layers to the Spirit of Life as she knew it. Also leading to the asking of a whole lot more questions as to the meaning of life as an inquisitive, sensitive, energy field open wide young person.
Her curiosity about the spiritual side of life, the supernatural & miracles led her to major in Religious Ed in College to support her calling to be of service and explore these mysteries of Spirit further.
Serious health challenges with no relief from the suitcases of medications prescribed + with the addition of their myriad of side effects to deal with, led her to take up the recommendation of a friend to see a new Doctor. One who focused on her mind, her life, her beliefs and the ENERGY of this.

Divine timing has brought you our guest this week, an Earth Angel who has walked many miles to fall in love with her Self.
Lauren Goninan shares a deeply personal & intimate Awakening, opening the door to her journey with Breast Implants. A surgical procedure she decided she was having at 14 and saved up the money to have at 19.
Believing having breasts would change everything about her life and insecurities - erasing negative thoughts of not being beautiful, having no connection with self love, unreachable ideals of perfectionism and what it meant to be truly a woman and feminine, took Lauren overseas for a "cosmetic holiday" and her dreams come true. Boobs!
This determined decision led her painfully over a massive 13 year cycle of complications & continued surgery, to face her deepest wounds around self love & perfectionism.
The universe hands us the challenges we are somehow asking for in guises we cannot imagine until we are in deep the journey or through and out the other side.
Perfectionism didn't appear to hold as much pain as the discomfort of being "imperfect".
Until it did.
Post surgery with her body screaming at her and unable to feel her own heart beat Lauren's shares, "There was no pain like being disconnected from my body."
Shadow work in exploring all the things through the portal of the Spiritual world led Lauren to embrace learning Shamanism, Body work and Reiki. Healing in all the places.
Her holistic healing work is based around a foundational mantra of helping people connect to their heart space -
"I help you get out of your head & into your heart"

Well we know the times they are quite "interesting" at the moment with a lot hanging in the air, ethers, fire, water...
WTF happened to Jo connects in to that opportunity we hear often that arises with many of our GA guests, whereby their body lets them know when it's time for a change. Something in life isn't serving them anymore, the program has got out of control, a STOP what you're doing moment. AKA a crisis or illness and the body gets sick, presenting an opportunity where we have a moment to consider electively or not, to make considerable changes in our life.
All divinely Self created!
Jo went somewhere in a big way with many elements to consider about the opportunity that presented as she shares in this episode.
It has been a while since we sat together and shared a reflection or two. It felt good. Hopefully for you too :)

We have been deeply honoured with the gift of sitting this week with Anjali Woodford, founder of Gold Coast Women's Health Networking Page.
Anjali lives on the Gold Coast, Australia with her beautiful family and has a mission to empower women in different ways involving health and wellness. This includes giving a voice to women in developing countries such as Nepal. Her home country of birth.
Indignant at age 10 being verbally abused by an older man in the village and told she was worthless as a girl to her family, Anjali has had a fire deep within that has simmered, rising to the surface at different stages of her life, giving her strength and the courage to find a way out of that life. The fire has continued to be brewing away and now is rising to the surface as a very BIG DREAM!
Bringing amazing things to women in community is a part of the flame in her heart. Empowering women locally and in undeveloped countries to be able to utilise the resources, support, uplift and collaborate to learn from our strength and weaknesses.
In Anjali's words; "As you are aware, I am from Nepal and I am passionate to see some changes that impacted me growing up. In Nepal lots of girls suffers from sexual abuse, sex trafficking, domestic violence and early marriage. Once a woman is in the situation of being touched by a man inappropriately, they are seen as dirty and abandoned by family and the community."
Gold Coast Women's Health Network Page is bringing the women’s health and wellbeing community together in a networking space for all health care professionals and a learning space for everyone.
GCWNP is the first step in Anjali's BIG DREAM. The second step is a practitioner / fund raising event being held in September, link below.

Our guest this week is a free spirit, viewing the world differently to those around her as a young girl, but not sure why. As the child who asked a lot of questions, with "Why" being one of her favourite, curiosity about the world unseen led Nadia Gledhill to explore things unseen but often "felt".

What happens when the peacemaker in the family goes wild?
First of all lets track back to a Barbie moment - living in a perfect world with everything a girl could want ....but something is missing. A whole lot is missing as it turns out for Kendall Williams when she has an intense awakening that feels more like she is going to sleep when Chronic Fatigue takes a hold of her.
Then comes the realisation for the peacemaker in the family, of who's looking after Kendall?
Petite and you could say quietly spoken, Kendall has an inner strength and fire that was always there but as she shares, her radio station was on the wrong frequency. Once she realised she could take the cape off and step out of home into the esoteric world that called her, her energy started to return and she was "free to be me".
Following the signs Kendall couldn't ignore and subconsciously was yearning for, has brought her to running her own School of Western Shamanism and living life on her own terms with her only boss being Spirit. And not so quietly spoken!

A potent month to release, August has been gifted with two powerful big full moons. One earlier this month on 2nd August in Aquarius ♒️and now closing the month on the 31st with a super full blue moon in Pisces ♓️
Both moons we have been blessed to share Emma Cormack if @peace.love.alchemy with first her awakenings earlier this month and with both episodes, her very insightful Astrological observations and teachings.

The framework integrates comprehensive knowledge from somatics, neuroscience, ecology, and mythology, as well as first-hand experience with Indigenous knowledge keepers and world-renowned experts within the rewilding movement.

Storme has always known that she would be singing as a part of her life’s passion and direction. During Primary School she thoroughly enjoyed singing in the school choir and singing solo parts. During her university days, she became immobilised and depressed about a number of things, which she has only been able to work through and come to peace with over the last 5 years. Music has been her saviour, listening to her favourite artists and favourite songs, as well as songwriting has been very therapeutic and has been a great way to release emotional energy and bring things to light for her. She literally sang for her and her friend's supper in Italy. She had studied Italian at Uni, and really love to sing in Italian. From then on she began trying to fit into a preconceived idea of herself as a ‘Music Superstar’ and all that would go with that. She spent a good deal of time playing out the generic title of The “poor, struggling musician’. Now looking back she has learned that in trying to fit into a mold of what she thought needed to be to ‘make it’ she lost sight of her authentic origins, passions and how it all began for her in the first place. Today as a sound therapy practitioner, mindfulness speaker & vocal coach Storme has a beautiful connection with expressing herself through writing, recording & publishing her music that relates to both the individual & collective consciousness! Her first experience with Reiki/Energy Healing was 30 years ago, She had a massage and the therapist also did Reiki, Aromatherapy and Crystal Healing on her...it was amazing, Her life changed at that moment and the beginning of her personal healing journey and interest in Holistic Healing began,
A few years later she had her first experience with Hypnotherapy, She was highly anxious, depressed and stressed which had caused illness in her body. Her GP suggested she attend a Clinical Trial through the UNSW for Relaxation Therapy (aka Clinical Hypnotherapy) She didn't know how to relax, as was in constant fight or flight mode due to multiple traumatic events. She signed up and by her 2nd session her symptoms had eased and by her 3rd session her illnesses had vanished...this furthered her interest in Holistic Healing.

As a teenager, Elyse suffered from acne, persistent thrush, cysts and abscesses in her breasts and ovaries, constant bloating, anaemia, depression, sugar addiction, constipation, diarrhoea, and food intolerances that were getting progressively worse. She had begun thinking these issues were normal, and something she would have to live with. It was a very empowering moment when she learnt the connection the gut has with all of these issues, and how she could transform her health by first transforming her gut and microbiome (our army of bacteria that we cannot survive a second without!).

Madonna's awakening journey was one of the more moving we have had the honour of sitting in on. Much of her story has been kept sacred for much of her life. Growing up in a family of 8 children she had to from the beginning find her place. So much strength and awareness of the care and nurturing for others was something that called her right from a very young soul.
Some big shifts through the grieving of too many close family members for one person, she took this like the warrior being she is, with a whole lot of understanding and awakening through this grieving process she became the most incredible woman that she so selflessly shares with so many today. From seeing a grandfather who wasn't visible to others to counselling her parents at 18 months old. Jaali understood things at a very young age, she was constantly questioning everything.
