A long time ago, there was a popular rhyme: “Here is the church, here is the steeple; open it up and see all of the people.” But since then, church attendance has continued to decline; the latest Gallup polls estimate only 30% of Americans attend church regularly. What gives? Is it possible to reverse the spiritual slump people are experiencing? We believe there is a better future God has in mind for our region: and our part to play in it means becoming a more and more spiritually vibrant, outwardly focused, steadily growing church that reaches what we call Journey City. Join us this October as we learn about God’s plan to open up his church to the world - so they see more than a steeple; but all the people being changed by Jesus.

The biggest problem in relationships is that everyone has their own problems. We might think other people are the ones causing issues, but often, our own feelings of anger, insecurity, frustration, and disappointment are the real source. Instead of blaming others, we can learn from God's wisdom to recognize what's really going on inside us and find the freedom he intends for us.
We live in a world of unsettled beliefs, opinions, and outlooks, where truth is relative and feelings rule. But with all the “my” truth, “your” truth, and “their” truth… How do we know what’s really true? What if we could find the answers we need by getting to know the God who wants to reveal them to us? When we settle it and start seeing the world the way God does, we discover a stable foundation for our lives. Join us in July to learn how you can stand on solid ground in a shifting world.

Sometimes the busyness of life can take over, and before we know it, our lives feel like one long “to do” list without a real sense of purpose or direction. However, when we finally go all in with God, we can start to see our “to do’s” change to ways to fulfill God’s plans rather than our own. That’s when we finally start to find real purpose in our everyday lives - and that’s what you’ll discover through a variety of voices and stories when you join us in May for “Open Mic”.

No matter what we believe about God, we can all agree that we live in a broken world, full of heartache and hurt. We’ve all lost something or someone – a job, a friend, a family member, a passion, a dream. Some of us feel stuck grieving what we had and couldn’t hold onto, while others feel stuck grieving what we’ve hoped for and still haven’t found. How do we live in a world full of pain without being held down by it? Join us this April for “Good Grief” as we help you find hope in the midst of hurt.

Many of us have heard stories about Jesus – how he fed 5,000 people, turned water into wine, flipped over a table at the temple… and, of course, the biggest one of all, how he died and rose again. But what do these stories actually tell us? Who was (and is) this Jesus guy really? What do the stories from his life have to do with the story of ours? Join us this March for “Jesus Who?” and find out who Jesus really is, why he came, and what that can mean for you, now.
