Julia is an SEO Consultant and Pinterest Strategist and helps her clients increase their website traffic and get the #1 spot for their keyword on Google!
She actually learned SEO and Pinterest strategies from her own travel photography site, and quit her corporate marketing job to become a freelancer. As she was writing content for business sites and optimizing them for SEO, she realized these businesses had no idea what the heck SEO was or how she was optimizing them, but they could see that they were getting more traffic and business.
That’s when she realized there was a need to help small businesses rank higher on search engines (Pinterest is a search engine, too!), and she knew how to create strategies to help businesses not only get more website traffic, but reach their ideal clients and get more business. So her career as an SEO Consultant and Pinterest Strategist was born!
IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL HEAR: * About Julias’s entrepreneurial journey to where she is today. * Why SEO matters for our businesses. * Tips to rank on google. * Why blogging and content creation are super important. * Best practices for Pinterest in 2020 * Behind the scenes of Julia’s typical day.

In the influencer space, since it is realtively new and sometimes casual, I think we forget that when services are being provided (you posting on your instagram about a brand, etc.) and in return for that work you are getting free goods or even money, there should be a contract in place. Gone are the days where an instagram DM is the way we negotiate and execute deals. Having a contract in place not only protects the brand but protects you as an influencer as well. Remember, being an influencer in a business and to protect yourself you should have not only a contract, but these important terms/sections in every one.
In this episode we go over the 9 most important things you need to include in your influencer marketing agreement.

Hey guys! I’m back today with a solo episode, and I’m talking with you about the struggle to attract and convert new clients. I want to talk with you today about a method that I want you to keep in the forefront of your mind from now on as you listen to this podcast and as you move forward in your business called, The ONE Method.
IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL HEAR:
THE ONE METHOD:
Today I am talking with Andrea Layne of The Creative Spring. Andrea spent 11 years working in corporate as a business consultant and IT Project Manager for some of the top companies in the United States. After realizing that she wasn’t able to live the life she wanted, she went out on her own and decided to pursue project management on a smaller, more creative scale as a floral wedding designer. She built and ran a successful floral wedding design company over six years. Even though she saw tremendous success in her business, she still wasn’t able to live life on her terms, which led her to starting The Creative Spring, where she helps creative entrepreneurs with systems and software, so they have a better business foundation. Tune in to hear more about how Andrea uses systems to live the life she wants to lead and teaches other entrepreneurs how to do the same.
IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL HEAR: * About Andrea’s background in IT Project Management and working as a business consultant for top companies prepared her to help entrepreneurs implement the right systems in their business to create a life they love. * What pushed her to eventually leave her corporate job, and how she ended up doing wedding floral design for seven years before she started helping other entrepreneurs work on their businesses. * How success in the corporate world and success as a wedding floral designer naturally opened up doors to help people implement systems in their business to make them run more smoothly and efficiently. * About Creative Spring, her company that helps creative entrepreneurs with systems and software to have a better business foundation, and connect their big picture vision into actionable plans with due dates and specific tasks to achieve those goals. * Where you should start when going about setting up systems in your business. * What Andrea thinks scaling her business looks like in order to maintain the balance she’s found in work and life. * The importance of setting up boundaries and how your clients should react to those boundaries.
ANDREA’S ADVICE FOR ENTREPRENEURS: “What if it could be simple? What is the simplest path? It can be really easy to complicate things and make them more than what they really are. It muddies the waters, especially in service delivery. Whenever I start to feel like it’s getting to complicated, I go back and think of what the simple path would be.”
ANDREA’S FAVORITE RESOURCES: * Systems Saved Me
Today I’m chatting with Nichole Guerrette, college professor, accountant and mother of two. Nicole is the owner of Stafford Consulting, an accounting services firm, as well as an energy and fitness company, N-er-G Fitness. Today we’re talking about how Nicole maintains balance between her life and running these two businesses. Nichole and I also discuss how mindset plays into the journey to entrepreneurship, and how we need to approach establishing the right mindset as we start a business, and throughout the years of building and growing that business. If you are just starting your journey as an entrepreneur, or if you struggle with your mindset in your business, I encourage you to tune in to my conversation with Nichole.
IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL HEAR: * About Nichole’s experience in the corporate world, and how she finally made the switch to starting her own business. * About the risks she took in the very beginning to get her business going. * The freedom she achieved through entrepreneurship to balance career and motherhood. * Why Nichole started her second business, and how she approaches each of them. * How having the right mindset will set you up for long term success. * Quick tips for switching between work mode and parenting mode. * Nichole’s strategies for developing the right mindset around your business and life.
NICHOLE’S ADVICE FOR ENTREPRENEURS: It’s your story, you can write it however you want. When you shift your mindset from the world being stacked against you because of your circumstances, to an idea that you are not limited by your past, you can own your story, and allow it to free you to understand that you can do whatever you want to do. If you are allowing your story to shape you, you will never go after what you want. But when you write your own story, you can do anything.
NICHOLE’S FAVORITE RESOURCES: * High Performance Habits by Brendon Burchard * Gabby Bernstein’s Guided Meditations * Earn Your Happy Podcast * Books by John Maxwell & Jen Sinclair
Friends, today I am excited to introduce you to Jax Ball. She is the epitome of a multi-passionate entrepreneur. Jax does a lot of things, and I think you’ll love this interview because it shines a light on the fact that you can turn the ideas and opportunities you discover into profits. My interview with Jax will inspire and encourage you to believe you can run more than one profitable business that you are passionate about.
IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL HEAR: * How Jax got found her passion for entrepreneurship at a young age. * How she views everything she does as an opportunity to increase her profits. * Why she holds on to a more “traditional” side-hustle while she creates multiple additional revenue streams. * How she has learned to always pursue what she’s passionate about, even when that means letting go of a business for a season, or permanently. * How she’s able to make the decision to “sunset” businesses when she needs to take a step back for her family or herself. * How seeing trends on social media and from bloggers led her to start an import business from Bali, importing furniture and home decor. * How she found ways to give back during her time in Bali while building her import business. * How her mindset allows her to maintain a balance in life, family, and business.
JAX’S ADVICE FOR ENTREPRENEURS: You don’t have to stay in one lane. You can diversify your business portfolio and try new things and sometime you’ll love it and sometimes you won’t, and you can move on to the next. Be open to have multiple revenue flows at the same time. Be open to finding opportunity in things you genuinely enjoy and be okay to change your focus as you grow as an individual and mature in business.
