“Come as you are” is a podcast that entails spirituality, relationship over religion , faith over fear, and transparency. In the Bible, this phrase is embedded in scriptures where the Father uses the word “come” to emphasize and let people know that it’s okay to come into his presence as who they are in order to be transformed and made new regardless of who they were, are, and yet to be. Whether they’re dirty, rich, poor, black, white, whatever skin color or race. Regardless of the trauma, anxiety, or depression. He is willing to accept you for WHO YOU ARE.
Surrender your timeline to God. Break up with the image you’ve created yourself to be in your mind, and instead look to God and ask Him who He has made you to be. Learn to take that leap of faith, without being afraid of falling, cause God will always be there to pick you up. Make a move from the position you feel comfortable in(your fears, past, anxieties etc). Grow in patience and do not compare yourself to someone else. Let go and let God.
At times when I can’t find the right words to say to a God, I write Him letters. I hope this impacts or resonate with you somehow. God bless.
It’s funny how I recorded this December of 2020, and completely forgot about it and then this morning I was just randomly scrolling through my voice memos and then I clicked on this and I teared up.
It is also amazing how God works in mysterious ways, ways you and I cannot comprehend. Because there was no better time to be reassured of who HE is than now, through this voice memo. Because I’ve been in a season of dryness, emptiness, fear, doubt and uncertainty, trying to revive my soul. And now I know TRULY who God is, and who he says I am. I am His, and NOTHING can separate us.
So to the person listening to this I pray and hope that you find your worth in Christ and turn to HIM now rather than later. Because he is always there to pick you up. God loves you. Trust God
A poem I wrote in December, which was more of a letter to God. Because those were the moments I felt despair, doubt, uncertainty, and distance. So I wrote Him a letter telling him how I truly felt, because sometimes I find it hard to pray and to just be lost in his presence, and I know and believe that I am not the only one who feels this way. So, i hope you’re able to relate to this. Stay blessed and remember God loves you as you are.
God wants an intimate relationship with us, but we struggle to know our worth. We struggle with this idea of “Not being good enough” which can sometimes be a lie from the enemy, but only IF we let it determine who we are. So I believe God is using me as a vessel to tell you to LET GO, let go of that though and instead make a move, do something about it instead of living in that thought. Find an outlet to express the feelings bottled up inside you. Talk to someone, talk to GOD. God loves you! But you also have to take the first step to draw closer to Him because he is waiting for you. So just come as you are. I hope this blesses you.
