We're back after a good little break, and there's much to discuss about the current state of SEC football, including the epic showdown between Georgia and Tennessee, Vecna finally coming for Bryan Harsin, the train coming off the tracks in College Station, and oh yeah Alabama and LSU too I guess.
Football is back! What a wild ride it was in Knoxville. Is Nick Saban actually a bad coach? Many people are saying it. Plus, we talk about the quiet inevitability of Brian Kelly, Josh Heupel managing a Feed and Seed, and the return of the valiant and brave Kentucky Wildcats. Plus Vecna continues to wait on Bryan Harsin - perhaps he is getting impatient?
Don't know if you've heard, but football is canceled. Wait, checks notes we are still moving on with the season despite Tennessee being good, Ben's dreams of Vanderbilt being good starting to end, and Kentucky losing in extremely sad fashion. Hopefully the one combined episode trend will not continue, but who can say at this point.
Two in one this week, why aren't you lucky? After their trip to DC, Ben and Brittany are back with a run through last week's games and a look at the slate this weekend. We discuss important things such as how close Vecna is to Bryan Harsin, whether Brittany's head was close to exploding with Missouri's trumpet music, and how feasible it would be to put ten TVs in their basement. Week 5 seems to be a promising week, what with five conference matchups on the docket. Ben and Brittany run through the lot of them, including an update on the Luther Burden drama in Missouri, some of the antics that happen when LSU plays Auburn, and an extended debate on which SEC schools are "camo schools" in light of Ole Miss's camo uniforms for their game this weekend.
A wild week ends with Ben and Brittany discussing the fallout of the Oink Doink, the crushing inevitability of Tennessee being good, and the glorious return of Auburn Jesus. Plus Brittany learns what a "push" is in gambling and seems determined to break the rules of Betting With Brittany.
A day late but not a dollar short. It's a ridiculous preview of the week's games - hope you can get it in before the games begin. We take a tour of the Rattlesnake Classic, Charlotte's ridiculous mascot origin story, and an analysis of the homecoming candidates at Auburn this season. Plus we take a tour of the various Kent State mascots throughout the years - there's really a lot of mascot news to be fair. We also bet with Brittany, and Brittany continues her crisp analysis for picking out her Lock of the Week.

Only two days late but better late than never, Brittany and Ben are breaking down the games that happened two months ago...oh wait, just three days? Wow. Anyways, we discuss LSU's narrative-changing win, Florida and Arkansas's brushes with mortal peril, Auburn's bout with real peril, and Georgia becoming the dementors of college football. Plus a scary fly makes us pee our pants a bit.
It's not the most exhilarating slate of games this weekend in the SEC, but there's much to say about Mississippi State's quiet run to power in the SEC West, Brittany's theory that Auburn is tearing up their airport runways to screw with Penn State, and some more dumping on Texas A&M as that is the thing to do. We don't speak much of Nick Saban's latest rant, but you know that's something you could look up yourself. Plus a variety of what seems to be non-competitive games, plus our Locks of the Week and Betting with Brittany.
Whoo deep breaths, that was some weekend. Ben and Brittany break down their major takeaways from the weekend, including the sneaky Mississippis, Alabama's potential playmaker problem, teams with quarterback struggles, and the rise of the Kentucky Wildcats to national prominence. There are some other things too, but I'm writing this summary a night after we recorded, so I can't quite remember anything else...but I'm sure there's some other pearls hidden inside!

It's Week Two! And we are after the happenings in SEC football as the conference prepares to continue its dominance for another week...and maybe LSU will win too. (Hey, look what Coach O is up to!) Brittany and Ben dive into all the games, including the Horns Down controversy with Alabama coming to town, the latest updates on Vanderbilt's quest for five wins, and Brittany's new love affair with Florida. Plus our Lock of the Weeks, Betting with Brittany, and our new segment - Mike Leach's Musings.
And RIP to Queen Elizabeth II, one of the greatest of us all. Perhaps though, quite telling, is this report of the first football game that the new sovereign - Charles III - saw in the United States...
Week 1 is in the books, with all SEC teams getting off to great starts - except for the Fighting Bengal Tigers. We make an express trip around all the games and talk about who impressed, who failed to live up to the hype, and who had a weather delay. Plus we question the necessity for extra points, wonder about how many Stetson Bennetts there are out in the world, and revisit the impending undefeated season that the Vanderbilt Commodores are marching toward. Look out for a new format for our recap weeks starting next week!
It's football time in the South! And everywhere else for that matter, as SEC teams across the land begin their quests for immortality. Or in Vanderbilt's case, its continuation of greatness. Ben and Brittany take a look at the games on this week's docket and settle the important things, such as what exactly is a bearcat, figuring out that Utah is actually good at football, and going through the indignity of an internet outage on the first night of college football proper.
So Brittany and Ben are back again for a look at the SEC West for this season, otherwise known as Alabama's punching bag...unless there's a generational quarterback talent that can wrestle the power away for a hot minute (spoiler - that QB does not exist in this iteration). We see Ben fail to do math properly, Brittany defend Sweet Sam Pittman, and Ben finds out what a panhandle actually means. Plus an endorsement for chaos in Mississippi and a plea for some sort of joy in College Station. And other things. But mostly how Alabama owns the world and perhaps beyond.
Well it's that time of year - SEC football is nigh. We begin with a detailed discussion about our expectations with the SEC East, otherwise known as Georgia's punching bag. We talk through if Josh Heupel should be coaching football, if you would rather have mayonnaise or ketchup dumped on you, and the outrageous controversy surrounding (name redacted), the beloved South Carolina mascot. Additionally, Ben goes on a crusade to advocate for a drastically improved Vanderbilt (which you definitely should ignore as Hawaii just marched all over them for an opening touchdown at the time of this writing).
A few days late, but we sat down to talk through the big stories and big impressions from what was a fairly dull week at SEC Media Days. BUT! There's talk of Sam's slobbering hog, Shane Beamer's next social media swoon, and what Clark Lea really meant by saying we will all bow down to Vandy. Plus Nick Saban doing some chores. Also plus, we learn what Brittany means by "weed wacking."
Only the Egg Bowl could bring you such poetry as the title suggests, and for whoever coined the phrase that encapsulates the madness of the 2019 Egg Bowl, well, good job my friend. One of the more memorable moments in recent college football lore is the center of Ben and Brittany's discussion, along with analysis of who is truly at fault(?) for this game being remembered. The jarring ramifications of this game are also discussed, along with thoughts on whether the "double dismiss" was inevitable even with the "piss" and "miss."

This is the FIRST episode of our new series called Under Review! We start with Mr. Omaha himself - Peyton Manning. Ben and Brittany hit the road with the girls to visit four SEC towns and campuses, and they take time this week to reflect on their travels. So if you find yourself with two toddlers and the itch to visit the SEC campuses in Auburn, Tuscaloosa, Starkville, and Oxford, well listen up for some tips and tales.
If you are interested in the future of SEC football scheduling, Ben and Brittany discuss the ramifications of the two final models up for consideration. Can the world survive without Tennessee vs. Alabama every year? But plot twist, have Tennessee and Alabama actually played the last 15 years? Who can say? This and more on this episode.

As we continue to celebrate mascots in the SEC, we are diving into the delightful, graceful, and beautiful Miss Rev of Aggie Country. What a joy and a treat! In this episode, we learn about what does it take for a class to be canceled at Texas A&M, if it's ever appropriate to steal a dog, and what exactly happens to Lassie.
We begin a new series on mascots in the SEC. The first episode is more of a general focus on mascots in general - the history, the pageantry, and what we look to see in our mascots - both live and costumed. Look out for more discussions on SEC mascots as we move through the next couple of months!

We all shed a tear for Kentucky's loss against Georgia, well except for all the Georgia fans. We also navigated through the rest of the madness from Week 7, including Tennessee's littering spree against Ole Miss, LSU's swan song for Coach O, and Alabama's return to form against Mississippi State. The year is halfway over but there's so much more to come!
Alright friends, it's time for the annual Osborne Civil War - Kentucky vs. Georgia. This year, there's a bit more on the table as the Cats and Dawgs battle for supremacy in the SEC East. Brittany's Least Favorite Week of Marriage just got harder
The adventures of SEC Football move on, and the question everyone is asking is what is so mean about the color green? Well that's what Missouri will be asking this week. As for the serious games, Ben and Brittany dive in to what Arkansas and Ole Miss can do to get over their humblings last week, what Bo Nix will be running from with Jordan Davis in his rear view mirror, and the lack of inspiration that South Carolina versus Tennessee brings. Plus Brittany enjoys some wine and Ben continues to annoy everyone with his sound drops (Brittany wrote that part).
Excuse us while we shed a tear of joy about Kentucky's win over Florida, but there's much more to talk about. Auburn Jesus rises in Baton Rouge, the Dawgs and Tide continue their death march through the SEC, and Tennessee rises to become an interesting challenger in the East. Meanwhile, it's a tough time for Jimbo, O, Eli, and Dan. Brittany also perseveres despite broken headphones and a 1940's microphone, while Ben breaks his chair. It's an action-packed episode!

Ben and Brittany apologize for coming to see you a day late this week for our preview, but we have much to say about an exciting week of SEC football that is on deck. Additionally, we play around with our new tech that makes us sound somewhat legitimate. Ben also shares his latest Netflix recommendations and Brittany talks about the Great British Baking Show for a short time.
Week 4 of SEC football was honestly more exciting than we made it out to be, but it's a week to set up the glory that is coming next week. We talk about Auburn's divine intervention, the Year of the Pig, and other such things. If there ever was an episode where it's amazing we talked about SEC football for a full 40 minutes, this was the one!

We congratulate Brittany for calling the LSU loss (Ben had LSU losing as well), and we discuss the twin titans of the SEC (Dawgs and Tide) amongst other things. SEC Media Days rolls on with Georgia's Kirby Smart, Tennessee's Josh Heupal, Kentucky's Mark Stoops, and Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss - oh my bad, Ole Miss's Lane Kiffin. We talk about our reflections from their comments and goodness knows what else. Brittany gives her casting ideas for these coaches as well which is sure to spark controversy and outrage.
The annual pilgrimage to Hoover begins with the first day of SEC Media Days. Commissioner Greg Sankey gives his State of the SEC address, followed by visits from Dan Mullen (Florida), Ed Orgeron (LSU), and Shane Beamer (South Carolina). Beamer wins the day with this tweet that imitated this tweet, but we had good things to say about all involved.

There's never a dull moment in Oxford, and there was much to talk about with the Ole Miss Rebels over the last decade. From lawsuits to escort services to torturing Alabama to urinating in the end zone, Ole Miss often serves as comic relief in the SEC West. Over the last decade, Ole Miss did something that no other SEC team has done - beat Alabama in consecutive games. Yet the program has had several valleys to navigate, and most of those valleys were self-inflicted. With Oxford now all aboard the Lane Train, Ole Miss should continue to be the source of much fun.

Our SEC Primers series heads on to Auburn and the usually extraordinary and unfathomable adventures of the Tigers. What started with one of the most dominant seasons in college football history with the one and only Cam Newton at quarterback meandered into several indifferent seasons as War Eagle attempted to keep up with their neighbors in Tuscaloosa.
