We can relate to the prophet Habakkuk. He too saw a lot of lawlessness and ungodliness going on in his day, and he asked God, "How long will You allow this to go on before You correct the situation?" And he wasn't too pleased at first with God's solution. We must learn, as did Habakkuk, to surrender to God's superior knowledge and His way of orchestrating things. Continuing "The Book of the Twelve" series on the minor prophets, Pastor Aaron takes us through the book of Joel. The focus of Joel seems to basically be a call to repentance, but there are lessons to be learned from what happens when we don't as opposed to when we do repent.
Beginning a 12-week series on the minor prophets, or The Book of The Twelve, Pastor Aaron looks at the main theme of the book of Hosea. What stands out about Hosea is that he was married to an unfaithful wife, and God told him to go and reclaim her as his own. This is a powerful picture of God's love for us. Even though we've not always been faithful to Him, He still loves us and desires to reclaim every single one of us as His own.
Finishing up the Leadership series, Pastor Aaron ties it all together in this message. Bar none, Jesus was the greatest leader of all time. The best way to shape our own lives as leaders is to imitate the ways of Jesus. Period.
