Jacqueline has also trained in Havening and EMDR and has completed specialist post qualifying training in sleep and nutrition.Prior to training as a Clinical Hypnotherapist in 2016, Jacqueline worked as a Social Worker in the field of child protection, having qualified in 1997 from the University of Northumbria.Jacqueline explains in episode one of the podcast why she made the decision to leave social work and retrain as a Clinical Hypnotherapist. Jacqueline now specialises in helping professional women improve their health and well-being by getting rid of addictions and bad habits, reducing and managing stress so they eat well and exercise regularly and become the best version of themselves.

In this episode Jacqueline explains what stress is, why we feel stress and what the effect is on the body.  Jacqueline gives examples of the different types of stress and explains that not all stress is bad for us however prolonged stress can be  harmful and therefore we need to learn to manage it otherwise we could be at risk of illness.

Jacqueline suggests taking some time to think about all the areas of your life where stress could be lurking and writing  these down so you can begin to identify any chronic stress and how you may start to make a plan to eliminate or reduce this stress.

In this first episode Jacqueline explains how being diagnosed with breast cancer made her re-evaluate her life and realise that she had been slowly killing herself for years.  She talks about how the diagnosis made her feel and how it made her take responsibility for her health and ultimately her life.
Jacqueline discusses how the cancer forced her to change career and how this helped her to stop smoking and drinking, setting her off on a path to help others do the same.
