THIS STUFF IS BIBLICAL:
Proverbs 22:7 - The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.
Proverbs 13:11 - Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow
Proverbs 30:24-25 - Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer
Proverbs 13:22 - Good people leave an inheritance to their grandchildren, but the sinner’s wealth passes to the godly.
Proverbs 21:20 - The wise have wealth and luxury, but fools spend whatever they get.
And about GIVING:
Proverbs 3:9-10 - Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the first of all your produce; So your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine.
Malachi 3:10 - Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
But don't forget about God in all this. It's HIS money, and we're just managers.
Philippians 4:19: And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

Our son, Drew (13), was feeling left out, so we decided to interview him. Surprisingly he had quite a lot to say, all unprompted. We've got a 'kids and money' episode on the docket, but this shows how important it is to teach money, and how much can even be picked up just by having a healthy relationship with money!

Now that you've filled out the budget homework you can see some areas of spending that you may need to change. Be an adult and change them. It's TEMPORARY. You can get better stuff later. Make a sacrifice today for a better financial position later.
AND NO MORE MONEY FIGHTS! That alone should be a huge win. We're spending it on paper first, so when we spend it in real life, there's no surprise.
