You have made God an acquaintance.
Acquaintance is a person one knows slightly but it’s not a close friend.
And this is how I felt me and my Lord Jesus Christ relationship were becoming in the likes of an acquaintance. And I don’t desire that, because he calls me his own and a friend. And I want that And I need that, to be his, to be a friend of God, not an enemy or acquaintance. I want to know him closely and for him to know me.
And I sense and know I’m not the only one who is in this state or feels this way. That God has become an acquaintance in our life.
We acknowledge him briefly in the time of our want and need.
We know slightly of him and don’t make time to truly know him.
And because we have made him an acquaintance. He doesn’t matter much in our daily life’s and neither does he make a great impact on our choices.
Because a friend is whom you confide in, not an acquaintance.
