Hey MWP Family,

2023 has certainly been a year, and if you have experienced wins or loses, a takeaway to consider is the fact that we are still here today giving us the opportunity succeed in life at whatever level God has allowed us to be. With that being said don't settle for less than your God given potential. As an influential woman in my life would often say, " The sky is not the limit, but only the limit to our imagination or expectation." Mother Marilyn Clark

I looked forward with anticipation to another season on Mornings with Pleas' the podcast, good health, hope and prosperous living for us all. Thank you for tuning in and being a part of the Mornings with Pleas' the podcast community I appreciate you!

Hey all!!
Back at it again. Here we are with another interesting conversation on in which I find intriguing and helpful at the same time.

It's no secret that we all at some point will experience trouble, hardship, challenges etc. But why just go through struggles aimlessly and not by the grace of God walk away but with something.

I rather come out with a win rather than nothing at all whatever form that may take, life is hard enough but God if faithful. Let's learn from our mistakes.

Hey good people!
In this episode we have a conversation about a challenging topic, and that is facing yourself. In many cases for things, we may not want to deal with we tend to avoid. Avoiding personal issues is not the solution to a resolution.

It is inevitable that we face obstacles that causes us to struggle. In some cases, we don't have to struggle however it's a choice. For me I decided to not struggle with issues I may face rather I decided to do exactly what the word of God say, " Cast all your care on him for he cares for you".

So, if this is you let's win at this thing called life without un-necessary struggle.

Thanks for listening, Keep looking up!

In this episode I talk about Seizing the moment and taking advantage of windows of opportunity. Have you ever said "What if":

  • I fail
  • They don't like it/me
  • Someone else is doing it?

We all have our own issues wins and loses however I believe that God have something greater for us in our unique and individual lives and as my former Pastor use to say all the time, "it's a faith walk".  So if there is something that you would love to do and it would be a benefit, but you've been putting off for no real reason I challenge you to pray about it step out on faith and jump!

If this podcast has been a blessing to you, please share with someone once again thanks for listening family.

Good day family,
In this episode I had a great conversation with my daughter Erika, and I think you're going to enjoy this conversation as well.  Erika has a unique perspective on the subject and offers a compelling story.

For anyone in need of encouragement this certainly fits the bill. Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in their midst.

I hope you enjoy the episode.

Forward motion is - the act of moving forward (as towards a goal) progress, advancement. From birth we're taught to progress by learning how to crawl, walk, run, talk and etc. We then go through levels of education through schools, college or trades to acquire skills necessary to thrive in society and life along with our journey to learn we set goals to better our position, however as life happens circumstances occur that causes delay, stoppages or even redirection in plans towards your goals.

That can be defined as a setback a disruption in our plans, it can either cause one to take on the mind set of being defeated and they give up or cause of one to take on the mind set of having a Resistant Mindset with a hopeful attitude.

James 1:2-3 says it like this.

2My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. In this episode my goal is to identify the idea of a setback and the mindset of resilience. I want to encourage you to relay on God as our source and strength in this life that we live and in fact live an abundant life in Christ.

Procrastination by definition the action of delaying or postponing something. Many think it means being lazy and in fact it has nothing to do with procrastination.

In this episode I share some interesting information on the subject of procrastination. Sit back and relax and have a conversation with me on this complex issue.

How much do we potentially overlook or miss due to our schedule or someone else's schedule? Maybe something was important that was said and happened to be time sensitive however being preoccupied with something else caused us to miss out.

In this episode we have a brief conversation about be present in the moment. This topic seems highly simplified however our minds are so highly sensitized by information overload fast paced lives that it appears we miss the simple things.

I hope you enjoy this episode comment, subscribe and share with someone you feel may benefit. Keep looking up!

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) the following statistics show the percentages of people in the U.S. affected by mental health issues.

  • 22.8% of U.S. adults experienced mental illness in 2021 (57.8 million people). This represents 1 in 5 adults.
  • 5.5% of U.S. adults experienced serious mental illness in 2021 (14.1 million people). This represents 1 in 20 adults.
  • 16.5% of U.S. youth aged 6-17 experienced a mental health disorder in 2016 (7.7 million people)
  • 7.6% of U.S. adults experienced a co-occurring substance use disorder and mental illness in 2021 (19.4 million people)

In this episode we have a conversation on, Pay attention to your mental health. From my own opinion it seems that we underestimate mental health or the lack thereof, I can attest to that personally. I believe not until one takes a self-assessment of oneself you can easily misinterpret what is going on with you.

So, I pray that this conversation gives you some insight and a clear path towards better and with Gods help we're going to be alright!

Thanks for listening

In this episode I explore the topic Relevance. As I was going through it, I realized that I was just scratching the surface on this topic. This conversation speaks to the question of personal relevance as it relates to what one has done, is doing and potentially what they will or will not do.  And because of that should it have any bearing on one's relevance?

We are seemingly attacked from all sides externally as well as internally asking the question are you relevant.  So sit back and take a listen and see if this episode stirs your thoughts in a positive for better because of course you are relevant!

Thanks

Change is something that is inevitable and unavoidable, some change is good and some change not so much. However, we are constantly in a season of change and in its proper context can be used to help us grow and move towards a more purposed and fulfilled life.  A seed in a flower pot grows no larger than the size of the pot.  Need a larger pot maybe?

In this episode on the topic of change, I am in no wise a doctor nor a clinical psychologist so I offer no medical advice, however by the grace of God I am an ordained minister and with his help I offer biblical truths, inspiration and practical application.

I hope you enjoy the episode and find it helpful

In this episode we shine a light on the ways and means of travel by which the African American during a time that civility was not afforded to them .  Since this is Black History month I wanted to share this interesting find and way of life during the Jim Crow era giving a glimpse of what it was like to live in that time.

Its unfortunate that the remnants of racism still exist but this scripture reads, "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people". Proverbs 14:34
