Kyle Nahirniak joins us to talk about the Round Hill Renaissance Agriculture Foundation (RHRAF). Kyle is a farmer who was born and raised in Round Hill and is an active community member and participant in the RHRAF.
The Round Hill Renaissance Agriculture Foundation was created by the community of Round Hill in 2020. In September 2020, the Foundation was incorporated under the Societies Act of Alberta.The idea for the Foundation began back in February 2020, when the parents and community of Round Hill made a proposal to the Battle River School Division to develop an Agriculture based learning program within Round Hill School. With community gardens, food forest, binzebo and more, this is a rural community initiative that you will want to hear about!

Wyatt Langille joins us from Detention Brewing Co. in the village of Rosalind, Alberta. Wyatt and his family are alumni of the Rosalind School that was shut down in 2013. Along with his parents, they decided to buy the school and turn it into a brewery! Now the school is once again a place in the community where people gather, have fun and learn! It is always a good day when you are talking about cattle! Adam Black from Irvineside Cattle Company joins me in this episode to answer some questions about the cattle show world. Have you ever wondered what is going on at a cattle show? Why are these shows important? Is cattle shampoo a real thing? This is the episode for you!
Adam was born and raised in Ontario. After high school, he completed his post secondary education at Olds College where he received his diploma in Agricultural Management and applied degree in Agriculture Business. Today along with his brother Taylor, they operate Irvineside Cattle Company which mainly focuses on raising and showing Charolais and Black Angus genetics.

Indigenous Tourism Alberta (ITA) is a non-profit organization devoted to help grow and promote authentic, sustainable and culturally rich Indigenous tourism experiences.
Brown is a First Nations Cree Woman from the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation and currently resides in Amiskwaciwaskahikan, Edmonton. Brown has a background as a performer, drummer, tourism entrepreneur, philanthropist and advocate for at-risk youth in the Edmonton area in addition to her past roles in Indigenous Tourism Development with both the Government of Alberta and Edmonton Tourism.
Brown is well known across Alberta for performing with her mom as “Warrior Women.” Together they drum and teach around Alberta for the Northern Alberta Teachers Conference, the annual Jasper Dark Skies Festival, Youth Dream Catchers Conference, Canada Day, Aboriginal Day festivities and more.
In addition to drumming, Brown is also an avid acrylic artist and traditional First Nations crafts artisan. Her art has been featured in the Pump House Gallery, the Edson Gallery Museum, the Gray Gallery Grant MacEwan, recognized for the Alberta Indian Arts and Crafts Award of 2017, featured for the Alberta Business Competition 2017 and sold to people travelling worldwide at Jasper Park Lodge. Brown has also been awarded the 2019 Esquao Award for Children’s Future, the 2019 Indigenous Woman of the year award from the Alberta Assembly of First Nations and the Top 30 under 30 from the Alberta Corporation for Global Cooperation 2020.

Our first guest is Don Gregorwich, former Reeve of Camrose County. We were delighted that Don agreed to share his wit and wisdom on our podcast before retiring this week.
