It was Manchester United who left it late at the London Stadium on Sunday morning vs West Ham. 2-1 was the final score, but everything seemed to heat up just at the stroke of the 90th minute. Jesse Lingard's eventual winner proved to be the redemption he was looking for after the debacle over the week in the Champions League. Cristiano Ronaldo scored again of course. It is now his 4th goal for the club in his second stint with Manchester United. News around the Premier League and of course football all around the Europe is analyzed here with the utmost precision. It was a different story mid week in the Champions League opener. It was more than exciting to see Cristiano back in the Theater of Dreams. The Red Devils are top of the league after 4 matches and look to stay that way. This has been the wildest transfer window in my lifetime and it is not even close. So many moves and deals that will shape the footballing landscape for the next couple years and also some moves that seem to be inevitable in the future. This just another example that sport is not just sport in this day and age, but even more of a corporation as ever. It was Manchester United grabbing all three points late in the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium. Mason Greenwood scored in the 80th minute to seal the win for United. It wasn't the best performance for the Reds, but it was one that they had to grind out to get the win. Elsewhere, Arsenal lost, badly. Liverpool and Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw at Anfield, but it was a red card that stole the headlines. Messi starts on the bench for PSG, but comes on in the 66th minute vs Reims. Juventus begin life without Cristiano Ronaldo with a lose to Empoli. And finally, Patrick Mahomes ranked the number 1 player in the 2020 NFL season by his peers. Thoughts?

It is a done deal. Cristiano Ronaldo is coming home to play his football for the red side of Manchester. United have swayed Ronaldo who was originally on his way to Manchester City. It seems like overnight, some former and current United players spoke with Cristiano and told him not to sign with City. Ultimately, it is United who sign the 36 year old Portuguese man from Juventus for around 25-30 million dollars.

It was Manchester United playing to a 1-1 draw over the weekend. It wasn't the best showing for the Reds away from home, but they were still able to extend the unbeaten run away from home. If they can draw or win against Wolves on Sunday, they will have the record which is very impressive in the toughest league in the world. City proved their dominance as they put 5 past Norwich City and Liverpool beat Burnley 2-0, the story was Chelsea manhandling Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates in London. Lukaku got his goal and it looked as if their was nothing Arsenal could do to stop him. Run down of the next batch of football matches as well as transfer news. Well that was fun. After the Bucks took game 3, we all knew that last night's game 4 was going to mean so much for both sides. Without doubt, it lived up to whatever hype was created because throughout the entire game, I was on the verge of my seat, especially down the stretch. Giannis providing big plays on both sides of the ball and Kris Middleton went toe to toe with Devin Booker to grab a much needed win at the Fiserv Forum. Milwaukee will be looking to build on the momentum going into an absolutely decisive game 5 in Phoenix. I'm diving into the analysis from game 4 and a preview of a huge game 5 on the way.

The Azzurri have done it! They came back to defeat the Three Lions at Wembley Stadium to capture the European Championship in 2021. For Italy, they continue to improve upon the massive 34 match unbeaten run. It is also very easy to see that this Italian squad embodies and resembles Roberto Mancini, their manager. For England, it was a very positive tournament in which they were able to exercise some demons by defeating nations the likes of Croatia and Germany, who gave them troubles in the past. In the end, they fall in the final to an Italian side who most would say was the best squad throughout the competition. In the NBA Finals, it was the Phoenix Suns who were able to secure homecourt against the Bucks by defeating them in games 1 and 2, but last night's game 3 in Milwaukee was a different story. Giannis dropped 41 points in 38 minutes and got a game for the Bucks. Game 4 is obviously a huge game for many reasons, and we'll see what stories transpire as the days go on.

The NBA finals are set and the Phoenix Suns are ready to take on the Milwaukee Bucks. It has been a really long time coming for both of these franchises and the jubilation from the fans has resonated all throughout the NBA community. As a neutral, this series is everything you can ask for. Great offenses and top notch defenses going all out for the chip. In other news, the European Championships have been extremely entertaining. For the first time since 1993, the Phoenix Suns are NBA Finals bound! It has been a long time coming, but with the help of corner stone superstar Devin Booker, top tier coach Monty Williams, and aging legend Chris Paul. Add dynamic role players such as Jae Crowder, Cam Payne, Cam Johnson, and Deandre Ayton. For the clippers, it was the first time they have been to the conference finals in their history. Despite the injuries, it wasn't a bad first season under Ty Lue, but they will look to stay healthy next year and run it back. In the eastern conference, no Trae Young and no Giannis. Milwaukee was able to win and take a 3-2 lead in the series. The all decisive game 6 will be Saturday.

Jadon Sancho is on his way to Manchester United (FINALLY). Both Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund have agreed to a $101 million transfer fee. Of course this move does not close up all the holes in the side, but Sancho brings a bit of strength, flavor, and class on upfront on the right side and even on the left if need be. In the NBA, the conference finals take another twist as Giannis goes down with a knee injury which is reported to be not as serious as it looked. Trae Young did not play in the pivotal game 4, and is a question mark for game five, as is Giannis. Injuries have been dictating these playoffs, but let the best team win.

The Phoenix Suns are one win away from eliminating the LA Clippers in the Western Conference Finals tonight in game 5. With the series shifting back to Phoenix with the Suns up 3-1, they have a golden opportunity to return to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1993. On the Eastern conference, Atlanta is going to be battling more than just the Milwaukie Bucks. After the game, and with the Bucks now leading the series 2-1, it's been revealed that Trae Young picked up an injury in game 3 and will be questionable gong into game 4. More updates to follow.

With the NBA conference finals set, looking back at the Game 7's that led us to this point will be fun. Kevin Durant dropped 48 points and Trae Young shot a dismal 5 for 23, but it's the Atlanta Hawks moving on and the Brooklyn Nets going home respectfully. Clearly injuries have absolutely destroyed the genuine fun of the post-season (for various reasons that I will not get into), nevertheless it has been great for players that you would never hear of to get opportunities. It is going to be amazing to comes out on top in this last month of basketball.

It was Villareal who lifted the Europa League trophy at the end of the penalty shootout against Manchester United on Thursday night. For the Spanish side, it caps off a middle-of-the pack season in La Liga as they finished 7th. For the English side, it is nothing less than shameful. The embarrassment can be smelled all the way over here in Moreno Valley and it is really pitiful. Ole has questions to be answered and so do many players on that football club. After this match was called off a week and a half ago due to the protestors getting on to the pitch at Old Trafford, the game was finally played out and in a game where Liverpool needed a win to keep pace in the Champions League race, they got the crucial three points against their rivals on the road. For United, this game was much more about pride than actual positioning being that their second place marker will most likely remain until the end of the season. They are mainly focused on the Europa League final and getting everyone healthy before then. Manchester City are not only in the champions of England, but they also have the opportunity to become champions of Europe as well. They face off against Chelsea in the Champions League final.

Manchester United were again at the forefront of controversy this week and it was not for good reason. It was a dark couple of days for football as a whole. The supposed "big" clubs in the world showed who they really are and Owners were publicly embarrassed on a grand scale. The proposed "Super league" was a huge joke ran by more jokes. Manchester United displayed an enormous amount of guts to pull of a second half masterclass they way they did in North London over the weekend. The Hosts were essentially put to the sword by the visitors in the second 45 minutes. Ole's men showed that even with a match mid week, they can play well against "big" sides. It took everything and it definitely wasn't easy, but Manchester United are through to the quarterfinals of the Europa League via a 1-0 win at the San Siro. Milan were the victims of Manchester United's superb away record which now stretches to 23 games unbeaten away from Old Trafford. It's an amazing accomplishment for the Manchester side, but surely they know now that this competition is there's to lose. Manchester United concede a late set piece goal to give AC Milan a draw at Old Trafford during the week. A Milan side that was multiple key players I might add. Some would say that they made up for that performance by keeping a clean sheet versus the Hammers in Manchester. Either way, United are going to have to travel to Italy for the reverse leg during the week. They will put that away record they have on the line on Thursday evening at the San Siro.
