Your past does not determine your worth as a person. We’ve all had trials and tribulations, some greater than others. Some of us prayed our way through trials and tribulations, some of us medicated ourselves through it with legal and illegal drugs, some of us sought out therapy, and some of us had an amazing support system. No matter the method used to get you through those tough times, you got through it. In the words of J. Cole- We ain’t perfect, but we’re WORTH IT.
If I asked you “ what’s your WHY?” How would you answer me? What’s your why for pursing goals in life? Opening that business? Leaving that toxic environment? Going to college? Starting that nonprofit? Leaving that draining hostile job? Do you have a WHY in life, and how is your why affecting your everyday life?
Romans 10:13 states “ For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Salina talks about how she called out to God in her lowest moments of life, and how he saved her.
Salina talks about uncovering her buried trauma to become the individual that Christ is calling her to be. Salina’s trauma was domestic violence. Salina informs readers on the different types of domestic violence, and how each played a part in her abuse.
