St. Patrick Catholic Community is a community of Christian Disciples in Mission seeking to know, love, and serve God. We gather to hear God’s Word, feast at the table of the Lord, and then be sent forth empowered by the Holy Spirit. We are living beyond Sunday, seeking to encounter all people with an openness to hear their stories, inviting them into their spiritual home, walking together on a journey to deepen our relationship with God. Our podcasts extend this mission as an inclusive voice to reach people where they are. Through this show, we evangelize and engage by helping people contemplate, reflect, and participate in their faith beyond Sunday. THE GRACE AND LEGACY OF VATICAN COUNCIL II In this session presented by Fr. Ray Carey, recorded 1/28/13, Fr. Ray tapped into the joy and profound revolution and renewal prompted by Blessed Pope John’s Council, and looked at ways to keep the spirit of the Council alive in our day.
What was in the heart of Jesus? To understand the teachings of Jesus it helps to know what the daily life was like for Jesus and what his surroundings were like. These things had profound influence on his teachings and why he chose certain things to teach on.
Jesus never talked about God as God but God as relationship. The phrase Reign of God is used 120 times while the word church is used only twice. He did not preach doctrine rather he preached an event, an experience, a relationship of belonging.
Fr. André Dargis and Dr. John Konicek,Theologian break open Pope Francis' Encyclical on "Care for Our Common Home." For the first time ever this important encyclical on protecting creation was addressed not only to Catholics but everyone on earth. Please listen to this important podcast. Taking time to really know what Pope Francis is saying helps us form a better understanding of what God wants from us as stewards of creation.
In the first chapter of the Letter to the Ephesians, the author offers a sustained blessing that reveals God’s glorious and lavish grace to all who follow Jesus, who are “in Christ.” In a joyful and hopeful reflection, we will unpack something of the wonder of that message of living “in Christ.”

We are not simply guests of God, but sharers in the mission of inviting everyone to God’s table. The time for silence is past; it is time to become a voice of hope.
Joel Stepanek has been actively involved in ministry for over ten years and is currently the Director of Resource Development for Life Teen International where he creates engaging youth ministry resources for middle and high school students. He is the author of two books, and received his Master’s degree in religious education from Fordham University in New York City.
Parishioner Kevin Peck spoke to the men of the parish on Saturday, January 20 at the Men's Mass & Breakfast. Kevin, married to Christine and a father to three girls, Kevin ministers on The Edge Middle School Ministry Core Team as well as The Life Teen High School Core Team. He also plays drums in the music ministry. Growing up a Mennonite and converting to Catholicism as an adult, Kevin shared about the importance of prayer and the Eucharist in his life.

From a Roman prison, Paul, "in chains," writes to his converts in the thoroughly Roman city of Philippi to thank them for their supportive gift. In his letter, Paul specifies how being "in Christ" is an enterprise of joy, even in the midst of suffering. Paul's advice to his beloved Philippians applies to us as well, teaching us that the joy of our lives is proclaiming "Jesus Christ is Lord!"
" The Art of Forgiveness"- January 30, 2018
Clearly in Jesus' teaching a requirement for discipleship is to have a forgiving heart. Jesus Himself modeled his teaching from the cross. But forgiveness is really a process with specific steps toward the goal of forgiveness. In our time together, we will identify those steps of forgiveness and in the end perhaps make the idea of forgiveness less daunting.
Joel Stepanek, Director of Resource Development for LIFE TEEN, speaker and author, joined the men gathered at St. Patrick Catholic Community's Men's Mass & Breakfast on March 10, 2018. He shares some practical insights on living a life of faith using Ignatian spirituality.

On Saturday, April 7, around 200 women from our parish, visitors, and guests gathered together for Mass, breakfast, and a talk from Sr. Dorothy K. Ederer, who is a Dominican sister and author of 15 books. She spoke about "Women of Courage, Compassion & Confidence." It was a wonderful time of fellowship and inspiration.
