While many people believe that Cryptocurrency is new and will be the money of the future, more than 150 years ago there was a surprisingly similar monetary system in the United States. Between 1837 and 1862 there were as many as 8,370 different currencies in use with differing values, many created by private individuals or companies – does this sound familiar?

Trent Remillard is a Pioneer Fellow of MFF, a graduate of Bryant University, and currently works as a Financial Advisor at TD Bank. We have a great conversation going through his history at MFF, the outlook on the economy, crypto, and learn he doesn't know the 'van down by the river' SNL skit.
Allison is the Daughter of MFF Founder, Michelle Demirjian. Allison is one of our original Pioneer Fellows to go through the MFF program. She interned internally with MFF to get a more hands on learning experience. Allison graduated with a Bachelors of Health Science Studies in 2021 and an Masters of Business Administration in 2022 both at Quinnipiac University.
In March 2021, Allison began working as a Sales Intern for Aflac Insurance. She hit the ground running and quickly became the #1 Sales intern in the Northeast and #3 in the country.
In August 2020, while completing her undergrad and graduate degrees, she founded a clothing repurposing company called Al’s Articles where she buys clothing through thrift stores and improves and repurposes the clothing to encourage more sustainable clothing purchases.

She has several other real estate investment companies that she is part of in NH, NC, and FL.
She is the Chief Financial Advisor of NH Granite State Ambassadors and founding board member and Treasurer of NH Granite State Games.
Her Daughter, Allison, was one of the first Pioneer Fellows to complete the program.
In this podcast, we discuss her story. Michelle took a chance over twenty years ago to move from Illinois to NH to take a bookkeeping position for a property management company. Since then she has worked along with Peter Morgan to gain extensive experience in the finance, real estate investment, and property management fields.

COO of Morgan Legacy Partners and Fellow of Morgan Franklin Fellowship, Krysten Reilly shares her story of how she and her husband took a chance and moved from Portland, ME down to Charlotte, NC. Her husband had a job opportunity as a College Professor, but Kysten had to leave the comfort of an 8 year career in Hospitality Management to take a chance as a contractor in a new industry. After their move, they also bought their first house and welcomed their first child, all during the pandemic. In her free time, Krysten enjoys creating artwork and battling real estate developers who are attempting to tear down the trees outside of her house.
