Welcome to the KOOLIKEDAT Podcast. My name is Koo Chung. Some of you might remember me as a singer-songwriter back in the day, but when I stopped doing music, it felt like I’d lost my identity altogether. Over time, I realized that people are so much more than what they do, and I’m grateful for the time I spent away from music because it revealed to me who I really was apart from it. On this podcast, I talk about things and ideas I LIKE, and if I’m lucky - WITH the actual people behind them. Some might say: ‘never meet your heroes’, but my quest is to do the exact opposite of that. I want to talk to as MANY people I'm a fan of as possible, to get to know them beyond their craft, and to hear about what makes them tick, and what makes them so KOOLIKEDAT.
We made it to episode 10! To celebrate, we invited a very special guest and good friend - Arden Cho! (Kira from Teen Wolf, and Ingrid Yun from the new Netflix series, “Partner Track”) Join us as we talk authenticity, tough love, and professional puking... and much more!
After a 1 year hiatus, Koo and Katie return to finish out Season 1, with this second to last episode before the Season Finale! Catch up with us as we catch up with each other!
Part 2 with our guest: Tim Ouyang
Tim Ouyang (Tim Be Told) - is simply one of the most talented singer/songwriters I know, hands down. He has the voice of an angel. If music is a snapshot of Tim’s inner world, he truly has a beautiful mind and heart.
His latest musical offering, “Watching Over You” can be found on the compilation album that just released this month - called SERENADE - “To unsung queer youth who feel unseen, unwelcome, unloved. This is our serenade to you”

On episodes 7 & 8, Tim shares his story about coming out in 2017, and unpacks what that meant for him in his life and his music career - and of course we talk about a whole lot more (including his side-business Bay On A Budget)!

On this week's episode, we've got my good friend, Johnny Chay! Johnny is a multi-instrument playing, insanely talented Producer who has collaborated with amazing artists such as HIGHST and Arden Cho.
Listen to Johnny's Latest Release "Right Where We Left Off"!
SO GOOOOOD!
It was always a goal of mine to work with him, and he was gracious enough to make that happen as well: Only You (which just happens to have my previous two guests Jason Min and Sarah Kang on it as well))
Johnny also has a podcast called "Johnny's Friend", which is about... friendship, so this episode pays a bit of homage to his show!
