Legacy Church Student Ministry (LegaStu) exists in order to help students DISCOVER the love of Christ, DEEPEN their faith in Christ, and DEPLOY the Good News about Christ. BOTTOM LINE: Before you do something about injustice, you have to see it. GOAL: To help students develop the practical skill of noticing injustice around them. SCRIPTURE: “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” (Matthew 25:41-46 NIV).
BOTTOM LINE: When it comes to family, peace is always possible. GOAL: To remind students that no matter what happens with their family, they have the choice to choose peace. And for them to think critically about cultural messages that tell them they should be emotionally unaffected by sexual activity or content. When it comes to God's plan for sex, there's more to the story.
GOAL:
For students to begin rethinking God’s plan for their sexuality in terms of sexual integrity (not just virginity) and discover what that means in their personal life.
SCRIPTURE:
"I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything (1 Corinthians 6:12 NIV).
BOTTOM LINE: It’s personal because Jesus knows your potential. GOAL: To help students recognize that, because of Jesus, anyone can radically change – including them. SCRIPTURE: This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV)!

Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross (Philippians 2:5-8 NLT).

I must be a guest in your home today.” Zacchaeus quickly climbed down and took Jesus to his house in great excitement and joy. But the people were displeased. “He has gone to be the guest of a notorious sinner,” they grumbled (Luke 19:5-7 NLT).
