She had planned to see the football game with her sister LaSwanda. After LaSwanda woke up from a nap, Shy'Kemmia was not at home. She was last seen playing down the street. When LaSwanda returned from the gas station to pick up her sister, Shy'Kemmia was not there, neither was she at the football game. The family was told by the police that they had to wait 24 hours before they could report her missing. That was not true. The investigation was delayed 14 hours which meant crucial time had passed. After 33 years, Shy'Kemmia has still not been found.
