Enough is Enough! This episode is totally unscripted, totally unplanned, but I just can not call this podcast The New LOL without doing what I challenge you to do.
Even though we live in a world where we redefine almost everything, don't be so quick to say what God would or wouldn't do or say. Read your Bible and then see what you think.
We have more control over what goes on in our lives than we even realize. It's your choice.
If you are going to sign up for this annual exercise, please know what you are doing and why.
Sometimes it's not so easy to admit when you let your guard down and lose something important to you - and to God.
Not everything you hear - even in church - is the truth. No matter who tells you it is.
Everybody needs to have one person that goes with you on every adventure, even the ones that are foolish and make absolutely no sense.
Have you ever noticed how when you are driving if you look off to the side of the road your car starts going in that direction? Or when you are trying to run if you look behind you it always slows you down? Still, we just can't seem resist the urge to look everywhere but ahead. Not smart. Not smart at all.
No matter what we see or experience in present tense, there is always more to the story.
I'm telling you, if I knew this when I first started, this whole journey would look completely different.
You are either a person who enjoys the spotlight or does not, but most of us feel like there are just some things that are better left in the dark. God just doesn't always agree.
Maybe you can't relate but sometimes when things are difficult and not going the way you planned you may ask yourself, What's the point? Just know that if you have felt that way you are certainly not alone.
When it's time to fight, you really need to be settled on the question. Exactly who do you think YOU are?
This is episode is NOT about that scripture in Matt. 18:19, "where 2 or 3 touch and agree on anything it shall be done for them." This is about a different kind of agreement and if you have any goals you are trying to achieve as we enter this new year you need to check and see if you have one of these in place.
There is a slight connection between this year's most popular verse and last year but I am still encouraged. If the people who saved and shared this verse actually applied this, we are headed in the right direction and it is a great reminder for us all.
I have been thinking about the Bigness of God and the smallness of us. I wonder what it would look like if we really let Him be who He is - in us, through us, and around us.
I think all of us can say we want a deeper relationship with God or something like that but the real question is, what's stopping you?
In a moment, like in the blink of an eye your entire point of view can change from one thing into another and it will change your life. Your time is coming.
So apparently it's not enough to just do all the right things, it's not what you do, it's why you do it.
There is no question that friends are hard to come by these days and if you want to HAVE friends, it's a good idea to BE one. It may be time for some personal evaluation.
I'm sure you've heard people say, "Be careful what you pray for, you just might get it" - well, it's true.
Just because we are alive in a fallen world there are challenges that confront us almost daily. But even though we may find ourselves in crisis from time to time to time, that does not mean that we cannot come out on top, and the way we respond has a lot to do with it.
There are certain things you would never expect God to ask of you. The real question is not would He ever ask, but what would you do if He did?
You ever hear the saying "If you don't expect anything, you won't be disappointed"? The expectation thing is a big deal and you may need to check yours - especially if you really want to see God move.
On the Jewish Calendar, last year was the year of the mouth and if we are not careful we may soon start reaping the fruit of what we have sown with our words. You might want to start paying attention.
Nothing like reading a so called children's story from the Bible to challenge your commitment to God.
Forget about the headlines, just open your eyes and look around you. There is a real battle going on and we are public enemy #1.
Who among us doesn't just want to be free? But what does that look like for Christians?

Sometimes when I read the Bible and I see the radical obedience of some of those guys, it makes me wonder if I even know what is means to be a christian at all. Would I have done what this guy did? Would You?

Somehow we have decided that there is no such thing as black or white anymore. Most of us define and label ourselves any way that we choose. So what does it even mean to be a Christian?
No matter how long you have been a Christian, there are times in our lives when everything changes. This was one of those times.
This has been a year like nothing we have ever gone through and most of us are just ready and waiting for it to end. I hear you...And so does God.
If you ask 5 different people you will surely get 5 different answers. But what does love look like to God?
Now more than ever we have to sort through all the noisy, loud voices and be sure of exactly who's talking at all times.
There are so many voices clamoring for our attention right now, don't get distracted. Remember who your true enemy is.
There's an awful lot of name calling going on right now. It kind of made me start thinking about what's in a name anyway.
